Lurking Shadow

---------------------11-----------------------

From the damp cavern smell, creeping vines, and rusting equipment laid down by adventurers that most likely did not manage to destroy the dungeon core. Rumors once said there is a magnificent crystal that lays deep inside the dungeon which lures creatures and monsters alike, like a casted spell they follow the scent unknowingly being controlled and corrupted by the dungeon.

As Lisa and Rite maneuver deeper into the cavern of monsters, eerily ghost-quiet for reasons unknown, almost tainted in darkness the only dimly lit light was from Lisa's light magic creating the shape of a lantern.

Only being able to see several feet in front of them, they slowly creep forward avoiding traps and monsters alike.

Entering a room with walls of marble they glared straight into the colossus gate that stood between several bookshelves. On the top was a stone carving with carved humans heads, resembling a severe human head almost as if staring back at them, they both had a shock up their spines as they looked back at the carving inspecting the writing on top "Its an ancient language" Lisa said quietly still not able to keep her eyes off the heads, "Can't you read it?" Rite asked.

"Inside lays the god himself," Lisa said as she kept reading the next line, "The keeper of darkness, lord of the dead" "once entered, those who deemed to leave" and "Cowards will face the wrath of Cerberus."

A slit inside the dark gate made Rite walk over, peering through the slit between the two gates.

"Total darkness Lisa," Rite said.

"I could have probably guessed" Lisa replied while smirking for a moment.

Though both of them can sense that maybe they shouldn't be here, the entrance of this place was riddled with even more supplies from whoever was the last person to come here.

Quickly both of them figured that Yuna could not have possibly gone inside this place. While walking out they both felt as if something was staring at their backs, an cold feeling went through their bodies like a bolt of lightning. They both swiftly stared back seeing nothing.

After exiting the way they came from, this time the path they took was marked by Lisa smart as she is, experience from all the times she went adventuring with her parent's elven lands has ruins from the ancient races which spread across the whole continent, considered the hot spot of adventurers.

Rite is a human, in his childhood, he lost both of his parents due to the human conflict that spread across the land. His father was a warrior they were peasants without a choice he and his mother flee the kingdom of Skraven when swarms of corrupted monsters caused terror across the land.

Scatter across the dungeon more remnants of human adventurers who were left behind.

Meanwhile...…..

(Yuna's perspective)

Still considering continuing, she made up her mind that it would be safer if she returns to Lisa and Rite.

Looking around she was still at a dead end, she turned around and started walking back, slightly further ahead she spotted a figure, standing slightly slanted stares back. Even in the pitch black of the cavern, its eyes glare back with a tinged of red.
