Wraith Dragon

(You have integrated a divine magical bloodline!)

( Bloodline is currently at 10% integration and is 100% pure)

I looked at the notifications, grinning widely at the implications. I looked at the black core still in my hand and willed it to absorb. Intense pain began to wrack my body once again but, after a few minutes the pain faded to an uncomfortable tingle.

(Unable to integrate Death Mantis bloodline as you have a higher grade bloodline already...)

(Successfully integrated Death Energy affinity...)

(Your Blood Energy and Death Energy are compatible to be combined... would you like to combine Blood and Death Energy?)

(Yes/No)

'Yes!' I exclaimed excitedly, almost shouting out loud before I got ahold of myself. I felt the energies moving through my body and combining in a place around my stomach.

(You have successfully combined Blood and Death energy to create a higher energy form and affinity for yourself.)

( Wraith energy has been integrated into your bloodline.)

(Your bloodline has evolved from Blood Dragon to Wraith Dragon.)

'What? The amount of experience i need increased so drastically? This must have something to do with my new species and bloodline.' I made some deductions based on the fact that I just gained a massive boost to my stats and the fact that I was no longer human. Funnily enough, though, these facts didn't bother me. I was never a person that worried too much about things outside my control.

I decided to continue my journey and try out some of my new abilities when I got the chance. I did read through the skills and they were all pretty basic. Breath of Death was a breath weapon attack that cost energy to use. Death Fog was a fog I could control that secreted from my body and retracted at will. The others were obvious in their effects and they were both passive skills.

I continued into the forest, pushing through the undergrowth and keeping my senses sharp for any beasts I might come across. I travelled for about four hours before I came to another clearing. The tower in the center of the dungeon floor loomed above me and I could feel the immense pressure it gave off. It felt like the air and space around me had a life of their own, as if there were countless enemies surrounding me.

I calmed my nerves and set my sights on the creature sleeping in the center of the clearing. The creature was massive and was covered in black feathers, it had a head and face that looked decidedly like a dragon and was coiled up like a snake in the center of the open space. My breath caught when I noticed one of the creature's eyes open slightly to look in my direction.
