Chapter 7: "The Search Continues"

In a quiet village close to the border of the West and Central kingdom a group of bandits robbed the village and kidnapped the chief's daughter, as they were making their way back to their hideout they came across someone in a tattered cloak with an object all wrapped up on his back, as they got closer they realized it was a young boy about sixteen years old.

The leader of the bandits' asked "what's a kid like you doing out here all by yourself?" he didn't reply he just kept on walking past them, "what's up with that kid?" one of the bandits asked, then the young girl cried out, "are you gonna just let them take me! help me!" he stopped and slightly turns his head to the left and said,

"Unhand the girl and go," the bandits started to laugh at him, the girl bit the bandit that was holding her and she got away and ran towards the young wanderer, the leader bandit shouted, " you idiot! why did you let her escape? go get her," "I'm sorry boss, yes boss," said the bandit, as he was making his way over to the girl he turned around fully, the bandit felt a chill coming from the young man, the bandit stopped and said,

"Listen to me kid we have no issues with you so stand aside, she belongs to us," the young man reached for the wrapped object on his back, he pulls out a bow with no string and he didn't have any arrows to go with it, the other bandits started to laugh and said, "what a funny looking bow,"

"Get a load of this punk, come on guys let's beat the shit out of him!", " yeah, let us teach him a lesson for making fun of us," they said, The wanderer told the girl to stand behind him, he then held the bow out sideways and took a deep breath, he pulled back his arm as if he were pulling on a string as he exhaled.

" Air Arrow," said Zeph, a mighty gust of wind came from the bow along with the arrow and blew the bandits away! some ended up in the trees many meters away and the others ran away scared, the girl was astonished and happy that she was saved by this stranger, She asked "that was incredible, what is your name?" he replied, "I'm Zephyr but you can call me Zeph."

By this time her father, the Chief, and some of the men from the village had finally caught up to her, they were breathless, " Daughter you're ok, thank the heavens," said the chief, "yes father Zeph saved me from the bandits," said the Chief's daughter, "Zeph, thank you very much for saving my daughter I'm very grateful," said the Chief.

She then started to beseech Zeph to come to her village so she could repay him for what he had done, "yes please do," said the chief, he agreed so they took him to their village, her father was overwhelmed that his daughter was saved, he thanked Zeph with a meal, a tent and a hot bath, later on, that night, the Chief asked Zeph where he was from and he told him, then he asked about his family and he paused for a bit and said, " they aren't around anymore."

The Chief said "I'm sorry to hear that," Zeph then asked him if he had seen a group of people clad in a short black cloak with a strange symbol on it. he said, " no but I have heard of them a group of hunters but that's all I know, I hope you find them,

it does hurt when someone takes something away from you, something that you love dearly," Zeph spent two days there and then started to search again, "Where could those bastards be," I was on their trail about three villages back now I have lost them but I'll keep going, I won't stop until I find them, I have too," said Zeph to himself as he was walking through a forest.
