Sometimes You Just Slap Them

--AN: Tad late tonight lost net for a bit.--

Since praying was getting me nowhere, I stood back up and looked around. I really had no idea what I was doing. "Why is this one so much harder?"

I really did not understand what I was supposed to do. I mean, there were no clues at all. I walked over to one of the stalls that had a well fed man standing behind it and looked at him curiously. "Hello?" I called out, but the man did not seem to even hear me and just kept staring ahead. "Are they not even able to see me?"

This made me even more curious as to whether or not these things were just wandering spirits or not. I walked up to one of the older ladies who was standing there talking to someone else. I reached up and tried to touch her, but instead of grabbing anything, my hand went through her, and she was suddenly sucked into my body. "What!? What just happened!?"

I have no idea if this was some kind of sick joke, but the energy that flowed into me was the same as the elements from before. "Is the white element life magic?" I wondered.

Unsure of if I was doing the right thing or not, I began racing around the whole town, smacking everyone on the butt. I mean, I could have just hit their thighs, but something about smacking them on the butt in front of this angel statue made me giggle. It was like one of those 'take that, you bastards!' moments. Luckily when I reached the final one and smacked them on the butt. The light flowed into me, and a message popped up.

"Well, I guess that is that. And I even prayed too… Sigh, such a waste. They had such a pretty little girl pray to them, and they ignored me. Some angels." I muttered as I transformed into my demonic form and punched the statue, causing it to explode before the area disappeared and turned into a grassy plain. "Ahh! I feel much better!"

"Now then! I need to do the last one, which will be in my human form, but I will just fly over there." I muttered to myself as I flapped my wings and flew across the grassy field. When I landed in front of the gray area, I changed my form to my human form and stepped forward. This place was like any other forest but it was just gray in color. However, there were no animals to be found.

I followed the path towards the end, where I saw a large gray orb floating there. It was at least five times the size of me. I looked it up and down for a little bit but saw nothing off about it so I placed my hand on the orb, only for it to suck into my body like everything else. Very simple with no annoyance of trying to figure out what I am supposed to do.

[Acquired Spell: Lesser Acceleration]

"Oh? So null magic is a mix of things?" Although the names of the spells were kind of self explanatory, I still wanted to look at what each of these spells did, but before I could, I suddenly felt a great suction on my body, and before I could even figure out what was happening, my vision went black for a few seconds only to regain it to see that I was now standing back in the cathedral.

"Bella!" Someone cried out my name and before I knew it I was embraced by my mother.

"Why did it take so long!? Are you okay!?" My mother asked. I turned and looked at her in confusion.

"Hmmm? Because I had to get three elements." I replied.

"What!?" A shriek came from my left. I turned to see Princess Leslie standing there staring at me with eyes filled with jealousy. "You dare have more elements than me!? Fireball!"

Princess Leslie yelled out, causing a dinky little flame to sprout from her hand and fly slowly towards me. My mother went to pull me behind her, but I stopped her and shook her head. "No… it's fine." I said as I muttered softly: "Lesser Acceleration…."

I disappeared from where I stood, and the next thing everyone heard was….

*Smack!*

A plopping sound was heard soon after followed by a: "WHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!! Sheeeeeeeeee Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttt Meeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daddddddddddddddddyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!"

My hand was still held out, my palm red and my handprint imprinted on the princess's face. The princess was not looking at me, only at her father. I turned to the king, or should I say my uncle, and bowed my head: "Sorry, but that was the last straw."

"Haha! It's fine. Maybe this will be a lesson for her. Don't worry. I will be sure she is well disciplined from now on. But tell me, what did you just do?" My uncle seemed more curious about my elements than his own daughter. I sighed inwardly, not wanting to really continue, but I still told everyone my elements. "I have Light, Dark, and Null elements. The spell I just used is called acceleration. I did not know its effects until I actually used it, but it was kinda what I expected." I answered.

"This…. Both Light and Dark are the rarest of the rare, and the Null element is like having everything that doesn't fit in normal elements." The priest looked at me as if he was looking at a treasure which caused me to shrink back a little. But My father and my uncle both stepped in front of me.

"Don't even think about trying to get her to join the church." My father said in a stern tone.

"You can't be serious, she is…." The priest wanted to continue, but my uncle cut him off. I was a bit confused as to what was going on, but I knew now was not the time to ask. I could only listen and try to figure it out myself, if I could.

"She is our kingdom's treasure and my niece. I will not allow her to be taken in by the church. You will never let her see the light of day again." I think I understood what was going on. The church probably took in kids with multiple elements, especially those with rare elements. And from what my uncle just said these kids never get to leave the church.

"That is not true at all! Such children like Bella should be protected at all costs! The church is the best place…." I couldn't take this any more… Why was everyone deciding my life for me?

"Ummm… your preistiness.." I spoke up, cutting the old man off. He turned and looked at me, so I continued: "I have no intentions of allowing anyone to make decisions about my life. Especially not a church. So please forget the idea you have right this instant. Plus…. You wouldn't be able to keep me here even if you tried to use force."

"Ah, that is true…." My mother shook her head. I was happy to have some backing, but my lips pursed, listening to the last part: "She's a monster after all. She has the strength of an army. But she is a cute monster!"

"Leave the monster part our!" I yelled out while stomping my feet, causing those in my family to laugh.

"You! Do you know what you are saying!? Only the church can properly teach you how to use the rare elements! Dark magic and light magic are not like the other elements where you can use a simple spell like the princess just now. It takes time to learn how to use them. Otherwise, you will never be able to use them in your entire life!" The priest tried to explain, but I shook my head.

"So if I prove to you that I can use them, will you stop making a fuss?" I asked.

"Humph! Fine if you can use a single spell from both elements, I will not say a word more." The priest seemed confident that I couldn't cast any of these spells.

"Mmm… remember your promise. Lessor summoning…." A magic circle appeared on the floor in front of me, and from it, a small black creature appeared and stood there looking at me. It had red eyes like the wolves I fought in the black forest. When I looked at it, I could feel a strange connection with it, so I crouched down and waved my hand for it to come forward. It was a bipedal type monster with short stubby legs and arms. Its hands had long, sharp looking black fingernails. It also had a huge head and big red eyes. But its most eye catching feature was the sharp teeth in its open bloody mouth.

When it came to my side, I reached up and patted its head, and it acted kinda like a kitten or puppy would when you pet them. "So this is a summon…."

"What!? A Blooddevil Imp!? A Class C monster!" The priest yelled out causing me to tilt my head. I have no idea what he meant by a class c monster.

"Class C monster?" I asked.

"Bella, you can read up on monsters later." My father said as he walked to my side. "But to think you can summon such a creature on your first try. You never cease to amaze me."
