Huh?

I suddenly awake in my bed. I sit up and think "what happened?" As I look down my eyes widen to see the black dress and my arms wrapped. I try to think of what happened last, I remember was talking with the man at the table about my power. Did I fall asleep? How did I get home?

My thoughts are dismissed when a pain shot up my leg. I gasp and slowly get out of my bed. I walk to the table to see my food container was missing, well the one that held the human food. I sigh as I sit on the bench beside the table, and open the container, I instantly started to eat, As I eat them in one bite I started to slow down. I close the container as I think "finally, I was actually kinda hungry." As my eyes slightly shut, I lay my head on the container. It was mostly quiet which felt nice. I could feel my power healing the small wounds around my body.

When Knock! Knock!

My eyes widen as I sit up and gasp, looking to the door and standing

Knock! Knock!

I sigh and walk to the door as I ask "who is it?"

Knock! Knock!

I place my hand on the door, and unlock it when the door was instantly pulled open.

My eyes widen to see Anazar, he looked furious and darts in. I gasp as I step back. Anazar looked in the restroom and I ask "what are you doing?" He walks out and he replies "just checking on you." As Anazar walks towards me I step back, he stops before me and asks "what happened to you? Where were you?" I say "it's stupid actually." Anazar says "really? I don't think so." I explain "I fell down a hill." He asks "are you okay?" I reply "I'm fine." Anazar reached out and softly grabs my hand as he says "Elliane, I've really m- missed you." I respond "oh," as I look down. He smiles and says "Elliane, you know I love you I want you." My eyes widen as I demand "get out." Anazar's eyes widen and he refused "no." I respond "fine, have fun here." As I step towards the door Anazar suddenly grabs my arm. Instantly pain filled my arm and I gasp as I say "let me go." He says "no, we can talk this out Elliane." I shout "that hurts!" Anazar suddenly let go and I look to him as I reach for the door. Anazar sighs as he clenched his fist and says "let me change you're bandages." I reply "no, it's fine I was gonna go see Nile." His eyes slightly close and he says "it's like you aren't giving me a second chance Elliane, come on people make mistakes." I say "I thought it was you're sister?" Anazar's eyes widen as his face filled with anger. He says "you mean to tell me, after all this time, nothing,-" Anazar pauses as he clenches his fists. He lets out a breath as he continues "we have been best friends for your whole life." I say "I know but I think you should go." Anazar says "you know I could have been just like everyone else seeing you as some freak but no, I was you're friend you're only friend!" My eyes widen as I fight back the tears trying to leave my eyes. I say "enough Anazar, when I get back I want you gone! Or I'll call Nile." I turn running out the door and down my rock path. As I look towards town I look to my door.

As I quickly dart to the forest, I pass trees looking around. When I find the spot I found Mr. Mystery man, I slowly step over the log and look down the hill. There at the bottom of the hill I can see my basket laying in the dirt. I sigh and softly step forward. I slowly and very carefully I walk down the hill, and step before my basket. I kneel picking it up as I dust dirt off it, As I stand there was a Snap!

My eyes widen and I turn to see a brown wolf with green eyes. I gasp and I step back as the wolf growls.

When suddenly the wolf turns running into the forest. I sigh and say "thank goodness." As I turn back I look up to see Mr. Mystery man. The man was at the top of the hill and I say "oh hello it's Elliane." The man asks "you don't know how to stay out the forest or what?" I respond "I had to look for my basket." The man replies "well you got it now go." My eyes widen as I say "well if I wasn't in the forest I wouldn't have been able to save you." The man scoffs and I say "yeah yeah I know you don't want help from me." As I walk up the hill the man just looked around. I clenched my fist as I think "why is he so cold to me?" As I reach the top of the hill the man states "leave and don't come back." My eyes widen and I ask "how did I get home?" The man responds "you fell asleep in my dinning hall." I say "I didn't ask that." The man turns away as he repeats "I said leave, you have you're basket now go." I clenched my basket in my hand and sigh as I turn walking off I think "why does he hate me? ugh."

As I walk out the trees I glance to my cottage. I walk towards the town when Lay runs up to me as she says "hii." I smile as I say "hello." Lay asks "what happened to you?" My eyes widen and I respond "well I fell." Lay gasps as she says "you need the doctor." As Lay starts walking I do to as she says "you know I've been put in charge of the fruits." I asks "oh really?" Lay responds "yes but Liam does the veggies however I did them yesterday because he was mad at Mami." I ask "what?" Lay responds "oh yeah he yelled at Mami about you and me." As I think "why would he do that?" Lay says "uh hello?" My eyes widen as I say "sorry I think I really need to see the doctor." Lay suddenly screams and my eyes widen as I stop walking I ask "wait what's wrong?" When Liam walks out the marketplace as he shouts "Lay?" Lay states "Liam! she needs to get to the doctor!" As Liam looks to me I smile and Liam's eyes widen, he asks "what happened?" I reply "uh I fell." As I put my hand behind my head I shut my eyes and I give a laugh. When suddenly I'm picked up. My eyes widen as I look up to Liam. Liam states "go tell mother why I'll be late." Lay responds "okay!" Lay runs off and Liam starts walking. I state "I can walk." Liam replys "it's just faster like this." I look down as I say "thanks." Liam says "of course."

As Liam walks into the market place I say "right here is fine." Liam responds "Nile's shop would be better." I sigh and Liam asks "why do you think I would leave you there?" I reply "that doesn't matter just put me down." Liam says "no." My eyes widen as I look away. Liam clears his throat and says "uh new dress?" I think "huh?" I ask "why do you think it's new?" Liam says "I've never seen you wear it." I think "he pays attention to that?" I look to Liam to find he was already staring. My eyes widen as Liam stops walking he says "I apologize that's probably weird." Liam looks away and I respond "it's not weird." Liam looks to me, as Liam smiles he says "do you think,-" when Nile steps out his shop instantly his eyes widen. Liam's face shot red as he studders "uh she I was uh,-" I state "Nile it appears I've gotten worse than yesterday." Nile smiles and asks "can you put her on my table?" Liam nods as he steps into the shop. Liam places me on the table. I say "thanks." Liam smiles as he grabs my hand he says "anytime." Liam turns as Nile shut the curtain. Liam leaves and Nile asks "what happened?" I reply "I fell." As Nile grabs my right arm he asks "who wrapped this?"

I think "oh no what do I say?"

I look down as I reply "a person." Nile says "it's wrapped very nice." I think "I still don't get it. Why was he so cold? Yet kind?" Nile was unwrapping my arm as he says "this doesn't look so bad, I guess you're healing is kicking in?" I say "yes." Nile says "I'll just clean it then add a little bit of medicine." I say "alright thanks Nile." Nile grabs a rag as he says "of course." Nile cleans my right arm then puts medicine. Nile says "don't move it, I want to let it get air before I rewrap it." I reply "okay." As Nile starts unwrapping my left arm. Nile was cleaning my left arm as he says "Elliane." I reply "yes?" Nile asks "why don't you move closer into town." I say "uh I don't know." Nile was putting medicine as he says "I think if you were closer it would be better for a lot of reasons." I ask "you think so?" Nile replies "I do." I say "I don't know, the towns people don't like me that much." Nile says "you could live with me and work with me once they get to see just how kind you are I know they will like you." My eyes widen when something falls outside the curtain. Nile steps to the curtain as he peeks out and he turns back to me saying "nothing I guess." Nile steps infront of me as he asks "how far does it go up you're legs?" My eyes widen as I look down. I start pulling my black dress up. The wrap goes up my thighs, ending just a bit before my shorts. Nile sighs as he asks jokingly "where did you fall? Off a cliff?" I sigh as I say "not far just overly injured." Nile sighs as he starts unwrapping my legs. After Nile cleans my legs and applies the medicine he starts to wrap my arms starting with my right arm. As Nile then started wrapping my left arm as he states "I think you should stay at my place tonight." I say "well I wouldn't mind it if you don't." Nile starts wrapping my right leg as he says "we can have dinner and I can show you how to make some medicines." I say respond "oh, yes that sounds fun." Nile smiles as he starts wrapping my left leg. As I close my eyes I think "things will get better, I don't need Anazar or anyone else. I'll be just fine with Nile." As Nile finished he looks to me as he asks again "well what happened?" I say- when Nile interuped me by saying "I don't want to hear I fell." I respond "I actually did, just failed to mention it was down a hill." Nile sighs as he asks "what are you doing?" I say "I was,-" I stop midsentence as I realize I can't say exactly what I was doing. I sigh and say "I was being reckless it won't happen again." Nile says "well it better not." I smile as I push my dress back over my knees. Nile states "I have stuff for other patients so I am busy right now." I say "alright thank you. Uh how much do I owe you?" Nile asks "are you kidding me? Hurry up and go inside before I actually make you pay just for asking that." I reply "okay okay."

I hop off the table as I grab my basket. I step out the back of the shop and into a large room. There was a couch and kitchen. As I walk to the couch I plop back laying down. I even drop my basket on the floor. I softly kick off my flats as my left one stays hooked on my toes. I softly kick it swaying the flat on my toes. As I think "this is better right? Well of course it is." I sit up as my hair pours over my shoulders I look up. I smile as I think "everything will get better." I turn putting my feet on the floor.

As Nile pops his head in he said "someone is here to see you Elliane." I stand as I slip on my flats. I walk to the door as Nile was packing medicine I step through his small shop.

As I open the curtain to see Liam. Liam smiles and I say "oh hey." Liam says "hey how are you feeling?" I respond "I'm fine it's just cuts and bruises." Liam replies "ah good I mean not good but I mean I'm glad it's not worse." I smile as I say "me to." Liam slightly blushes as he says "I apologize I'm just embarrassed." I respond "you have no reason to. You were just coming to check on me right?" Liam replies "right." Liam steps back and I turn as he says "get better Elliane." I respond "of course." As I step into the shop when Liam says "Elliane?" My eyes widen and I turn to see Liam staring at me. I respond "yes?" Liam asks "I wanted to ask well I just wanted to uh." Liam looks down and I step out the shop as I ask "what is it?" Liam looks to me as he softly grabs my hand he says "I have to show you." My eyes widen and Liam pulls my arm. As I follow Liam he walks towards the front of the town. Liam let's my hand go as we get to the small stone bridge. Liam walks into the grass as he jumps down into the small stream. Liam turns looking to me as he smiles he puts his hand out. I smile and grab Liam's hand as I step down onto a rock. I step onto the rocks as water pushes around the small rocks and even pouring over some rocks. As I look to Liam, Liam suddenly turns as he states "I found this last time and I just knew you could bring some light here." As Liam steps onto the next rock I step onto the rock Liam was on. Now I can see it just under the bridge beside the water stream was dead flowers. My eyes widen and Liam adds "I have no idea why there dead when there next to water." I state "pallia- a flower that dies faster without the sun." Liam smiles as he looks to me he asks "how do you know that?" I respond "these flowers." I pause as I clench my fist I continue "they were made by my mother." Liam's eyes widen and I step onto the next rock as I reach up touching the stone bridge. My fingers touch the cold stone, gliding against it as I step on the next rock. As Liam steps onto the rock beside me and he asks "maybe we could move them?" I reply "unfortunately there roots go far too deep also very thin so we would just kill it." Liam says "I apologize I shouldn't have brought you here." I respond "why not the only way to help is me." As I step out of my flats I leave them on the rock and I step into the water. I place my hand just above one of the black dead flowers. Suddenly life starts to fill the dead flower and colors begin to pour out such as beautiful orange petals and dark green leaves. Liam gasp as he says "whoa! Elliane." I smile as I raised my hand over me just beneath the bridge. As the dark green vine starts to be filled with life. Liam looks up and he gasps. More orange petals pour out making beautiful flowers, the middle of the flowers turn a dark red, and light yellow mist radiates around it. I was looking to the flowers and I reach up, gently pulling on a flower. The stem brakes I softly tap the stem making the flower grow again. I look to the flower in my hand and I couldn't help but smile as I think "finally." I look to Liam to see him already staring. My eyes widen as I think "oh no he probably thinks I'm a freak." I look down when suddenly Liam jumps into the steam infront of me. I look up to see Liam's face was just inches from my face. As my face filled with slightly red I look to the flower. Liam smiles as he says "Elliane." I look to Liam as I respond "yes?" Liam opens his mouth as he slightly blushes. Liam sighs then asks "wouldn't the flowers just die tonight?" I smile and reply "yes actually but I have a plan."

I turn walking up the stream. As I step out from underneath the stone bridge the sun blinds me. I put my hand up and turn as I look to the grass beside the water. I kneel slightly as I push the the flower into the ground. Suddenly a dark green vine starts to grow out and towards underneath the bridge. The vines connect and I turn as I state "there, now as long as this one gets a full day it should keep the rest alive." As I look to Liam to see him holding both of our shoes and he walks towards me he replies "that's amazing." I smile as I look down, I can see more flowers growing out the vine in the sun. As I reach down I pull on one as it just instantly regrew. Liam asks "so you don't always have to put you're hand above it?" I respond "no just being next to it works to but I do that so my power focuses on a specific plant." As I put the flower to my dress I make it stay by making the grass weave through my dress. The flower sits on my chest like a pin and I start stepping up the rocks. Liam follows and as we step onto the stone bridge I stop in the middle. Liam stops as he looks to me. I say "thank you for showing me this." Liam smiles as he responds "of course." Liam puts my flats before me and I smile as I say "thanks." Liam replies "stop saying thank you," As Liam turns he leans against the stone railing. I step towards the railing but hop on and turn so my feet dangle. Liam asks "do you have plans tonight?" I look to the flower on my chest as I respond "yeah kinda." Liam sits on the railing putting his legs over. I look down to the water and I smile as I can see the glow from the flowers from underneath the bridge. I ask "do you have plans tonight?" Liam responds "uh no just dinner with my family I guess." I reply "that's awesome." I look to the sky and Liam says "I think it's cool that you still have you're dad, well I mean it's cool that he is a doctor." I respond "huh? Oh Nile, yeah he has always been there for me definitely the only one but he isn't my dad." Liam asks "what?" I reply "yeah Nile just kinda took me in." Liam asks "are you sure he wasn't with you're mom? Or maybe you really are his." I respond "no my mom died at birth and well if I'm being honest I think Nile was in love with my mom." Liam replies "whoa that's deep, wait so where is you're real dad?" I sigh as I say "I don't know I never got to ask my mother." Liam responds "oh my goodness I'm stupid I'm so sorry." I reply "no no it's fine." Liam sighs as he says "I'm really sorry I never talked to you as a kid." I quickly say "oh no it's fine." Liam snaps "let me finish."

My eyes widen and I say "okay."

Liam states "I'm really sorry I never talked to you as a kid because if I had, I would have seen just how cool you are." I look at Liam who was already staring at me. I respond "it's fine really, I mean I did have Anazar." Liam sighs and says "yeah Anazar." I add "he wasn't so bad as a kid." Liam replies "ehh I don't,-" when Liam falls foward straight into the water. My eyes widen and I turn to see Anazar smirking. I ask "what is you're problem?" Anazar laughs as he responds "just playing chill Elliane Liam thinks it's funny, right Liam?" I look down to Liam who was standing and of course was covered in water. I clenched my fist and Liam says "it's fine Elliane." Anazar sits beside me as he says "see, it's fine Elliane." Anazar turns putting his legs dangling. Anazar looks down to Liam as Liam wipes water off his shirt. Anazar states "don't overreact it's just water." I turn putting my feet back on the stone bridge as I stand. Anazar says "oh dear Elliane don't freak he is fine." I place my hand on Anazar's back as I slip on my flats before completely pushing him forward. Anazar falls off and into the water. As I plant my hands on the stone railing I leans forward as I say "oh no." Anazar sits up as he wipes water off he asks "really?" I state "oh don't overreact Anazar it's just water." Anazar looks up to me and I smirk just seeing him covered in water. Anazar reached his arm up as he states "give me you're hand my darling you should join me." My eyes widen as I lean back I sigh. I say "come on Liam I want to show you something." Liam says "uh it's fine I gotta go." As Liam steps on the rock I reply "oh okay." Anazar adds "boo gets a little wet and runs away I won't leave, what do you want to show me huh?" Anazar steps on the rock as he shakes his head. As Liam walks off I look down. Anazar walks to me as he asks "who needs him we always had fun just us to remember?" I respond "just leave me alone." Anazar replies "come on Elliane I just,-" I interrupt Anazar by saying "no Anazar if you want to make me happy then just leave me alone because that is what I want." I walk off into town leaving Anazar standing at the bridge.

Soon I was passing my cottage as I go to the forest but more to the left. As I pass trees I walk up hill.

As I pass a tree I hear "didn't I say to stay out the forest?" My eyes widen and I turn to see Mr. Mystery man. I clenched my fist as I ask "what do you own the forest?" As the man glares at me I couldn't help but smirk. As I think "this man he just makes me so furious, so cold to nice people ugh." As I look up the hill I say "I have business so don't follow." I turn walking up the hill. The man states "don't fall down the hill now elf." My eyes widen as my cheeks lightly burn I turn to see the man gone. I clenched my fist as I say "ugh so,-" I sigh and turn as I think "what's with this dude does he live in the forest?" I continue walking as I push my hair back.

As I walk up hill I pull the flower off my dress.I step onto the top of the hill and the big willow tree was now in view. Besides the tree was a plot which was surrounded by different flowers. Every step closer my heart sinks. With each step I can see the grass turning greener, even the very flowers turn brighter. As I kneel I say "I finally found it." As I look to the plot which only had a flower no name. As I put the flower into the ground suddenly a dark green vine poured out as orange flowers start to grow all around. I smile as I say "I finally did it." As I stand more orange flowers start to grow. I look down as I say "mom I wish I could have met you." As a orange flower grows infront of my feet. My eyes widen and I kneel down. I pull the flower off the steam as it regrew instantly. I stand as I look to the flower. I smile and pin the flower into my dress.

When someone clears their throat. I turn to see Nile. Nile gives a smile as he says "I knew you would be here." I say "I finally did it." Nile walks to me but he stops as his eyes widen. Nile softly says "pallia." As I look up to Nile's face I put my hand out. Nile walks to me as he grabs my hand he stops and he lets out a breath. I ask "Nile what was my mother to you?" Nile sighs as he responds "I was her good friend, I was always there for her, I was in love with her." I reply "I think she would have been happy with you Nile." Nile smiles and I lean my head on Nile's shoulder. Nile puts his head on mine as he squeezes my hand. Nile says "thank you." I respond "no thank you Nile." Nile says "of course now let's go eat dinner huh?" I respond "that sounds great."
