Go A Yeong opened her eyes to see her two children sleeping peacefully. Without hesitation, she scooped them into her arms and hugged them tightly, murmuring 'thank god' a few times. She felt Go Ji Hun and Go Ji Won hugging her back. "We are fine, mama.".
When Go A Yeong entered the living room with her children beside her, Jeong Seo Joon was in the same spot and posture she had seen him in, the day before. "When are we going to get married?". Jeong Seo Joon was on the verge of dropping his iPad. He turned to face her, the shock plain to see. "You're not going to bail out?". He will never let her go, but her, voluntarily asking to get married was not something he expected.
"I promised you. You helped me, and it's only right for me to repay you for that.". He nodded half-heartedly. "First, I didn't 'help' you. They are my children too, and their safety is very important to me. Second, we, marrying" he waved his fingers between them, "is not a repayment.".
"I understand. It's a punishment," Go A Yeong said, looking down at her children. "I'm fine with anything as long as you don't separate me from them.". Jeong Seo Joon was going to say something about responsibility, but he gave up. He had a lot on his plate, and explaining his responsibilities to her was not one of them. "Have your breakfast. We can go to the registration office after that.".
She was married. Just like five and a half years ago, her life did a hundred eighty in one day. But more than that, watching her children finally have a father figure in their lives made her happy. They won't be bullied anymore for not having a father. They don't need to worry about the amount of food they eat each day.
Jeong Ji Hun turned around to find his mother, sitting on a bench, looking at them lovingly. He left the father and son duo, who were arguing about which flavor to add to the waffle, and ran into her embrace when she gestured to him for a hug after seeing him looking at her.
"Ma. Are you not happy with this marriage? Tell me. I'll talk to that guy to get you the divorce. We can go back to living our lives just like before, just the three of us. I'm fine with that.". Go A Yeong burst out laughing. "You silly. You have a father now. You should be happy about it rather than worrying about me.".
"I don't care about others. It's you who's important to me.". Her son's words deeply moved her. She smiled brightly, placing a kiss on his cheek. "And the happiness of you and your brother is important to me. I'm happy if you're happy.". She turned to look at Jeong Ji Won laughing in his father's arms and said, "Your brother seems to be happy with this new life. Are you?".
Jeong Ji Hun thought about it deeply and slowly nodded his head. "I am. Because you don't need to work hard anymore and you can focus on your dreams.". Go A Yeong was speechless. She didn't know how to express her happiness other than by covering his face with kisses. Her son started to laugh, covering his face from her attacks.
When she unexpectedly looked up, she saw Jeong Seo Joon and Jeong Ji Won looking at them with jealousy. She could understand the reason for her son's expression, but as for Jeong Seo Joon's, she couldn't tell.
