"Okay. I will. Please help me.". She was sure she saw him getting surprised by her immediate yes, but he did a great job of hiding it. She sat in front of him after he signaled her to. "What do you want?".


After unlocking her phone, Go A Yeong turned it around to face him. The wallpaper was of her both sons smiling brightly at the camera. She saw how Jeong Seo Joon's face darkened with rage. Before he could say or do anything, she said, "I know. I did something terrible. But this is not the time.".


"The boys were kidnapped before yesterday. The police are doing their best, but there's been no news about them until now. I heard that these kidnappers are quite powerful, and so are you. Please save them. You can punish me however you want after they are rescued.". Jeong Seo Joon was rendered speechless.


He was already angry at her for leaving abruptly that day, five years ago. It was his first time, and he didn't even know who he lost it to. Unreasonable? Yes. Does he care? No.


Now, she presented herself to him after five years, showing him a picture of her children—their children. On top of that, they are in trouble. Not even one minute had passed, but strangely, he felt an indescribable affection toward them.


He took a deep breath to calm himself down and took out his phone. Go A Yeong saw him dialing someone and barking out an order. He hung up and turned to stare at her. His stare made Go A Yeong uneasy, and she began to squirm.


Noticing her discomfort, Jeong Seo Joon stopped staring and called the maidservant. "Sister Kim, show her the guest room.". Go A Yeong was baffled. "You look terrible. Take a rest for now," he said, heading somewhere.


He came out of his room after changing into a suit. On his way out, he came to a halt in front of her. "Rest well. I'll come back with the kids.".


Go A Yeong felt relieved after hearing his words. She nodded her head and stood there until he disappeared from her sight. Sister Kim brought her to the guest room and left after telling her to rest. Go A Yeong realized how tired she was when she looked at the bed. She collapsed and surrendered to exhaustion, trusting Jeong Seo Joon to save her children.


Jeong Seo Joon got into the car. "Did you find them?". Lee So Hyun, his PA, handed him a file and began to brief him about the situation. "It's the black eagle. Recently, they are the specialist in the kidnapping. They observe the kid for at least a month and execute their plan perfectly. There's a mole in the police force working for them, so they've been escaping every time there's a raid.".


"The kids?". Jeong Seo Joon knew that the black eagle was quite powerful currently, but he didn't care. Messing with his family was the same as messing with him. He was elated by how it was so natural for him to say that. Family.
