"Arghh—" The first thing he did after waking up was groan. He couldn't open his eyes carefully. His skin felt like it was burning, and he felt as if he was being swallowed by his own breath. "Where am I? Why is it so painful?"
He woke up with a blurry vision, but what struck him was the bright light. Luther wanted to scream in pain but he seemed as though taken for a hostage, he blinked his eyes open and he was leaning on a tree, leaning on to it, as the tree gave him shadow to hide in. When he was fully awake, that's when he saw everything so clear!
Clear?!
The sun was just above him and the only thing that kept him alive was the shelter provided by the huge tree. He vent his feet immediately because of fright, if ever the sunlight does touch his skin, this'll be the end of him and he still has a lot of questions left unanswered. He learned from his mother that he should never take his own life or else they won't ever meet wherever she is right now.
And that frightens him the most. Not being able to meet her again.
"What? Where am I?" He roamed his eyes around and he saw nothing but a fantasy land.
That's right, the way he describes it might only be a bare trap, but he wished that that was the case. However, after staring at every angle he could, he was shock, surprised, and mesmerized. All at once. Why was he in such a place? And then he remembered that he reached out to that hand. That hand that lured him inside that bright hole.
"I'm pretty sure that that was her hand." He realized how weird he sounded. "Well– it's not like I have some sort of fetish for hands, but the familiarity of that skin's tone is too unequivocal. Distinct to say the least." trying to recall all the happenings between that woman and him, there was no doubt that it could possibly her that pulled him in.
"But, why?"
Currently, he stood up and observed the place. Surprisingly, it was quiet and the sereneness was not even irking his bones. It was peaceful and it seemed as though there was nothin to worry about. The vast greenlands filled the entire place, the bright and colourful flowers implanted were swarming around as the bees… Wait bees? Those aren't bees!
A massive yellow creature was floating around the huge flowers? He did not even notice that it was that massive until his eyes were fixated to it. It was no ordinary fantasy land, but everything was unusual and you won't even find it normal planets such as Earth. He stood still as the creatures were roaming around from one flower to another of its pollen. Mushrooms were in different shade. But, everything else seemed normal. The cascade of the river was casually doing its things beside the massive tree he was resting not too long ago.
Right now, it almost made him fainted.
"This is not Earth at all. Where am I? The sun's light is suffocating, one more hour and I'll be one with the land." He went back to leaning back on the tree.
Just when he was about to close his eyes, he recognized someone was walking towards him, she was wearing a red dress, and her skin was as vibrant as a white paper, she was shimmering as the sun light touched her tone. She was fast approaching her and the more she was walking towards him, the more transparent her existent came to his eyes. That's when he realized it was her.
"Welcome to my world."
He opened his eyes and saw her smiling incandescently.
"It's you. You've been appearing in my life way too much, are you sure you're not some angel to come and collect my remains?" He cracked a dark humour joke, but somewhere inside him was actually meaning it. He said it as his body was collapsing.
She giggled and sat beside him. "You seem tired, but don't you want to be in a place like this? Where no one would judge you, nobody thinks you're weird nor an odd being, and where you can freely be yourself. This is a place where such being as you has the freedom to be as extraordinary as they are."
He heard her but the more he was staying awake, the more stress was burdening his back. He can't stand to be here for too long. "R-really? But, does this world ever gets dark? With all this sun's might, I don't think I have as much as the rest of the creatures here." He looked at her, with his drowsy eyes, and his face that was slight fading.
She looked hesitant to respond, however she eventually did. "Well, that's one thing. It never gets dark here. As much beauty this world exceeds, darkness is an excemption. Besides, this light comes from a nutritious power, and it's keeping as all alive here. I'm keeping this light up. Being in the dark for too long without absorbing energy will drain me. Which is why, if we would compare it to where you came from, the moon never visits this independent world."
"Where is even this world?"
She gave him the most assuring grin. "It's somewhere in between the heavens. It's a garden full of prophecies of the living. This place holds the very secret of each question that lies inside a human's heart and soul. A place where you can be who you are. And I, a gardener, tasked to maintain such beauty." She responded with a warm voice.
"Then…" With all his might, he turned his body direction to face her. "Who are you?"
She looked down and took his hands, gripped it, and looked at him; eyes full of hope and content. "I'm Rosaura, one Goddess."
"Goddess? Do you mean to say that I just sipped a goddess's blood? Then what does that make me?" Even though he had few strength left inside his system. He managed to open his eyes widely.
"You did. And it does nothing to your body, but as you have managed to acquaint yourself to one of the most priveleged blood there is. You are now under the spell and thus result in you being here. I only helped you eased your urges that time, but I never intended to lure you in with bad intentions. However, I felt at that moment when you stare above the heavens, you were truly desperate to escape that place. However, you did not seem to have the guts to kill yourself, and so I took you in. T'is truly forbidden for you to be here, but an excemption has arise as my blood lies inside you." Now that she thoroughly explained it to him.
It seems as if he was in another dimension. This is beyond supernatural. This is an entire different story told. He could not believe that he was settling down where Earth might not be existing.
"Hah, really?" Was the only thing that he could utter.
"Are you okay?"
"You're a goddess aren't you? Can't you seem to tell that a Vampire can't stay under a sunlight for too long? That's our weakness, like any other being, we also have our weak point. And the sun is the worst of them all. It may not be the Sun, but the energy it has, it's as if the Sun barely even disappeared. This might not be Earth, but it could be worst because of that light." he explained his side.
He observed her saddened face, but she was worried as well. It made him feel guilty, although he was the one whom badly wanted to see her, now that she's actually here facing him, makes him quite shy at the same time is weakening him.
"I wanted to see you. I badly do, but I can't stay here. Not when this is going to kill me."
"Then, what do you me to do?" She asked with eyes full of concern, genuinely she wanted to help him.
"I want you to bring me back too Earth, I promise you. Once I'm ready to be back, I'll stare at the Heavens once more. I'll be here and I could be able to stay." He was now gripping her hands, but slightly trembling. "Just let me think of a plan to not be weakened by this light."
She had hope. "Alright, I can definitely do that. Will you be able to stay there alive? For me?" She was aware of the dangers the earth holds for people such as him and even with normal people.
"I will. I still have a lot of untold stories to tell you. That's why, I hope you'll be able to wait for me."
She stood up and nodded at him. "Promise?"
He smiled weirdly, and said,"Promise."
That's when she gripped his hand once more and with that touch came out an even brighter light. Too bright that it almost blind him even after closing his eyes.
After that, everything went black.
What happened? What was all of that? Was it all just a mere dream? How could he be dreaming of such a vibrant lady who wanted to help him find the comfort that he mostly need?
Who was she?
What was her name?
