"I just don't... I don't want either of you to think I-I'm expecting to... know that this isn't a real marriage. So-so if you two would rather be alone-"
Quentin squeezed her waist, and Ryan grabbed her feet.
"Nyrissa, we are right where we want to be. YOU are right where we want you to be. Tonight, I don't want you to worry about anything. For tonight, let's just pretend that we are any other normal married people. Do you think you can do that?" Ryan asked softly.
Nyrissa wondered if she should. Maybe it was the glasses of champagne, or maybe it was temporary insanity. But she decided that for one moment, for one night, she wanted to pretend this was a joyous occasion. Like she was truly married to these two amazing men.
"Yes, we can do that," Nyrissa agreed softly.
The smile on Ryan's face was well worth the amount of courage she'd had to agree with him.
"Thank you, baby," Quentin whispered in her ear. "That is the best wedding gift we could have asked for."
