The Guardian of the Tower
As soon as the notification faded, I watched the Draco Serpent uncoiled and hissed at me. The hiss was closer to a growl than anything because of the draconic blood it had, which made the sound even more terrifying. The serpent gave off a thick fog of bloodlust and killing intent, enough to almost paralyze my body with fear.
I pulled my mind together and brandished my Scythe. This battle would be hard fought.
(Dragon Hide activated.)
Ghostly scales sprouted from my skin, covering me from my feet up to my neck. They looked ethereal and insubstantial.
( The Draco Serpent is immune to Dragon Fear.)
Of course, it wouldn't have dragon blood if it wasn't immune to fear.

Soul damage, better known as True damage. There was no way to block the energy from harming oneself. I ran towards the serpent and jumped up towards its face, swinging my scythe is a large, sweeping arc. I felt the blade connect and glance off the scales a bit, but it still left a cut on the creature's soul. The serpent reared back in pain and hissed loudly before diving at me, its mouth wide open as it tried to bite me out of the air.
Not being able to dodge midair, I brought the scythe swinging upward to stab into the roof of the beast's mouth, effectively stopping its bite but not its teeth. One fang pierced into my left shoulder, almost piercing through and I felt it release something into my body.
'Fuck' I thought just as the notification hit my vision.

My arm immediately became numb and I could feel the numbness slowly spreading through my chest. Instead of giving up on the fight, I decided to give the serpent my best shot.
I pulled back and took in a deep breath before willing the energy in my body to move. As I exhaled, an almost transparent white fire left my mouth as I activated my Breath of Death.
The flames hit the serpent directly in the face and I watched as its flesh began to decay and fall from its skeleton.
In a few moments the serpent collapsed to the ground, dead. I stared in shock at the corpse. I knew the Breath was powerful, but wasn't this a bit exaggerated?

I pulled in a deep breath and let it out shakily as the numbness in my body slowly faded. After a few minutes my body was back under control and I decided to use the two items I received.

I smiled at the information of the two items before storing them in my spatial ring. 'I need to make it to the next safe zone first.' I internalized as I stepped towards the tower entrance while checking my status.
