The Defence of The Castle

Shin with this horse, entered the capital fort on the same night. He prepared his bowmen, crossbowmen and rifle for the inevitable attacks from Asphodel.

During the meeting, Shin addressed his soldiers who would fight the battle to come.

"We need to crush them, not hold them off here. There is no help coming. We either defend the capital or we fall under Aspholdel's rule."

The words were harsh but they were the absolute truth. They needed to crush Apshodel's defence and launch and counterattack. If they fail, it is all over for Lynx.

Though a bit nervous, the soldiers wanted to protect their kingdom, an idea they all shared. Now they were facing the challenge of their concept and freedom. They weren't going to show any mercy.

As he gazed upon the motivated and confident-looking soldiers, Shin decided to move further with his explanation of the defence.

"The castle's structure is our most significant strategic advantage. It is wide, and the army was are facing is not that big either. They only have the option to push at one of three capital gates."

The gates were the only way to enter the castle as the other sides were filled with soil infested with toxic waste. Any route other than the gate's route was nearly a meter lower than the other surface and filled with poisonous substances.

"They can attack any of the three gates. We need to focus on protecting the two sides. The third side is well blocked my citizens themselves the gates has absolute security."

"How will the citizens provide Absolute security to the gate?"

"The citizens love this kingdom as much as you do, they have placed, many things to prevent the gates from opening and if it ever opens the citizens will kill anyone who enters the capital themselves."

The defensive side had fully prepared themselves, but the attacking side was not as ready as they were enthusiastic about the attack.

Yuuka was discussing attack strategies with Rose, looking at a capital map.

"Sir, we can attack the back gate or left gate. Attacking the frontal gate is suicide; the front is too well designed for enemies running right at you-"

While in his words Vincent noticed that Yuuka was not listening to what he was saying. He was in a total daze.

"Sir? Sir?!"

It was the first time Vicent had seen Yuuka in such shape, he never had spaced out during the regular talk, let alone in a meeting about a crucial attack.

"Are you ok, Sir?"

"I am sorry, I was a bit troubled thinking about Jane and Levi. but I've heard your explanation, we should attack the back of the castle currently, there is a chance supplies might be still reaching them thought that since it is hard for too many soldier to move that far without being noticed."

"I see..."

Vincent was taken aback; Yuuka was lost in thoughts but was aware of his surroundings and thinking about strategies,

He was someone Vincent didn't understand properly.

"I believe so but if they just tighten their security was the back then we are losing, it is impossible to attack both Front and back gates simultaneously, we need to choose anyone and attack the left gate as an extension.

"I See... I am quite impressed by this, Ok. We will attack the left and back gates, and prepare the army to move across the castle."

Yuuka appreciated Vicnet's growing skill and gave him the order to organise the army instead of doing it himself.

Vincent got out of the camp and provided to join the armies to leave the base, collecting group leaders and giving them advice.

Upon the planning soldier someone looked with his binoculars.

"Looks like they going for the back gate."

Arthur sitting on the castle front pillars top, lying without his robe wearing a shirt and leather pants, used his spyglass to look at the situation well.

He was annoyed by Yuuka's decision to move around the base and decided to give him a helping hand, he took out his radio and a wire device which he used to send messages to the other radio.

HE looked at Asphdel's camp and saw Yuuka exit his camp and enter another one.

"SO, he is near the radio now."

Arthur had observed Yuuka's actions for a long while and had deduced where he kept the radio. He made sure nobody besides Yuuka heard him.

Yuuka moved inside Levi's camp, he took a good look at the injured man, he looked at the same person every day and felt profound guilt each time.

"Hellllo!"

"!!!"

The sudden noise at the radio surprised Yuuka and he brought out his gun due to his instinct,

"Well, it me here. Your Savoir. I am back with more words of guidance for you."
