The only question Edward could ask was, "Why," but Daisy didn't answer him fully and instead began packing her things for the following lesson.
Daisy didn't seem to mind Edward's lack of attention because he seemed to grasp her motivation. Additionally, he let his belongings pack. When he walked into the new classroom, he noticed that Daisy was not situated in her customary window seat, but rather, she was seated next to the whiteboard with the other students, clearly listening in rather than participating. Which Edward weirdly found comfortable that atleast she is engaging with others too, but what annoyed him was Daisy not sitting next to him during the entire lesson.
Perhaps avoiding him
He realised Daisy might have been hurt by his words and might have even been made,
"Insecure"
Yes, Edward had a thorough understanding of the girl's fears. Anyone who looks into his thoughts can see the guilt he was experiencing. He was the only person in the class who was aware of Daisy's fear, and Daisy had confided in him to protect her secret, but his sleazy actions ruined everything. Daisy is now enraged and dissatisfied with him because all he intended to do was impress and amuse her.
He most likely believed she would be the focus of attention as a result of this effort, that he would start making fun of her, and that they would no longer get along because she believed he was just like everyone else—all of which were untrue. Man, he loved the girl too much—but only if she knew.
Daisy was informed that the projects were made voluntarily, but what she didn't know was that Edward doing it intentionally to ensure that they stick with each other for two weeks. Edward can't help but think of ways to make up to her, by using the project as a reason, which was obviously a one for him to get to know her better.
While,
Daisy, on the other hand, appeared to be feeling better because nothing was bothering her right now, including Edward, Marcel, her nervousness, or anything else, which caused her to sigh in satisfaction.
As a result of the mess he has made, Edward is having an internal crisis. Another person, in addition to Edward, was going through a crisis as they attempted to atone to Daisy for their actions.
Daisy ate lunch by herself in the cafeteria because she was annoyed by Marcel's bullying, disappointed by Edward's behaviour, and confused by her teacher's project and its subject. When the chair next to her shifted while she was eating quietly, she looked at her side angrily and remarked,
"You? "
"I came here because the other chairs were taken, not to bother you, but now I'm going." Marcel hastily murmured.
Daisy stood up and reached for her tray of food, but Marcel was quick enough to stop her by pulling herself down by her forearm. "No, I'm going, you sit here," she said. Daisy was going to say anything as she glared angrily at Marcel, but Marcel took the initiative by saying, "Sorry," before getting up and continuing.
The identical hazel orbs were boring in Daisy's head from the class window above them, but Daisy, who was so engrossed in Marcel's apology, didn't notice and wasn't very amused by the entire encounter; something was definitely aroused in them.
