PERMISSION

"Father, please help her out. Suk-bin her majesty mustn't leave the palace for any reasons. If that happens, Yeoning's safety can't be guaranteed. Our marriage might not even hold anymore." Ok Jung pleads to her father as she sits opposite him with the rest of the family too.

Lord Jang sighs deeply with his eyes closed. "I don't think there is anything I can do at this moment. The king is still very much angry and in a mourning state, I am very sure he wouldn't listen to anyone right now."

"I think I understand the king's pains." Hae Jae adds. "He must be very mad that he lost his mom because of his mistress."

"But he should try and consider his mistress too, she lost a lot all because of the so called queen dowager." Says Bai.

"What do we do now?" She asks her father.

"We just have to wait till the king his majesty's anger suppresses." Lord Jang replies.

"Do you believe he can summon her back when his anger suppresses?" Ok Jung asks again.

"I think we should hope so and work towards that."

"Do you think the queen and her followers will allow her return to the palace?" Hae Jae asks.

"That is exactly why I think we shouldn't even allow her leave the palace in the first place." Bai whispers.

"Father!" Ok Jung calls with the hope of getting the positive reply she wants.

"I won't lie to you, there is nothing we can do concerning Suk-bin her majesty's case. But, you can become responsible for prince Yeoning and protect him when she is not there."

"I don't want to be his mom when his mom is still alive and sound father, just try having a discussion with the king." She pleads.

"My lord, it is i Ae rin. She announces from outside.

"Ae rin?" Ok Jung asks herself as she is surprised that her maid will seek audience with her father.

"Come in!" Lord Jang orders.

Ae rin walks in and bows. "My lord, prince Yeoning his highness is here to have an audience with you."

"The prince?" Lord Jang asks.

"Yeoning is truly here?" Ok Jung asks too.

"Yes, my lady." Ae rin replies with a nod.

"Let him in immediately, why did you have him waiting?" Bai asks.

"Yes my lady." Ae rin bows and walks out.

Prince Yeoning walks in and receives the bows form the entire family and goes on to take his sit as the eldest in the room. "I am sure you have heard of what happened in the palace." He whispers in a very low tone and facing no one but the wall opposite him.

"You shouldn't be like this your highness, you need to be strong." Hae Jae says trying to console the prince.

"Yeoning." Ok Jung calls softly. "Your current mood won't help the situation at all, we all need you to be strong in order to figure out what to do concerning Suk-bin her majesty's case."

Slowly, he moves his gaze from the wall and faces his beloved. "Ok Jung." He calls with a smile. "Our marriage can't even hold once my mom is out of the palace."

"I will do whatever it takes to make sure this marriage takes place." Lord Jang promises. "Please, just be strong."

"Thank you." Yeoning appreciates faking a smile and he hands over his mom's letter to Ok Jung. "My mom asked me to give this to you."

She quickly collects the letter and reads the content without taking a break. After reading the letter, she folds it and faces her husband to be. "What about the ministers?"

"They already turned their backs on my mom because of my marriage to you."

"What?" The entire Jang family chorus.

"Yes." Yeoning whispers with a nod.

"Those good for nothing old men, they surely think everything is about power and politics." Hae Jae fumes.

"Those men seriously need to be dealt with." Bai whispers.

"I want to meet with the minsters this night." Ok Jung says changing the topic.

"Why?" Lord Jang asks bluntly.

"I need to discuss with them on how to save Suk-bin her majesty."

"They already turned their backs on her, they can't do anything concerning the issue on ground." Hae Jae says trying to point out some things.

"I am aware of that. But I am also sure that they will be dying to have a word with someone. Without Suk-bin her majesty, none of them are safe either." Ok Jung says with a lot of confidence and assurance.

"My mom already made provision for that." Yeoning says with his voice a bit brightened. "She had instructed lady Baek to send word to the ministers."

"Father." Ok Jung calls calmly. "I need your permission on this."

Lord Jang hesitated for a while, but after some seconds of thinking, he gives out his permission. "Fine, just make sure you are careful."

"Yes father." She says and bows with a smile.
