Chapter 11

Jeong Ji Won excitedly shared about his whole day with his parents, while Jeong Ji Hun spoke in between, adding some details his brother missed out on. Sister Kim saw this scene from the kitchen and couldn't help but smile brightly. Usually, at this time, the house would have been in dead silence and only the keyboard clicking sound would've been heard. So the lively atmosphere in that haunted house-like house sure was a dream come true.

She had been serving as a maid in this household for decades, so she knew Jeong Seo Joon since he was five years old. But that poor kid and his older brother didn't grow up like any other children. One was trained for the underground, and one was for the family business. They had no time to enjoy their youth.

And the unusual glow on her young master's face at that moment was something she wanted to witness before her death. She would die happily now.

It was the day of the audition. Go A Yeong awoke early to rehearse her script. She knew the judges of the Moonlight Agency were very hard to impress, so she prepared herself for the worst. Jeong Ji Hun and Jeong Ji Won were excited for her, so she didn't want to disappoint them.

Although Go A Yeong refused Jeong Seo Joon's offer to drive her to the audition, he insisted on it. He dropped her a few meters away from the agency building. "All the best," was the only thing he said before driving off.

Moonlight Agency has maintained its position as the number one entertainment company. They have been for three years, ever since Jeong Seo Joon took over. So there were a lot of candidates at the audition. Being selected for the audition at Moonlight Agency was the same as hitting the jackpot. So many big projects will be guaranteed for them.

Go A Yeong sat patiently in a chair, awaiting her turn. She saw a few girls running away, crying after being rejected, and each time, her nervousness grew without warning. And then another man came out after auditioning, raging with anger. "Who do they think they are? I've been in this field for six years now, and what! I'm not passionate? My foot!".

Six years?! Go A Yeong was almost tempted to leave the hall. But her children's eager faces danced in front of her. She thought that failing after giving her best was better than leaving without trying. Furthermore, if Go A Yeong from five years ago saw her now, she would laugh in her face. She was braver and more passionate about her dream than the current her.

"Miss. Go A Yeong?". She stood up, determined to give her best. She wanted to be herself at that moment, not the mother of two children. She entered the audition hall and saw three fierce-looking judges, their expressions silently begging her to start working on her script right away. She could tell that they weren't in a good mood.

Go A Yeong took a deep breath, clearing her mind of all unnecessary thoughts. She looked straight at the judges and started to act out the scene. Hers was a three-minute script. A girl releases her grief over losing someone very dear to her. There was no dialogue, and one's emotions played the biggest role in that scene.

Three minutes passed, and she stopped. She looked up at the judges, panting from all the screaming. She was elated to see the impressed look on their faces. One by one, everyone started to clap their hands, and only then did Go A Yeong realize the number of people that were there.
