Chapter 5 - Route 1

As I went out of the door, I could see my mother and a few of our neighbors. They stood waiting for us. Gible had afterall become pretty famous in town since he runs around a lot, and me, well I´m me. I walked down the steps and my mom saw me, Gible and Pikachu coming towards her. As I came in front of her, I could see that she had some tears in the corners of her eyes.

"Whats wrong mom?" I asked with worry.

"Nothing is wrong. Its just that my baby is finally leaving the nest to see the world. It seemed like yesterday when I first held you, and now look at you. You have your own pokemon and is about to set off on your own in this world." She wiped the few stray tears that fell down her cheeks. I grabbed my handkerchief and wiped her face before she could and smiled softly at her.

"Its going to be fine mom. Afterall, I have Feebas, Gible and Pikachu here with me." I beamed at her. My mom hearing this looked at Pikachu and smiled. She gently rubbed Pikachus head and whispered something in his ear that I couldnt hear. She then turned back to me.

"Just like your father. He also had a Pikachu with him on his travels." Hearing this I was shocked. Not only knowing that he too had a Pikachu, but I realised who my father was. It wasnt hard to figure out. I know of only one person who travelled like Ash with a Pikachu... My father was none other than Red.... THE Red. Having figured this out I now wanted to know..... Where is he?

I started saying goodbye to my mom and the people that came to see me off and waved over my shoulder as I started walking away with my family.

I kept walking further into the forest until we reached a clearing with a small river.

"Okay Pikachu, I think Its time to meet the final member of our little group." I said as I pulled out a pokeball and called out for Feebas. The light shone down on the river and Feebas appeared.

"Feebas, meet Pikachu, our newest addition. And Pikachu, this is Feebas. She is like my sibling even though Im a human and she a pokemon." The two greeted eachother while I began putting up a tent. Time flies and we had walked for almost five hours already, making it late afternoon.

"Okay guys, listen up." I said, getting their attention. "Now, I know that we just set out, but we are not nearly strong enough to face the battles ahead. I plan on competing in the gym battles and later in the league battles. This will take a lot of hard work and dedication. So if you want to get stronger, lets get stronger together." I said with flames in my eyes. I could see that Gible and Feebas was with me all the way until I mentioned strength when Pikachu finally joined in.

"Now guys. We have almost a year to train and get stronger, so lets do our best. We will stay here for a few days to train since we cant always find rivers for Feebas to stay in, but that will be fine, we will make it. Now as for your training, it will be strength, endurance, moves and more so be prepared." As I said that we started the training.

I put weights on Feebas to help with her strength and endurance. I started to teach Gible the move Dragon claw. This move has good attack but no secondary effect. But this would be a good start. I then looked at Pikachu asking if he was ready to join the others. He was more than ready. I started teaching him the move Iron tail which inflicts damage and has a 30% chance of lowering the target's Defense stat by one stage. This move was a must have when it comes to Pikachu.

While they were training, I started making our food and notices a symbol on the lower left of my vision. I decided to take a look while the others slept and just continued with the food. This pokefood was recipe that I came up with, with the help of Oak. It helps the pokemon grow bigger, stronger and has a slight healing effect on them, making training more effective.

The pokemon trained for a couple of hours, ate then we all went to sleep.

As I laid there thinking, I reminded myself of the system icon and mentally pressed it.

"Notice: Congratulations host for achieving the title `TRAINER´. This title will make training your pokemon ten percent more effective until level 30. Ontop of title the host has also recieved a package in inventory along with a letter." I looked at the message and quickly equipped my new title before opening the inventory. There were a few pokeballs, berries, clothes and other essentials that I put in, but there was also the letter and package that I recieved. I opened the letter and read it.

"Dear Michelle, or should I call you Ash now? No matter. This is the gift I promised you when you were reborn. It contains a few goodies you might need in the future I wish you luck on your travels and good luck with the challenges ahead. Remember, your still Ash..... that probably speaks for itself. Love Mic - AKA God." I put the letter back in the inventory and looked at the `Goodies´ she sent me.

"Notice: Host has recieved 20x pokeballs, 10x Greatballs, 5x Ultraballs, 1x Masterball, 15x potion, 10x super potion, 1x Metal Coat, 1x Electirizer, 1x Magmarizer, and 1x system update. Notice: system has detected an update. Do you wish to proceed? Y/N?" "HOLY...." I almost shouted at the absurd amount of items. I mean look at it, a freaking Masterball. Its only like the most powerful pokeball in the series. But then I remembered the system update, so I asked in my head.

"System. What does this update include?"

"Notice: This update includes: Analyser: Will give you the ability to see pokemons levels stats and moves. This also gives the system the ability to analyze your pokemon and create the best training regimen and food planning to have the best possible outcome. The next ability is Hacker: This ability allowas system to hack anywhere so long as the system is connected to the internet. And the last ability, Research: This ability allows host to request a project to be created. An example would be if host wanted to recreate the smartphone from the hosts previous world. Does host wish to continue update? Y/N?"

I took no time thinking it over, "Yes, do the update."

"Notice: Confirmed action. Update wil take an approximate of 10 hours to complete. The system will turn off during this time."

This was perfect. I was now well on my way learning and training my team the most optimal way.

The next morning I woke up to the faint sound of pokemon coming closer. I quickly got up, which made my pokemon react too. "Quickly, we might be under attack." I told them as they bolted out of our tent and was in a ready stance if something happened. We didnt have to wait long as we clearly could see a flock of Spearows and a couple of Fearows as well. "Crap, they must think that we entered their territory and threatened them. They are very aggressive pokemon after all." I said out loud.

We all got into position as we looked at, atleast fifty pokemon ranging from level six to the Fearow at level 23. I didnt have time to look at my pokemons status as they were coming closer.

As they got within range I called out "Pikachu, use your stronget electric attack on them. Try to take as many as you can." I got a nod as I looked at my other two pokemon, "Feebas, shoot an area of effect water pulse at full power." Feebas started to ready the attack to coincide with Pikachu so that they could get in more damage. "Gible, once they finish their attacks I want you to use twister to blow them away." As I ordered my pokemonto use their moves, we could faintly see a girl on a bike headed straight for us. `*sigh* Its Misty. Lets help her out. She did turn out to be a great friend to have in the future´. I thought to myself. "Guys, fire as soon as that girl is out of danger." As I said that Misty came close enough to us that I grabbed her from her bike and pulled her down with me. "NOW!" I shouted, and they fired their attacks.

Feebas hit over half of the pokemon with her water pulse while pikachu managed to fire off a strong thundershock that made all those hit with thge combo faint. As a finisher, Gible fired his twister and sent them all away. Those that remained lost their will to fight and fled. At this I sighed in relief.

---------------------------------------------Misty POV-------------------------------------------------

I was just out here on Route 1 to fish when i got a bite. Therewas quite a bit of resistance, but i managed to pull it out. Though this ended up being a bad thing as the Magikarp I managed to pull out managed to land on the head of a Spearow sitting nearby. Knowing this was bad, I quickly ran to my bike and took off, not looking back.

I have no idea how long or how fast i went, but they kept following right behind me. But as I sped up, I could see a person in the distance preparing an attack on the flock, so I quickly went towards them. I had no time to notice what this person even looked like as I was pulled down to the ground being covered by this person.

I could hear them yell `NOW´ as if they had planned an attack before seeing me, though to be honest, they probably did. I heard sounds from multiple pokemon. If i had to guess there were maybe three or four. As soon as the attack ended and I could hear that the pokemon left I could see that the person stood up and reached a hand out to me. I took and stood up to dust myself off. As I finished that, I looked back at the person crouching down and petting three pokemon, thanking them for the help.

As this person stood up and turned around, I could see that there was something familiar with this girl, as if I had seen her before. Then I heard her voice.

"Long time no see Misty."
