Searching For Princess Leslie Part 2

"So we got a prim and proper brat this time around, huh?" A man's voice caught my attention as I entered the warehouse.

"Yeah, we just happened to find a path by the castle that led right to the castle walls where some girl in a dress was standing there. She kept yelling something about being a princess but who the hell would believe her when she was covered in dirt? You can tell she was probably just trying to pretend to be a princess by hanging by the castle walls. You know how stupid these kids are. I mean, you tell them you will feed them some good food, and they will willingly follow you." Another man replied.

While I felt that these men were stupid, this helped me know that Princess Leslie was here. But before I can actually do anything, I need to ensure her safety. Only when I saved her would I be able to deal with the others. I slipped past the two men who were talking, making good use of the shadows. While I was not really worried about being caught, I still had no idea where they were keeping the kids they kidnapped. "I need some higher ground to see if I can spot anything…." I mumbled to myself.

I looked around until I saw a metal beam that had a metal rafter connected to it. I quickly made my way over to it, and after checking around to make sure no one would see me, I quickly scurried up it like a monkey. When I reached the top, I crawled along the thin metal beam and looked around the room. It was then that one of the doors at the side opened, and a man walked in with a young kid in rags. "I got another one."

"Haha, we are doing quite well today. This shipment should pay us well." One of the other men replied with a smile.

"Don't even think of trying to move any of these kids right now. The knights are out searching for something. They are all over the west side. So for now, we will all be staying here." The man who had walked in ordered. He was much taller and muscular than the other two. "Where are Fourth and Fifth? They still have not returned?"

"We have no idea. They haven't shown up today either." One of the men answered.

"Those idiots! They were probably caught. Doesn't matter. Until I say so, none of you are to leave this place. Tell Sixth that he needs to keep a good eye on the kids. If a single one of them escapes, our entire business will be destroyed, and we will suffer." I could only guess that the man who had just talked was the leader.

I was about to make a move, but if there was another man inside watching the kids, this would make things a bit more difficult. I did not wish to let anyone get hurt. And if I had knights come, it would make things even worse.

"For now, I will just see where the kids are being kept…." I watched as the leader of the group of kidnappers brought the kid over to a bunch of boxes. He then pushed a box out of the way, revealing a set of stairs leading down. "Get downstairs and ask Sixth for some food. If you cause a fuss, I will send you to the bottom of the canal."

"Hmm?" Heh, was he actually feeding these kids? Or maybe trying to raise them to be better goods. At any rate, I now knew where the entrance was. I opened a portal and slipped back into the castle.

"Bella!" My uncle yelled out. "Did you find her?"

"I wanted to let you know that I did find her, at least I think. But I will need to wait until the kidnappers go to sleep to get her out. I also need your permission to allow all the kids kidnapped to be brought here." I couldn't just start sending a bunch of kids through my portal magic to the throne room after all.

"Of course! They are the children of my kingdom! I will never abandon them. But Bella, should we not send knights in and capture the kidnappers now?" My uncle asked.

"If you want some dead kids on your hands, then you can, but I would suggest waiting until I snuck in there when the kidnappers go to sleep. I swear I will bring Princess Leslie back. But please do not do anything stupid. But if you could, please have your men surround a certain part of the west side slums. That would secure the surroundings in case the kidnappers try to escape." I replied. I know he was anxious but things needed to be handled carefully. I did not wish to see my cousin hurt unless I was the one beating her up. In other words, it is fine for me to touch my family but not others.

"Yes, just tell me where." My uncle answered, his eyes full of worry.

"It's here. The warehouse tucked away in trees there." I opened a portal of the area I was at when I first discovered the warehouse. My uncle stuck his head through the portal and looked around before waving over one of the knights at the side. "Have an order passed down to surround this entire area but not to close as we do not want to tip them off."

"Yes, Your Majesty." The knight replied after seeing the location for himself.

When they were done, I closed that portal and created another one to the beam I was standing on before. "I will be going. Just wait for me to return before you send you men in."

"I understand we will not move unless you tell us." My uncle replied with a nod. I do wonder if he realizes he is listening to orders from a five year old. Not that I mind since this makes things easier for me. If they had tried to argue with me and were not willing to listen to what I had to say, then I wouldn't have bothered since it would mean he did not care about his daughter, but luckily, my uncle seemed to be a smart man.
