It was just another day for the Vikings, and today they had a big wrestling match. All of the warriors who were going to compete were getting ready, and there were twenty of them, including Ina and Carl. Martin wasn't competing because he had dropped out of the competition because Ina was involved; he didn't want to fight his girlfriend. 

It was time to begin the fight, so King Erik of the Vikings took his seat alongside his son Martin, who was seated on his right hand, and his brother Janssen, who was seated on his left. The other villagers were standing all around the court, and they cheered the fighters as they walked into the court to show themselves. The twenty contestants walked to the court, raised their hands to wave at the crowd, met the king, bowed to Erik, and then walked out. After Ina, who was the only female fighter competing, the crowd yelled as they saw her and cheered her on. Martin didn't seem too pleased to see her in this context, so he just clapped for her as she met the king, and Erik blessed her before she walked out. Carl was the last person to enter the room; after making his way straight to the king, he received a blessing from Erik before leaving the room. 

It was time to pick an opponent; they had an official who had a bowl filled with bricks with the numbers one to twenty written on them; the fighters already knew their numbers; for the fighters to know who they would be fighting, the official would raise two bricks; the two numbers that were raised would be the opponent. Ina came in fifteenth among the contenders, while Carl is now in twentieth place. Martin is praying that Ina avoids Carl as her first opponent in the hopes that she will get an easy draw, but none of the contestants is an easy one. The officials begin to raise the brick and take records of their opponents as they do so. The referee's name is Lars, and he is the son of Erik's brother Janssen. When Lars raised the first brick, it read "contestants five," and when he raised the second brick, it read "contestants nine." They recorded the match as contestants five versus contestants nine for the first fight. Lars then continued with the rest of the matches.

That was the conclusive draw, and all of the competitors had already finished their rounds; it was time for the referee to declare the rules of the fight. 

"This is a fight for one winner; you will have to fight to death; you can choose any weapon of your choice at the entrance; the winner will progress to the next stage; and the final winner will be awarded the title of new war leader to replace the dead war leader; fight to death," Lars announced. "This is a fight for one winner; you will have to fight to death; choose any weapon of your choice at the entrance." 

The audience expressed its approval by cheering, clapping, and even blowing whistles. It is time for the first fight, the contestants five and nine walked towards the court, they took the weapon of their choice before entering, the contestant five is a huge black guy who has a huge beard, the contestant nine follows him picking his own weapon, they faced each other at the court while the officiating stood in the center, he made a sign for the two to walk close, he asked them if they are ready, they nodded their heads, and they walked in.

After ten minutes of a brutal fight, contestant five threw his sword at contestant nine. As contestant nine was about to dodge the sword, not knowing that contestant five followed it up, as he dodged it, contestant five stabbed him in the back. The momentum of the fight started to increase, and it became difficult. After a challenging first round of the fight, Martin realized that things were not going to get easier for Ina. As a result, he got up from the seat next to his father to go meet Ina while she waited for her turn. 

Ina said inquisitively, "What are you doing here, Martin?" 

"I'm scared; you need to be quiet right now. I just can't take the thought of losing you." 

According to Martin, arguing with Ina 

Regarding what Martin had stated, Ina feels hesitant since she does not want to retreat from her position. 

"I don't think I can do that; I will fight for the war leader; don't worry about me; I will be fine; you're lucky you didn't join the fight; surely I would defeat you; or maybe you were afraid of me beating you up; that's the reason you backed out," Ina said. "I will fight for the war leader." 

Martin was standing there, but he couldn't do anything to stop Ina because she had already made up her mind. He can only hope that she doesn't get too hurt. The second fight is about to begin, and Ina has been called out. When she was called out, she stood up and left Martin there as she walked to the court. Ina is an exceptionally powerful young lady, both physically and in terms of her combat skills, excelling to a high degree in the archery and sword arts. 

She enters the court carrying a sword, and her opponent follows her in carrying two sets of axes. Martin follows her into the audience to keep a close eye on his girlfriend as she competes. The fight has begun, and Ina's opponent is not going to be an easy one; he is tough; the guy literally dodged all of Ina's attacks; he tried hitting Ina with his axe; Ina was very quick; she then had to cut her opponent on the ankle; the opponent fell to the ground and is unable to walk properly with the wounded leg; this gives Ina an advantage in the fight; Ina is now watching her steps and is now focused on putting an end to the fight. Now that her opponent is on the defensive, she cuts her opponent's second ankle. By this point, her opponent can hardly stand up, so she approaches him, kicks out his weapon, and points her sword toward her opponent's neck. Her opponent is now in a defensive position.
