A Vast World (Pt. 2)

As Andrew looked at the uncountable planets and stars, The Elder started explaining the rest of the Cosmos. The planets had many forms and colors he has never seen before, and as he glanced at them, the stars conceived light as many of them exploded and imploded.

"Now that we've talked about the main realms in the Cosmos, I will tell you about the Library of Tales, where the Books of Adam reside.

As I said, the Library of Tales contains the infinite Books of Adam. Each book represents a narrative and each one narrates a different story. The infinite amount of narratives allows infinite possibilities and beyond infinite books in the library. This is because the minimum decision and action cause another world -which causes a new narrative- where that decision wasn't taken and where that action didn't happen, or where they happened differently. Those parallel worlds are happening around you, but you can't see them."

"So basically, because I moved one centimeter more when walking, a new world was created where I moved one centimeter less?"

"Yeah."

"I see. But I have a question, do you protect your own creation? Because when I destroyed a few universes you didn't stop me."

"You are misunderstanding my role in the Cosmos. I created the Cosmos, yes. But 3 universes aren't that relevant. As I'm aware of the multiple dangers for the Cosmos, simply no one would be capable of surpassing my absolute authority over the whole Cosmos, so just by thinking of it, any threat to the Cosmos would be gone in less than an instant. I could just erase its very essence, its very cause, its very conscience, its very history and narrative, I would just absolutely wipe it from existence, without leaving any trace of it, with that action being absolutely irreversible. If that somewhat fails -which is completely impossible- I would just nullify its actions, so it couldn't really damage anything. That's why I created Adam, the Guardian of the Stars. He is the protector of the wide world, mainly of books. I created him with the attributes of the absolute fighter. It's in his very essence that he wins every single fight he fights, it is something the narrative demands to happen, as it is an absolute truth that demands it to be like that. Only I can bend its absolute truth to stop him. His objective is simple, defeat everything that tries to defeat him or damage the Books of Adam, and he will always accomplish his objective."

"And from who is he protecting the Cosmos?" Andrew asked while he collapsed even more galaxies along with their stars and planets.
