Go A Yeong had no choice but to run to the person who, she had been hiding from for five years, to save her children. In return, he asked her to marry him. Between saving her life or saving her children, the answer was obvious to her. But, is she really giving up on her life or upgrading it?

Jeong Seo Joon didn't know who the woman he spent the night with was, five years ago, neither he wanted to know. That is, until the woman in question appeared in front of him without a notice, asking to save her children or, should he say, his. And before he knew it, he had a wife and a twin boys.

Jeong Seo Joon paused arranging the things and turned to face her. He had an idea about what she was apologizing for, so he kept quiet, waiting for her to continue. "When I found out that I was pregnant, I wanted to tell you. The problem was I didn't know who you were.". Jeong Seo Joon used to work in the background until three years ago, so no one knew about his existence until then.

"Two years had gone, by the time I started to hear about you. But... I was scared. I didn't know you or what you were capable of. You could've easily gotten rid of me and kept the children with you, or worse, killed us all.". She stole a glance at him. Wasn't she giving him ideas by saying this to him?

Jeong Seo Joon wanted to laugh. He didn't know she was scared of him to this extent. "So I decided to keep them hidden for as long as I live. But, here we are." her shoulders slumped in defeat against fate. "I was all alone, and the children were my only strengths. I wouldn't have made it this far if they weren't by my side.".

"What if I had asked you to leave the children the day you came to me?" Jeong Seo Joon was desperate to find out the answer to this question. Go A Yeong didn't waste any time in responding. "I would've agreed right away. For me, the children are more important than myself. The question of whether I'd be able to live without them came second. Their safety would always be the priority.".

Jeong Seo Joon gave her a genuine smile. Mothers are something else. "Don't worry. I'm not that cruel to do that.". Remembering something, he said, "Our marriage, please keep it a secret.". She nodded her head, "I was going to say the same. I can't afford to publicize our marriage if I want to make a career in this industry.".

Jeong Ji Hun and Jeong Ji Won were picked up by the driver after school. They refused the idea when Jeong Seo Joon asked them to transfer to a more prestigious school, claiming they didn't want to leave their friends. So Jeong Seo Joon wanted them to at least let his driver bring them home instead of the school bus.

Their things were already in their new house by the time they came back. Jeong Ji Won hugged his dad, greeting him, but Jeong Ji Hun only nodded at him. He still refused to call Jeong Seo Joon intimately as he still needed more time to assess him. If he treats his mother badly, even a little, he's going to leave the house with her and his brother. Jeong Seo Joon, too, did not make him do anything against his will.

The family of four had dinner together that night. Sister Kim's cooking wowed both Go A Yeong and the children. On top of that, she behaved so warmly towards her and the children. While interacting with her, Go A Yeong was occasionally reminded of her mother.

"The food is so delicious, sister. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't improve the taste of my cooking. Can you teach me?". Sister Kim smiled at her and said, "Of course, dear. You can come to the kitchen whenever you want.".
