Ryan and Quentin watched the town car leave before they headed back into their house. 


"What the hell is going on?" Quentin asked Ryan the moment their door was closed. 


"What do you mean?" Ryan asked casually as he walked toward their office. 


Quentin grabbed his arm to stop him. Ryan turned around, and his face was a mask of indifference. But Quentin could see right through it and knew that something was wrong. 


"Don't give me that sh*t, Ry," Quentin snapped in frustration. 


He knew something had been going on since their shower earlier. But Quentin hadn't had a moment to ask him about it.


Ryan pulled his arm away. "I'm not, Q. Everything is fine. I just want to get to work." 


"We'll get there. But not until you explain what the h*ll is going on with you this morning. First, you bugged out on our shower before Nyrissa even got there. Then you have basically been ignoring her. What the h*ll, Ry?" Quentin pushed.
