Searching For Princess Leslie Part 3

When I arrived back at the warehouse, I was basically stuck listening to the men talking about the women they slept with. Things I really highly doubt, but still a conversation I want to wipe from my memory. It was only about three hours later that two of them passed out while the leader walked around the place doing some checks before retiring to the office area of the warehouse.

With no one around to really stop me now or cause a scene that would alert anyone, I stealthily climbed down from the rafters and made my way over to the box that was covering the entrance to the basement. Right now, my only worry was the man down below. Luckily the place was very dark at this time, so I switched to my demon mode to allow myself to see a bit better. Demons have decent eyesight in the dark, which was very helpful. I carefully lifted the box off the ground and sent it to the forest near the castle wall. This way, no sounds would be made at all. Only then did I slowly climb down the stairs into the basement area.

This place did not smell good at all. The kids probably had no bathroom and had to defecate on the ground, which was causing this stench. The basement area was dimly lit, and from what I could tell, there was actually one room off to the side, which I could only assume was where the person they called sixth was. I placed my ear on the door to listen for any sounds. I could hear the sounds of sobbing down the hall and a low snoring coming from the room.

I unsheathed my knife and slowly opened the door to the room. Inside, a bald headed young man was sleeping in a chair with his feet propped up on the desk. He was so defenseless that I almost wanted to make some noise to wake him. But I decided against it because of Princess Leslie and the other kids.

I floated up to be around his height and ran my knife across his throat, causing him to wake up sputtering out blood from his mouth, trying to call for help. I, of course, covered his mouth with my hand so he couldn't make too much noise. Once he stopped moving, I gently laid him on the ground before walking back out into the hall and making my way to the prison cells. I switched back to my human mode as I reached the cells and looked inside. Many kids were curled up in a group trying to sleep. I noticed one person who stuck out from the rest. She had her head buried in her knees as she quietly sobbed.

I sighed because now things would become a bit troublesome. To get into the cell, I would need to make noise. Luckily I had my bow on me, so even if they were able to instantly appear here, I would be ready. I grabbed the metal bars and ripped them right off their hinges, causing a loud sound to echo out from within the basement, waking all the kids and kidnappers at the same time. I could hear them upstairs yelling.

Princess Leslie lifted her head. Her red puffy eyes from crying went wide as she looked at me. She wanted to open her mouth, but I raised my hand and pushed a finger to my lips. I then waved my hand and created a portal in the room. "Everyone, get through the portal now!" I yelled out before turning my attention back toward the stairs. I could hear the men running over towards us. They would be here any minute now.

"Listen to her! Quickly let's go!" I was quite stunned as I saw Princess Leslie not jumping through the portal first but instead was actually helping the others through first. I would have done this myself and sent her through first, but there were too many cells, and I could hear kids in them as well. I was not about to abandon any of them.

"Leslie, once they are all in, go through as well. Do not worry about me!" I yelled out.

"But!" Princess Leslie wanted to argue, but I yelled out, cutting her off: "Just do as I say!"

"You damn brat, what do you think you are doing!?" I heard a man yell. I turned to see the leader of the kidnappers running towards me. I sneered and drew my bow. An arrow made of mana appeared, and when I released it, it went flying straight at the man, causing him to jump to the side. But the kidnapper behind him was not as lucky as his head was pierced through.

"Damnit! You will pay for that!" The leader of the kidnappers raised his hand and formed a fireball, and sent it flying at me. Seeing the blazing inferno flyings straight towards me, I cast blessing of might, lesser strengthen, and lesser boost on my body before stretching out my hand and tapping the fireball with my little index finger. "Lesser teleport."

The fireball disappeared, causing the leader of the kidnappers to stare at me in confusion, only to hear cries of pain coming from behind him. He turned around to see his other comrade engulfed in flames. "Hehe…. Your fireball was not bad."

"You!?" The leader of the kidnappers stared at me with fear in his eyes. He no longer had the sinister look in them as he had before. But it was already too late for him because by the time he turned his attention to me, my fingers released another arrow.

"That's four…" I let out a breath of air as I turned to see Princess Leslie still standing there, staring at me in awe. "What the hell are you doing!? Hurry up and get out of here!"

It was only then that Princess Leslie snapped out of it and jumped through the portal. I closed it and then moved to help the other kids. Within five minutes, all the kids were rescued. Their ages ranged from five to seven years old. They only went for the young ones who were easy to trick.

When I arrived in the throne room, Thirty kids were all sitting on the ground waiting for the doctors that had been called in to check on them. I saw Princess Leslie at her father's side crying her eyes out. He looked up at me and nodded his head.

"Bella!" My mother ran over to me and knelt down next to me, and hugged me.

"Mother, careful there is blood on me." I whispered in a hushed voice. My hands and sleeves were covered in blood from the one I killed first.

"Like I care about that! I am just glad you are okay."
