Chapter 19: When I Was 9 Years Old- I

"You're really a troublemaker, aren't you?" Gina was held forcefully by two bodyguards before this woman. She sat majestically on her throne, tapping her slender fingers on the armrest. The only source of light was a dim lightbulb.

The woman wore a short blue pencil dress and black heels. Her black and gray hair was packed up in a bun. "You dare defy my orders. What are you? Where I stand, you are nothing!" the woman exclaimed.

Regina chuckled coldly then asked, "Antonia,... are you actually scared of me?" She looked straight into the woman's brown eyes. Each footstep became louder as Antonia walked towards Regina. Thwack! A tight slap echoed in the shady room. "Just because you're my successor doesn't mean you can defy me!"

Regina laughed, a cold laugh that made all present shiver. "Old woman,... I'm the one they all obey. Power has been seized from you. All that's left for you to do is die." Thwack! "Shut up! You're 9 years old! What do you know?!!" "Antonia Gomez, I would never pay for your sins! You can rot in hell for all I care."

"This kid's got some nerve. Has she been served food?" Antonia asked. "No madam. It's only dawn." one of the bodyguards answered. "Good." Antonia picked up a small polytene bag filled with pills. "Open your mouth." Antonia ordered.

Regina didn't listen. "You really like testing my patience don't you?" Grabbing her face harshly, Antonia squeezed her mouth. "I told you to open your mouth!" She said through gritted teeth. "If you won't obey me, I might as well kill you."

"I've been your minion for 9 years. I really looked up to you. But after what you did,... you don't deserve loyalty." Regina managed to say. "This should shut you up once and for all." Antonia forced a few pills into Regina's mouth. Once the pills touched her tongue, they dissolved instantly.

Antonia's grip on her face tighten. "Swallow it." she ordered coldly. "No." Regina whispered. She couldn't breathe anymore. Her grandmother's grip was slowly moving to her neck. Harshly, Antonia threw the girl on the floor. "Lock her up." she ordered strutting back to her throne.

The bodyguards pulled Regina into a small dark room. It looked exactly like a prison cell. "Don't give her anything to eat,... till I say so." Antonia said. She picked up her purse then left the dark basement.

In the main house

"Hello,... how do you feel now?" Abby asked. Treasure was found in front of their house bleeding from underneath. Her whole body was as white as a sheet and her face was dried with tears. She looked like she had gone through a traumatic experience as she was unable to utter a meaningful sentence.

"Quickly save her! That monster will kill her! Save her!" Treasure shouted. She instantly became restless, her body was shaking uncontrollably, her breathing quickly became heavy.

"Mummy!" Abby yelled as she tried to calm Treasure down. "Abigail! What did you do?" Vivian asked walking to the side of Treasure's bed. "Nothing, I didn't do anything." "Save her! She's gonna get killed!" Treasure exclaimed.

"Mummy where's Gina?" Abby asked. "I don't know. I saw her heading out of the house in the afternoon. Haven't seen her since." Vivian said. "I'm having a bad feeling." Abby mumbled.

"Little girl, breathe. Calm down, everything will be alright, you'll be fine. Breathe." Vivian coaxed stroking the girl's hair. Finally, Treasure calmed down. "Good girl. What's your name?" Vivian asked.

"Treasure Anderson." "What happened to you? Why were you outside our house? Where are your parents?" Treasure's face went pale hearing the word 'parents'. She said, "They were killed. T-they nearly killed my sister and I b-but a girl came. She saved us. Tia! Where's my sister?!"

She looked completely traumatized. "Calm down. I'll send people to look for your sister. Where did you come from?" "The brothel two blocks away." Treasure answered. "What's the name of the girl who saved you? Where is she?"

"I don't know. The last time I looked at her,... t-they w-were hitting her with a whip." Treasure stammered. "Her name?" Vivian asked patiently. "The thugs called her,... what did they call her?" Treasure dragged her hair roughly, trying to remember.

"Sweetie, harming yourself won't help. Just calm down and try to-" "Boss! That's what they called her. But if she's the boss, why would they harm her?" Treasure asked. Vivian's face turned pale. "Regina!" Abby yelled dashing out of the room. She raced all the way to the living room and saw her grandmother seated on the couch.

"Grandma! Gina's missing! She's in trouble! We have to find her!" Antonia frowned. "Your sister is always getting into trouble. I'm sure she will be fine." "No grandma! She's missing! Please send your men to look for her!" Abby cried.

"Tch! It's a pity. You love your sister so much where as she feels nothing for you,... why bother worrying about her?" Antonia asked. "Because she's my sister. It doesn't matter grandma! Find her!" "Okay, Okay. Lucas! Send out a rescue team to search for Regina." "Yes madam!"

In the dark room in the basement

Regina held her stomach tightly. The pills were messing with her insides. She suddenly felt incredibly hungry, as if nanobots were eating up her intestines but all she wanted to do was eat. She groaned loudly, the pain was worsening.

"Am I really going to die?" she asked herself. "You can die but I mustn't." That's when she was born. An even more ruthless Regina. Her left iris slowly turned red. "Antonia,... you must die in my hands." she said.
