Mission.

Edward, moved through the streets of the city, the world around him was burning ablaze and also constantly extinguishing the flame with the rain of the storm but the rain grew weaker every second and the flame grew stronger each second.

"Where do I go first? Which part of the city is safe?"

Edward was locked in a trap of a city, he did not have time to even look at the map ever since he had arrived in the city but he had the idea that the hospital was near the southwestern edge of the city, so he starred walking in a wasteland of a city.

All the noises and crackdown did not bother him at all, he was lost in the mirage of the dreams he had witnessed himself just a moment before, the sense of being an assassin a man in the shadows came crawling back at him.

It was not what Edward had been, he had been a war-hungry pirate who was drunk on authority and ego all this time, the battle in the market, the battle fought at the port, the killing of the assassin in broad daylight using guns.... only time he tried to avoid the blade was when he had been with Rage, he did not fight nor he had any urge to, it was because his daughter was there, she was his grace.

He made his way through the deserted streets, finding the paths he was unfamiliar with, trying to keep himself free of any encounters until he had a concrete goal in his head.

He hid himself making the minimum noise possible, hiding from a group of three men dressed in velvet coats they spoke in Italian, complaining about the rain making their clothes dirty and making it tough for them to detect the enemies.

He let three go without attacking them, scaled the streets in hints for an ally or a lead, and very soon, as he made his way for what he had remembered the city's central region. He moved among the small alleyways, made of pace between large buildings or three or more small buildings instead of the slightly larger streets where he was far more open, but his runaways were as short.

"?!", a small voice reached Edward's ears, the voice was small, but its creator would surely be someone more significant, the noise of the bullet was not something he couldn't figure out.

The noise was still more than 200 yards away according to Edward, for the rain to make it this faint coming to him. He needed to reach there at his earliest.

"There is only one way to do it then," Edward told himself as he looked up at the buildings on both ends of the alleyway, analyzing which was more easily ascendable.

After a quick look, he jumped on the building on his left, a shoe shop. He could tell it as it was, filled with windows to display its products some of which remained. He took the support of a table on a broken window to propel himself through the height of the first story and his upper body reached the second story.

He pushed himself up and took a second long break to realize his arm was hurting and began rushing all over again, He jumped across to the other building, grabbed the name board of the second building climbed it up and made his way, jumping across a series of windows.

While Edward climbed, he heard no voices from a place which looked like rented houses for living. Maybe they all were killed or maybe they are hiding.

Soon, Edward reached the top of the building not, more than 10-20 meters high, it granted him vision across all nearby streets, and he looked upon the streets trying to see if he could the shooter from there. He couldn't.

It was more far behind the next chain of houses and budlings. So, he planned to travel across the other side of the building but the gap was too wide to make a jump, he needed to close the distance. He looked at his upper surroundings, the flames of the burning houses granted him vision now. Within the smoke and burning rain he a building on his left, which had its neighbour on the other side close enough for the jump.

He shifted his eyes to the building and began moving, he moved ahead in a crouched manner it was never sure if another assassin was out hunting for him or anyone on the rooftops.

* Tap Tap Tap

Still, he made a lot of noise as he moved, not caring if anyone was under the street him or not, no one below in such rain and dark could harm him. Soon, enough he was in that very building he had seen a minute ago and the storm was moving away at a greater speed than him, going away slowly.

He made his way across to another building top, and to his surprise, the right section of the worst in his overall observation but it was the opposite for this region, he was standing on the only building which had which was any proper roof left but he had to keep moving towards the noise point any trace could be wiped before he reached in the worst case.

But luck wasn't on his side, he was moving on burned remains of houses and buildings now, slowly moving down an alleyway on the right where the condition looked better but there was no light and with this much time lost it was not difficult that the shooter had been far from Edward.

"blinking light?!" a smaller twinkling glimmer as a bunch of fireflies in the pond came into Edward's eyes, the attacker had not changed his or their location, something could be found. Edward made haste as the roofing of the building got better he gained speed but not so fast that he alerted the enemy.

"What the hell are you talking about?! You Quacksalver?! You want to save those bloody dogs on the leashes?!" Thomas's noise was angry and loud enough that it could be half as strong as the noise of the Bullet according to Edward.

"What the hell is happening here?" he whispered to himself, as he looked upon the conversation that was going on, who was he calling a quacksalver?

Edward moved close enough that he could see the conversation going on, He saw Isabella argue against Thomas. He had no idea when the two met, and why were all of the people gathered there but he tried to make sense from what he heard.

Isabella makes a very bad argument about survival and her getting brutally countered, while Thomas closes the argument, Edward sees how Thomas lets emotion overtake logic in that moment.

Then Thomas continued the argument and declared that they would choose not to save the thieves because they lost their gamble?! if that made any sense and then decided to intercept the warehouse and try to go the gate.

Edward deciphered nearly what was going on?, Isabella must have told Thomas about how she was his doctor or something and got Thomas's trust but their interests do not align, yet Thomas figured out Isabella's mind and is now using her for his interests. Isabella was currently under the command of someone named Jonas.

Edward continued to observe the scene as the group decided to divide into groups but Edward kept his eyes fixed on Isabella, he saw as the other looked at her, but he wanted to observe her reaction. She did not give anything on the surface but Edward was sure she was angry as anyone would be on the inside, but how much? was the question.

But soon their eyes met, Isabella looked up at the sky but her eyes met Edward instead, Edward anticipated that she was going to see him but he did not move and to Isabella's credit she didn't even flinch.

In a moment their eyes melted into each other and Edward noticed how her eyes were also blue like his, he moved his face a bit more so she could see his face and Isabella smiled too and the message was delivered without words or codes just a smile.

Edward knew what his mission was, he needed to find, free and rally the thieves on his side while everybody else did their missions.
