Pretend that I am air

"Alright, mama needs to go make breakfast now." Leya said and patted the head of her two children.

Hearing this, Lucas snuggled closer and hugging her more tightly, he said, "few more minutes, mom."

Lucy from the other side did the same as well and said, "five more minutes, mom."

Leya smiled hearing this. She hugged the two back and said, "okay, just five more minutes. After that I'll go prepare breakfast."

"Mhm…" Lucas just hummed in agreement.

Lucy didn't respond and simply lay in Leya's embrace.

The two wanted to get spoiled today and Leya could make it out very well. She of course didn't mind it. She loved her children dearly and spoiled them whenever she could. But now it seems that she didn't even need to think of when to spoil them as they would come to her on their own accord.

A few minutes later, Leya patted their head and said, "you know… you both are nineteen years old now. Children of your age already leave their parents and go work to have a better future and life."

Lucas had his eyes closed and was smuggling close to Leya. He didn't open them and simply said, "people can do whatever they want, mom. They don't like to hug their mothers or show affection to them, it's their fault. They are missing out big time. As for me and that fatto, we love you and don't really feel shy or awkward to display our affection."

Lucy, who was in the same position as Lucas, added, "that dumbo is right, mom. We love you and don't feel shy to express our affection."

Leya chuckled hearing their responses. "But what I meant was, you two have grown up enough to go to work. But you're still at home."

Lucas opened his eyes and turned his head to look Leya in the eyes. He smiled and asked, "we have. But, do you want us to go?"

They were 19 years old already but never once had Leya asked them to go to a different city for work. It was obvious that she didn't want to be separated.

Leya smiled hearing Lucas's question and said, "of course not. You can stay with mama as long as you like."

Leya then hugged the two tighter and rubbing her face with theirs, she said happily, "because mama loves her babies veryyyyy much."

"Oof, mom, we'll suffocate…" Lucy protested while Lucas wasn't able to utter a single word.

Leya let go after a few seconds and kissed the two on their foreheads. She got up and said while tying her hair into a ponytail, "alright, mama needs to make breakfast now. It'll be ready in fifteen minutes."

The two nodded their heads and Leya left right after.

Lucas looked at Lucy and said, "aren't you becoming too bold now a days?"

Lucy took the book present on the table in front of her and got to reading it. While doing so, she replied in a calm tone, "I was always like this."

Lucas sighed. "I wonder what happened to my kawaii little sister. Where did the innocent little girl go?"

Lucy closed her book and knitting her brows, she looked at him and said, "I was never your little sister. I am the older one among us."

"Pfft… five minutes older doesn't count." Lucy replied.

Lucy then suddenly realized, "oh yes, speaking of being older, I see you aren't going to call me big sis, yeah? It seems you need to be bullied again."

Lucy crawled towards Lucas while saying so.

Lucas smirked and said, "I won't get bullied anymore."

Lucy who was going to crawl her way towards Lucas, stopped after hearing that. She got back to her previous position and said to him with a smile, "on another note, I won't do it now."

She wouldn't be able to bully him when he was well prepared. They would eventually end up fighting and it would turn into a cat and dog fight.

"Eh?" Lucas was surprised looking at how she backed off. 'What's going on inside her head?'

But then he shrugged his thoughts off and slumped towards Lucy's thick thighs.

Reaching close to her, he put his head on her thighs and hugged her stomach.

He closed his eyes and said, "don't mind me. Just pretend that I am air."

Lucy who was planning to tease him, stopped herself from doing so. His innocent and sleeping face seemed too cute for her to disturb him.

She simply caressed his hair and let him sleep on her thighs.

A few minutes later, Leya arrived holding a big tray in her hand with food present in covered bowls on it.

"Breakfast is ready, babies." She put it on the table and said with a smile.

Lucas got up from Lucy's embrace and said while yawning, "Thwaaanks mwom."

"At least yawn completely before speaking, dumbo." Lucy said to him.

Lucas was still yawning and said looking at her, "youh are shtewwpid."

Lucy let her tongue out and took the warm bowl in her hand. "So warm, so nice."

Lucas did the same thing and said, "indeed."

He opened the lid and saw there to be a thick soup in the bowl. He looked at the tray on the table and found bread to be present there.

He took the bread and dipped it into the thick soup, softening the bread as it absorbed the soup and flavoured itself.

Lucas ate the bread and just as he bit onto it, the soup gushed out from the bread and spread all over his palate, making him feel amazed.

Lucas closed his eyes and savoured the food. 'After so many years, who would've thought that I'll get to eat food cooked by my mom again. It's so amazing.'

Lucas's eyes were slightly moist as he recalled the past and compared it to now. The food he was having was the best he has ever had. Even though it was simply soup and bread, it was very comforting and tasty.

Leya and Lucy noticed Lucas closing his eyes and eating.

Leya, with concern visible on her face, said, "baby, be careful. The bowl is hot."

The bowl was big and contained hot soup. If it fell down on him, he would get burnt.

Lucas opened his eyes as he heard his mother warn him. He looked at her and said with a smile, "don't worry, mom. I am not clumpsy like fatto. I won't spill it."

Lucy glared at him from the side and thought to herself, 'he really needs to be taught a lesson.'
