Execution of the plan (pt.2)

(Arthur's Perspective):

Arthur had just walked outside of Marcellus' house and got in his car. He was sitting in it without starting it, just staring at the wheeling and thinking.

'Alicia, ugh, I really hate that b*tch!' thought Arthur in indignation as he hit the steering wheel a few times.

'First she killed my best friend! How am I even supposed to act like I am remotely okay with that!?' thought Arthur as he squeezed the steering wheel.

'Now, all of these really bad people are after us and we are doing our best to protect her instead of abandoning her and hiding' complained Arthur inwardly. His anger seemingly turned into a temper tantrum.

'And what's up with the reeking smell of hypocrisy radiating off of her? It's like a warm breeze wafting across the meadow…that Bambi's mom was shot in' joked Arthur inwardly in a self -deprecating manner.

'This human knows too much, he will betray you Marcel. You're the only one who has put him in danger in the first place, with your royally bitchy attitude' cursed Arthur inwardly, as he finally collected himself.

He started the car and was headed to one of his play areas. Since Arthur is rich, by the super, special ways of nepotism, his family/mom owns multiple properties across the continent.

One or two of these was used by Arthur to create a fun place to play. Almost like a batcave of his very own, after all, you know how billionaires feel about their toys. COUGH -Batman- COUGH, but that's none of my business.

On one of these properties, Arthur has an underground bunker type place. It is in the middle of open woods with a hidden handle that opens to stairs and the rest of the base.

Arthur Made sure everything was in order and ready for them to go. He made a few calls, crunched some numbers and fired some idiot who vapes in the bathrooms instead of doing actual work! No, wait, that's what his mom did, and coincidentally, that is also who Arthur called just now.

RING RING RI–

"Hello?" a female voice on the other side of Arthurs phone spoke.

"Hey, mom" replied Arthur as he sighed a little, as well as gulped. His mom was scarier than his dad when she was angry, he didn't want to make this woman turn into the she-hulk okay?

"Art? What's up?" Arthur's mom asked after she heard his voice.

"Mom, I can't explain and I'm pretty busy right now, but do you remember that underground base that I used to play in?" asked Arthur in a serious tone.

"You mean the one that I and your father weren't allowed into because it was your own personal, 'Bat-Cave?" responded Arthur's mom with a giggle as she imagined her son's embarrassment.

"Y-you agreed that we would never discuss my previous issues with my delusions!!!" shouted Arthur as he had a furious blush on his face at the moment.

"Hehehehehe, Whatever do you mean Art? You're having delusions?" Arthur's mom gasped with surprise before she started chuckling even harder.

"No, just…Can you please keep the lights on in that place for a little while?" asked Arthur with a sigh as he tried to change the subject. A smooth operator indeed.

"Sure, love you Art, I'm…sorry im not around so much anymore" responded Arthur's mom this time sighing just like him. She truly felt bad, and Arthur never got mad at her for it, its not really her fault but that doesn't mean that he likes it.

So, with a sigh, he responds, "Thank you mom, I love you too" Before hanging up and sighing again.

"So many issues, not enough time to solve them. The life of a human really sucks sometimes huh" muttered Arthur as he started thinking more about his problems.

He took them down, one by one, and figured out how he can move towards a future where those problems are solved.

A few hours later, he sees a car pulling up so he gets out of the car. He stood and waited. He greeted Alicia as soon as she got out of the car, ignoring this burning desire to yell at her because of the negative emotions that she makes him feel.

"Did you bring me my gift?" asked Arthur as he tried to joke around with Alicia. However, he knew that it was useless because she never responds to them.

She thinks that she is sooo above him that she would normally respond with a fake laugh at the most.

However, to Arthurs immense surprise, she responded, "Mn, Sure did, you ordered one male worker, with a side of vampire hunter right?" replied Alicia with a small smile as she pulled Chuck out of the uber.

"..Aw, You finally decided to join me in my god-level banter?" replied a surprised Arthur with a little chuckle.

He may have been joking around, however, he was still so very confused. Since when would this chick act like they were…friends? What caused her to change so much in the span of the hours since they last saw each other.

"Hey," Alicia paused as her expression became serious, "I'm sorry for being rude to you all of the time. I thought that if you found out more about how vampires normally are you would betray Marcel" continued Alicia as she looked Arthur in the eyes.

"I was wrong and I apologize!" she said it so deeply and firmly that Arthur had no choice but to think that she was being truthful.

"..." Arthur just stared at her wide eyed, in disbelief! She actually apologized! How was he supposed to respond to that? He was still incredibly angry at her for all the bullsh*t that she brought to his doorstep. Should he just forget and forgive all of the things that she has done?

Looking again, at her face Arthur realized what happened. She was reflecting, just like he was. She realized that she was in the wrong and putting her pride aside, apologized!

She was being genuine and sincere, she was understanding what her actions caused him and Marcellus to feel.

"Arthur?" Alicia said because he seemed unresponsive.

Arthur, hearing her call his name, snapped him out of his thoughts and back to reality.

After thinking about it he decided that in the end, a grudge wasn't worth it. Not when the person in question is sincerely trying to make up for her mistakes.

Arthur just stared at her for a few more seconds before he released a deep sigh, while shaking his head slightly, as if reprimanding himself for something.

"Apology accepted!" replied Arthur as he went back to his normal carefree self, "Lets get Mr. Hunter to the base" he nodded his head to gesture to follow him.
