My first day

I step into Nile's house and step aside as Nile walks straight to the kitchen. I walk to the couch and Nile walks to me with two containers. I sit as Nile sits next to me, he places two containers on the table. I ask "alright can I ask one more thing?" Nile replies "alright." I ask "did- did my mother ever say anything about my father?" Nile responds "no I apologize." I look down as Nile puts a container infront of me. I look to Nile as he smiles. I smile and grab the container as I say "thank you." Nile responds "of course." As Nile grabs the other container I open the container to see black balls instead of the normal color. My eyes widen as I look to Nile. Nile says "let me know what you think it's a different type." I grab one as I push my thumb against it it felt hard. I softly bite into it to show the soft center. As I chew my eyes widen as I say "oh my goodness." Nile asks "well?" I look to Nile as I eat the rest in my hand. Nile smiles as he responds "I'll take that it's good." As I continue eating I nod. Nile adds "I'm glad so that is the closest I can get it to a meat flavor." I ask "this is so good, what kind of meat?" Nile responds "I'm glad and I think chicken but it could be goat because this language is hard to read." My eyes widen as I ask "what did you say?" I look to Nile and Nile looks down. I ask again "Nile what are you talking about?" Nile sighs as he puts his hand on his head he responds "look I'm just a doctor I don't know how to make stuff like that I had to learn Elliane." I close the container as I ask "how?" Nile sets his container down as he closed it. Nile walks to the kitchen and grabs a book. As Nile walks back I look at the book in his hand. The book looked old as it had looked like it went through something. Nile sits beside me as he states "I never showed you because I don't even know what any of this means." Nile hold out the book and I grab it. The book was black and the cover was empty. I open the book to see words written on the inside of the cover. As I run my fingers across it I suddenly see a flash of a man with blue-black hair and brown eyes. My eyes widen as I move my hand from it. Nile says "what?" I respond "nothing." I flip thru the pages to see it's all in a different language. I shut the book as I say "so this is how you figured out these things." Nile responds "yes I think it's good for." Nile stops and I look to Nile. Nile adds "I'm sorry I don't know fully but I think I could also be wrong." I reply "I see." Nile grabs his container as he says "maybe we could find out what language that is." I smile as I say "yeah we can." I put the book on my left side as I open the container and I start eating. Nile asks "how was it with Liam I hope it went well." I smile but it quickly fades as I respond "I don't know." Nile asks "what happened?" I reply "Anazar." Nile sighs and asks "how about if I talk to him?" I respond "you would probably end up hitting him." Nile states "I can try to hold back." I couldn't help but laugh as I say "it's fine." Nile was eating and I say "this is really good thank you for trying to make this for me to begin with." Nile responds "of course anything for my daughter." I smile as I continue eating. My eyes widen as for the first time I feel full, normally I can eat and not feel hungry anymore but never full. I close the container and set it on the table as I smile I say "that was so good." Nile replies "I'm glad." Nile yawns and says "well you can have my bed if you like." I reply "what no, you're legs won't fit on here." Nile laughs as he replies "alright you're right thanks." Nile closed his container as he walks to the kitchen. I look to the book as I softly set it onto the table infront of me. Nile says "good night Elliane." I respond "good night Nile." Nile walks out the room and I lay back as I sigh.

I shut my eyes as I think of today and soon I fall asleep.

As I turn in my sleep I suddenly hear Nile say "good morning Elliane." My eyes slowly open to see Nile in the kitchen eating. I sit up as I stretch I respond "good morning Nile." Nile smiles as he closed his container and sets it down.

Nile says "alright first day working with me, so normally I eat then I go out because normally some guard hurt themselves this morning." I ask "are you serious?" Nile smiles as he replies "very." I smile and Nile says "go ahead and eat them come out alright." I respond "okay." As Nile leaves out the door I stand and walk out the living room towards the doors, I step into the left one which was a small restroom.

After I do my business I step back out. As I walk to the kitchen I see my container with my food. I stop before my container and open it as I start to eat. I grab more then shut the container. As I eat I walk to the door. I step into the small shop, my eyes widen to see Nile wrapping up a guards arm. The guard had black-grey hair and blue eyes with his pointed ears poking out. I smile and the guard smiled as he asks "spears am I right?" I respond "oh yeah." I think "wait what?" As Nile finished wrapping he says "you need to keep this clean." The guard replies "of course." Nile turns as he adds "I'll be giving you some medicine." As the guard glances at me he asks "when did you have a daughter Nile?" Nile responds "she hasn't worked here since she was a baby so I'm sure she looks different." The guards eyes widen as he says "oh the flower baby." My eyes widen as I haven't heard that name in so long. Nile corrects the guard with "yes my flower baby." As Nile turns he hold out a small bag. The guard grabs it as he adds "she has gotten so big I remember when she was so tiny." Nile smiles as he looks to me. I give a smile and Nile says "alright that will be-" the guard interuped Nile as he held out his hand. Nile puts his hand out and I see a coins fall into Nile's hand. Nile turns facing me, putting the coins in his pocket as the guard left Nile says "I know I was originally gonna show you some medicines last night but we can do it now." I step next to Nile as I look to the table before him. Nile says "by mixing some things here and there I can make different medicines." Nile looks to me as he adds "everything has different properties so make sure you read the bottles." I nod as suddenly we hear crying. Nile's eyes widen as he turns walking out the small shop. Almost instantly Nile steps back in holding Lay in his arms. Lay had tears going down her face as she sniffs. Nile sets her on the table as he says "it's okay now Elliane is gonna take care of you." My eyes widen and Nile turns as he asks "you got her right?" I nod as Nile steps out the small shop even leaving the curtain open. As I grab a rag I kneel before Lay. I ask "what happened?' Lay sniffs as she responds "I was running when." Lay pulls her dress up just above her knees showing them bloody. I gasp as I say "oh no." I turn grabbing medicine as I start to clean Lay's knees. Lay shuts her eyes and I say "it's okay almost done." As I turn I grab gauze as I start wrapping Lay's knees. Lay smiles as she adds "now I'm like you." I smile as I finished wrapping Lay's knees I respond "that's not a good thing you need to take care of yourself." Lay replies "alright." I pat Lay's head as I stood. As I look out the shop my eyes widen to see some of the towns people in the market were looking straight at me. Lay jumps off the table as she says "thank you Elliane." Lay hugs my legs and I smile as I respond "of course." When Liam walks up as he say "come on Lay I'm sure Elliane is busy." I say "good morning Liam." As Liam glances to me my heart sinks. Liam coldly responds "good morning." Liam picks up Lay as he turns walking off. I clenched my fist as I sigh. I turn and I try my hardest to not cry I think "come on you know they always treat me like this." When Nile asks "well how was it?" I clenched my fist as I turn I respond "great." Nile smiles and he replies "awesome so as I was saying earlier. Some medicine has certain properties even by mixing two different ingredients you can make them have a different properties." I reply "I see." Nile adds "however I test my medicine we can't use you as a test subject." I ask "why not?" Nile responds "I'm making medicine for elf's not a half elf and something else do you understand?" My eyes widen and I respond "right." Nile adds "however you're more than welcome to try to make medicine and I will test it." I reply "thanks." When someone clears their throat. As Nile turns Lay's and Liam's mother was standing there, as she held her right hand. Nile smiles as he asks "what's the problem?" The woman responds "I was cutting vegetables when I cut my hand however it won't stop." Nile replies "I got you come on in." As Nile grabs a rag he steps out of in front of me. As the woman sees me her eyes widen. The woman says "oh nevermind that." As the woman turns Nile steps forward. When Liam stops her as he demands "go in." The woman looks down as she slowly turns. My eyes widen as I think "this woman." I clenched my fist as the woman steps in Nile says "please sit." The woman sits on the table as she doesn't even look at me. I turn looking to the wall as I grab a bottle off the table. As I read it, "Pink grass- grass filled with pink cloud water- properties are slight healing." My eyes widen as I think "whoa this is rare." As Nile suddenly says "Elliane." I quickly turn as Nile was already looking to me. Nile says "I need to to wrap up our good friends arm and hand." I nod as Nile walks out the shop. I turn as I set the bottle down and grab the gauze as I think "he never leaves this much." As I turn the woman was still looking everywhere else but at me. I start wrapping the woman's arm. As the gauze goes over the open wound the woman winced in pain. I say "I'm so sorry." The woman snaps "how about you don't do something stupid so you don't have to say sorry." I keep wrapping as the woman huffs she adds "I have no idea why you are even here." My eyes widen but I keep wrapping. As I tuck the end of the gauze under the gauze when the woman pulled her arm back as she snaps "I don't know why you took so long." My eyes widen as the woman huffs she stomped out. As I hear Nile ask "did everything go okay?" I sigh and I turn, thinking "why does everyone hate me?" Nile says "hey Elliane?" I turn to see Nile stepping in. Nile asks "can you do a run for me?" I ask "a run?" As Nile bags up medicine he says "I need you to take this to the house just before the entrance." I respond "um okay." Nile holds out the bag as he adds "it's for Miss Luna." I respond "alright," as I grab the bag. I step out the shop as I look around the marketplace. The marketplace was actually full. As I walk through the crowd I squeeze the bag in my hand. I step out the marketplace. I walk down the dirt path, humming slightly. I was looking at the ground when I hear a woman gasp. I look up to see a woman pulling her son away from me as she quickly walks around me. My eyes widen and I stop walking. I sigh and continue walking.

I clenched my fist as I stop infront of a small cottage. With the bag at my side I look down as I let out a breath.

I think "not everyone hates me."

I step forward towards the door. As I reach up I knock. After a second I knock again. As the door slowly opens to show a old woman with grey hair and dark blue eyes. My eyes widen as I ask "Miss Luna?" As Luna glares at me I smile and say "I have medicine,-" when Luna snatched the bag and slammed the door shut.

As I was left with my mouth open I clenched my fist. When someone clears their throat. I turn to see Liam. My eyes widen and Liam adds "she is always like that just so you know." I responds "oh." Liam starts walking away and I instantly say "Liam wait." Liam stops and I step towards him as I clenched my fist I add "I felt like I was actually making a friend when we were at the bridge. I'm sorry Anazar pushed you." Liam sighs as he responds "look Anazar is Anazar I know that and I don't blame you for it but." Liam paused and I ask "but what?" Liam turns as he marches up to me. My eyes widen and Liam states "I can't stand seeing you be with Anazar, you deserve better, I know he is you're best friend and I know shouldn't say anything I'm just a friend not you're boyfriend." Liam's eyes widen as he blushes he adds "not that I want to be you're boyfriend I mean I wouldn't mind it but that's not what I'm trying to say." I add "I'm not with Anazar." Liam's eyes widen as he responds "oh I thought." I smile as I continue with "no I'm not and will never be, Anazar is something but he is definitely a liar." Liam's face shot more red as he says "well that's embarrassing," he also softly grabs my hand. My eyes widen as I look into Liam's eyes. When someone clears their throat. I turn to see Anazar. Anazar asks "Elliane can we talk?" Before I could say a word Liam suddenly grabbed my waist and he pulls me into his chest as he responds "no." My eyes widen and Anazar says "excuse me?" Liam responds "you heard me."

When suddenly Liam picks me up as he turns running. I gasp as Liam runs behind house's and in-between house's. Finally Liam stops behind a house as he just sits abruptly. As Liam leaves me on his lap my face instantly blushes and I quickly get up. Liam sighs as he says "I thought that would be best." As I sit beside Liam I laugh and I ask "did you see his face?" Liam's eyes widen as he smiles he responds "yeah I did." I say "that was very funny." Liam replies "yeah it was." Liam suddenly pulls me closer. My eyes widen as Liam's arm stays around me. I look up to Liam to see him looking to me. Liam looks away as he says "ugh I have to go sell food." I respond "go go, I have to get back to Nile." Liam asks "so you are really going be working there at the shop?" I respond "I'm trying." Liam smiles as he says "nice." Liam stands as he holds out his hand he asks "friends?" My eyes widen and I smile as I grab Liam's hand. As Liam pulls me to my feet I say "friends!" Liam suddenly hugs me as he says "I'll talk to you later." My eyes widen as Liam walks off. I smile as I think "yes! I made a friend."

I walk back to the marketplace, I walk in from the back. As I step into the small shop I find Nile wrapping a little boys knee, the little boy sat on a woman's lap. My eyes widen to see the woman who pulled her son from me. As the woman sees me her eyes widen. Nile asks "perfect could you finish up his other knee Elliane?" I respond "uh sure." The woman asks "why can't you do it Nile?" Nile responds "I have stuff to do and it's just gauze Miss Siltin." Miss Siltin huffs and I grab gauze as Nile turns to the table before stepping out the shop. As I kneel before Miss Siltin I start wrapping the boys knee. When Miss Siltin smacks my hand as she says "don't touch him." I ask "how could I possibly wrap his knee then." Miss Siltin huffs again and I start to wrap the boys knee. I take the gauze over his knee and under. I pull the gauze back over when Miss Siltin smacks my hand. My eyes widen and I keep wrapping taking the gauze under the boys knee. As I bring it back over Miss Siltin smacks my hand again. I sigh as I finished tucking the end under the gauze. When Miss Siltin smacks my hand again. As I look to Miss Siltin she stood as she snaps "learn how to do it right." As Miss Siltin steps out Nile walks up to her. I clenched my fist as Nile steps in he asks "did something happen?" I respond "huh? What? nope." Nile's eyebrow raised and he sighs as he replies "I thought if they saw how well you are with kids they would I don't know be normal. I'm deeply sorry Elliane." As I look to Nile to see him looking straight down, Yet straight behind Nile I see Liam selling food. I smile as I say "it did work." Nile looks to me as he asks "it did?" I respond "yes today I made a friend." Nile smiles and I spin as I add "you were right, maybe once everyone sees just exactly who I am they won't act like that anymore." Nile says "you were always so bright about everything." I smile and reply "I always will." Nile pats my head when a guard walks slightly in as he held a woman in his arms. The guard says "Nile." Nile turns as he says "put her on my table please." As the guard sets a woman, with long sliver hair and green eyes, on the table. As Nile was grabbing gauze he asks "what happened?" The woman responds "I tripped in a whole in the dirt path I think my ankle is broken." Nile grabs a jar as he turns he says "let's see." Nile's eyes widen as he says "oh hello Naria." Naria smiles as she responds "hi Nile." Nile clears his throat and he says "Elliane why don't you go and eat lunch."

I nod as I step into the house. As I walk to the kitchen I think "Naria, Naria? Why does it sound familiar?"

I sigh as I open the container. As I start to eat my eyes widen as I shut the container.

I glance to the door as I quickly walk to it. As I softly push my ear against the door I don't hear anything.

When the door opens to show Naria. I step back as Naria glares at me. Naria steps in as she says "it's not nice to listen in on people." Naria walks to the couch and my eyes widen as I ask "who are you?" Naria smiles as she sit on the couch. Naria responds "someone important so why don't you go." Naria puts her feet on the table but her injured one on my book. As my eyes widen I gasp as I say "get you're foot off my book." Naria smiles as she responds "nah." I clenched my fist as I suddenly pull my book out from underneath Naria's foot. As Naria's foot hits the table her eyes widen as she stood. Naria yelled "you little shi,-" when the door opens as Nile steps in. Naria gasps as she says "oh Nile it was horrible this girl,-" when Nile says "I think you should go Naria." My eyes widen as Naria's eyes widen as she asks "are you kidding?" Nile responds "nope so bye." Naria huffs as she leaves quickly.

Nile shuts the door as he says "alright I wanted to ask if you could start making some medicines." I ask "are you sure?" Nile responds "as long as you follow my notes you will do perfect." I reply "alright." As Nile steps out into his shop I quickly put my book on the table before walking out after Nile. Nile points to a book on the table as he says "that has my notes but I think for today a simple healing medication is a good start." I respond "okay." As I grab the book I started flipping through pages. I find the notes I start to read, "Mix two fire mushrooms with Pink leaves." As I look up I find a jar with red mushrooms labeled as "fire mushrooms- naturally grown and picked- properties- helps fight bacteria if applied directly." I set the jar down as I looked to the other jars. As I find a jar with leaves I read the label "pink leaves- leaves filled with pink cloud water- properties are slight healing." I set the jar next to the other jar as I look to the notes. "First put leaves then fire mushrooms then crush." I grab a glass bowl which had a glass tear drop inside it with the bottom being flat. I take out the tear drop as I open the jar. As the leaves spill out into the bowl I stop some with the lid. I close the jar before setting it down. I grab the next jar and open it making two fire mushrooms fall out. I close the jar and set it down. Using the tear drop I crushed the ingredients. As I look to the notes I read, "once crushed add one drop of pink cloud water." I look up and I can see a clear glass vial which held clear water with a pink tint. I open it and put one drop in the bowl. As the mix glows I look to the notes "mix until glowing stops." I start mixing suddenly I hear Nile say "be careful." As I turn I see someone leaving my eyes widen as I think "did I block everything out?" When the mix stops glowing and I gasp. As Nile asks "what happened?" I respond "I think I did it." Nile smiles as he leans above the bowl he replies "yeah that looks right just let it set before it goes to testing." I smile as I ask "so is it always this busy?" Nile responds "yeah kinda." I ask "why does everyone get hurt so much?" Nile replies "just in the morning and during the day other than that it clears up." I respond "I see." When a man steps in as he says "Nile?" Nile turns and I look to the man to see he had brown-grey hair and sliver eyes. The man says "I'm here for my medicine." Nile responds "of course please sit." As the man sits Nile turns as he grabs the pink vial. Nile turns to the man and he asks "please look up." The man looks up as Nile steps forward and drops two drops in each of the mans eye. A woman steps up and she says "hi Nile." Nile smiles as he responds "one minute." As the man gets off the table he says "thanks Nile." The man pulls out a gold coin and Nile grabs it as he responds "Becareful." The man steps out and the woman steps in. Nile asks "what's the problem Sindy?" Sindy looks down as she responds "I think I'm pregnant." Nile replies "well let's see." Nile turns and he says "you can sit this one out if you like I have to draw blood." I nod as I step back into the house. As the door shuts behind me I couldn't help but smile I made a friend and medicine, things are looking better.
