Nyrissa, Ryan, and Quentin had a lot to gain from entering into a marriage contract. Nyrissa could get her sister away from their drug-addicted family. Ryan and Quentin would finally be free of Ryan's manipulative, homophobic father. 
They all felt it was perfect. Ryan and Quentin could continue their relationship, and Nyrissa would have the security she needed. But the attraction was soon too much for them to ignore.
Scarred from a painful past, Nyrissa wasn't sure how she could share her life with another person, much less two wildly attractive men that seemed perfect for her.

The rest of the night went relatively boring comparatively. Nyrissa followed Mandy into her bedroom in hopes of trying to find out what was going on between her and the two officers outside the room. But Mandy was unusually quiet. Nothing Nyrissa had tried had worked to loosen up Mandy's tongue.


By the time Ryan and Natalie had come back with pizza and beer, Nyrissa had given up. 


"DINNER!" Natalie's voice echoed through the apartment.


Mandy winced and looked out towards the living room with obvious dread. Nyrissa put her hand on her friend's shoulder. 


"Mandy, just tell me what's going on. Please?" Nyrissa begged her best friend. 


Mandy just shook her head. "It's nothing, really. But if you think you all have this, then I'm gonna head home. I have to get up early tomorrow." 


Nyrissa knew an excuse when she heard one, but with the panic on her friend's face, she couldn't bring herself to call her out on it.
