Meeting and training

Misty looked at the girl as if seeing if she could remember her.

"Do I... know you?" She asked.

I sighed. "You dont seem to remember me. Im Ash. We went to professor Oaks summer camp together."

"Wait... Ash!?" She exclaimed.

"Thats my name." I said tiredly.

"Wow its just that I havent seen you in years. You look, different."

"Thats what happens when you grow up." I teased her a bit causing her to blush in embarrasment.

"So what happened to have all those pokemon that was chasing you?" I asked her.

She explained her situation. How she ran from her home to prove her sisters wrong about her being able to become a water pokemon master. How she entered route 1 and started to fish only for her catch to land in one of their nests making them angry.

"And thats how I ended up here. But how about you? What are you doing out here?" She asked.

"Well for startes, let me introduce you to the group."

"Group?"As she asked that, three pokemon appeared, giving her a little scare.

"Yes. This is Feebas, Gible and Pikachu. They are the ones that saved you back there." I told her.

"You three, this is Misty. Shes an old friend from years ago so play nice okay?" I said to them. They all cried out in response.

"Wow, I have never seen these two before. I knew about Pikachus, but the other two are new to me." She said in awe.

"Well, Gible is a pokemon native to the Sinnoh region and Feebas to Hoenn." I said.

"Wow. This is the first time meeting pokemon native to other regions." She said.

"So where are you guys headed?" She asked.

"Well for now, I just planned on training for a while before going to Viridian city and registering for the league. This will also help them grow strong enough to be ready for the challenges to come."

"I see." She replied.

"What about you? What are your plans?" I asked her.

"Well, I dont really have any plans as of yet. I still want to become a water type master, but I dont know where to start." She said in a defeated tone.

"Why dont you stick with us for a while until we reach Viridian. We can call the professor there. Maybe he has a suggestion, not that I dont have one." I said.

"If you dont mind. I could use some company, but whats your suggestion?" She asked.

"Well, masters are usually the strongest in their field, so why dont you train your pokemon and join the indigo league too? There you can showcase your pokemon to thousands of people." I told her making her go silent for a bit.

"That might not be a bad idea actually. Thanks for the idea, I think I will do just that." She said as she got a big smile on her face. I smiled back at her while the pokemon cheered in their own way.

After talking for a while, we walked back to our camp and sat down. We hadnt had breakfast yet after all. Seeing as it was time for food I spoke up.

"Hey Misty. Why dont you let out your pokemon, its time to eat after all." Hearing this she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

"Yeah, almost forgot the time." She said before letting her pokemon out.

Out from the pokeballs came Goldeen, Staryu and Starmie. Goldeen is a goldfish pokemon with a horn, white body and orange patch along its back. Staryu is a star shaped pokemon with a brownish body and have a golden middle with a red gem in the middle. Starmie is the evolved form of Staryu. It still has the star shape, but now look like two stryus have been glued together. It is blue in colour and still has the golden section with the gem.

As they came out of their balls, Misty introduced them and we introduced ourselves to her pokemon. I gave them each a bowl with food and watched as they started to eat. I smiled at the sight and headed back to the camp, ready to get some food in me as well.

I sat down as I got back and started to cook after asking if Misty wanted some too. We spoke and ate along our pokemon and bonded pretty quickly. After eating Misty and I cleaned up and collected all the bowls before washing them and putting them back in our bags.

After all this I called my pokemon for a little meeting.

"Okay you three. The plan is for us to stay here and train for a couple of days. I wanted to help you all learn some new moves before we reach Pewter city where we will have our first gym battle. Are you guys with me?" I asked them, causing them to cheer with me.

"Okay. Lets start with Pikachu." Pikachu looked attentively at me while waiting for instructions.

"I want you to learn the moves quick attack and Iron tail. This will be a big boost in power for you. Along with this move, I want you to start with training your speed and maneuverability. With these three together, there is a much bigger chance to land succesful and critical hits on the opponent. I will help you with Iron tail when you have trained your speed that I hope you will use to learn quick attack with. Are you with me so far?" I told Pikachu before asking for confirmation.

"Pika pika." Pikachu called out while looking determined.

"Good. Next is Gible." Gible perked up hearing his name.

"Your job is to learn the move Dig. This move is used to dig underground and attack the opponent from underground and to sometimes give them a little surprise attack. But to use this move, you will need a little bit more strength, so I want you to start with that before moving on to the attack. Got it?" I explained before once again asking for confirmation, which I got almost immediatly after.

"And for you Feebas. I want you to train your egg move: Dragon breath. With that move trained to have better control and strength, you would become an absolute unit to deal with on the battlefield. Are you with me?" I asked once again, this time having all three cry out in excitement.

"Then you know where to start. Lets get moving!" I yelled out, now also in the spirit of things.

Meanwhile Misty just looked at us with a bit of shock at how I commanded their training.

"Thats impressive." She said, making me scratch the back of my head in embarressemant. She took a thinking pose for a bit before getting an idea.

"Hey guys! We cant let them get ahead of us now, can we?" She called out with a bit of a grin on her face. Her pokemon also called out before getting their commands and started training.

This continued until a couple hours later where they got food, before we started again for a couple more hours. They only stopped when the sun started to set. While they were exhausted, they still had the feeling of accomplishment. They had all trained hard enough that they would learn the moves in no time.

I decided to take a look at the pokemons status.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feebas, the Fish Pokémon. A water type. Although extremely ragged, it is a tough Pokémon that can live in almost any kind of water. Its evolved form is Milotic.

Swift swim ability. Boosts the pokemons speed in rain. Hidden ability: Adaptability. Powers up moves of the same type.

Pretty good stats if you ask me, especially considering we just left Pallet town. This just means that we have a good start, but we still have to work hard to reach our goal.

And reach it we will....
