I ignore the stares from a couple students on my way to my locker. Keeping my head a bit lower than usual.
The player had walked up next to me as I closed my locker. Intending for me to hold his hand. I refused by bumping his right shoulder as I walk past.
Not at least the bit rejected he followed right beside me. And as we got in line the people in front of us tried to talk to us, more him than me.
Not liking their attention, I simply looked away frowning as I cross my arms. Besides me the player gives them a glare that shuts them up and they return to face forward.
After picking up my sliver ware and a few napkins the player tells me to follow him. He had looked back a few times to make sure I was still there as if I would change my mind.
The classroom he had brought me to was empty. I had guessed that he came here often, though it was probably with a brunch of girls.
When he took a seat he began to causally eat, not worried that I would leave. The thought had crossed my mind, instead I slowly walk to sit in a desk next to him.
"What do you like to do?" he asked, making me wonder why he wanted to make small talk.
"What's it to you?" I reply, eating a spoonful of applesauce.
"I'm just trying to get to know you."
"And how do think it's going?"
I heard him scoff and say, "Terrible. Your barely giving effort."
"I'm giving barely enough effort for good reason," I said angrily.
"You wouldn't even bat an eye towards me afterwards." I took a sip of milk as he seemed weirdly speechless.
As I was complicating on leaving he spoke, "I guess I can see where your coming from. The party you see is my way of deciding."
"Deciding?" I questioned.
"If I really should bat my eyes on you afterwards."
He really is a playboy, I thought. Why would I care if he bats me an eye or not, I do not like him. Plus I am going to be a hot topic to discuss for the next weeks thanks to him. If anything I would want him to go back to never noticing my existence.
I had lost my appetite a bit and stood up to leave.
Not expecting him to pull me down on to his lap, I froze. A blush was forming on my cheeks from him holding me close to his chest. His chin rested on my head and his arms had wrapped around my waist tightly, preventing me from leaving.
"W-what are you d-doing?! L-let me go!" I stuttered weakly with my flustered face.
I tried to struggle, but I could only kick my legs helplessly and my hands were not strong enough to tear his arms away. He chuckled at my attempt to escape.
"Just relax and fill free to take a nap," he said into my ear and returned to put his chin back on my head.
Goosebumps ran through my body from the tickling sensation of his breath on my ear.
Against better judgement I relaxed a bit into him and closed my eyes. I did not notice that I fell asleep.
When I woke my left hand clung lightly to his shirt as my face was nestling into the crook of his neck. His left arm was swung around me to keep me in place. And his right hand moved some strands of hair from my face as I moved to get comfy.
"I did not imagine you would be so sleepy," he stated, watching my eyes flutter open and close.
"If anything I haven't gotten your name, little sweetheart."
"Sheila," I muttered before yawning.
"Sheila, I am Zaxton."
"Zaxton," I murmur, testing it on my tongue.
My muscles tense when I hear the bell ring and quickly try to get to my stuff.
Zaxton stops me with his left hand securing me to him. "Even if you leave now you'd still be late. Class has started."
He means to tell me that was the second bell; I should have never fallen asleep.
"If you didn't know, this room is abandoned because of what happened last year."
Last year? I mentally question, furrowing my eyebrows.
"But snice were alone and it is nice and quiet you can go back to sleep peacefully." There is a smile on his face.
"But class...," I try to argue before he shushes me up.
I reluctantly laid my head down on his shoulder. After adjusting multiple times to a position that was comfortable I placed my left hand on his chest rubbing a bit of the fabric of his shirt between my fingertips. And then feeling a pull to close my eyes, I lazily drew lines, circles and what on his chest before they fluttered shut.
In the moment of falling into a deep sleep, I allowed the gentle caresses up and down my back by Zaxton.
I would lightly tense up when the next bells rung and merely ignored them. After all I was forced to stay here.
My back felt a bit stiff as Zaxton shook me awake. I rubbed my eyes a bit to focus them.
"Schools about to be over with," He whispered.
"Mmm, okay," I yawned out.
He had let me hop off him and I stretched to wake myself up a bit. When I was done I caught him staring.
I wanted to teased him a bit before leaving and sat back down in his lap. It was funny to see his surprised expression. I leaned forward and kissed his cheek, then left him in the room to clean up the trays.
