"Honestly, Dave. Can you bear to see Lea, who is having a hard time fighting for her child's life, lose her rights as a mother in the future?" continued Clara again. She then broke away from Dave's embrace. "Honestly, I can not do that, even if I have to do it. I will live with regret and guilt for the rest of my life."

Dave was stunned. Clara was right. He also felt that it was unfair to Lea. Supposedly, anyone would feel the same way. It was as if everyone was conspiring to give Lea a punishment that wasn't worth the mistakes she made.

"There is something greater than our love, Dave. There are bigger things to do … more than uniting our family businesses," Clara said again. This time, she would convince Dave to let her go completely.  Failure was not an option.
