Amyra's POV
" Yes, dice that and add it to the pot. That will be all, thanks. ", I say to Agatha and close the pot, wiping my hand with a dish cloth.
I look up from the kitchen area to see Lucas walking in with a brunette girl. They're both laughing and talking about something, her hand grasping his upper arm.
She looks familiar.
It suddenly clicks and I remember her as Danielle Dawson, a famous fashion designer and Lucas' younger sister.
I don't even realize they're in front of me already until she speaks.
" Oh hello, I'm Dani. ", she grins cheerily, holding out her hand.
I let out a small smile of mine, accepting her hand for a hand shake.
" Amyra. Nice to meet you. ", I nod before my eyes trail up to Lucas'. He's staring at me with something I can't pinpoint.
" I'm making dinner already. ", I say, tightening the bun on my head.
" Oh great. Can I join you? ", Dani quips.
" No. ", Lucas says as I say ' Yes '
" I was asking my sister-in-law. ", she sticks out her tongue before proceeding to hand me a gift bag.
" Oh uhm.. you didn't have to. ", I start but she shakes her head, pressing the bag into my hand.
" I couldn't stay for the wedding, take it as my apology gift. "
" Thank you. "
" I'll go freshen up. ", Lucas states, pausing on his way to the stairs to look at me.
" Did you eat anything today? "
I'm taken aback by the unnecessary intimacy that follows the question but nod. He looks away, proceeding to our room.
" Well, I really wanted to bond with you.", Dani starts as we make our way to the living room.
" You know, I've never actually had a sister before. What's it like? ", she asks but soon looks at me in realization.
" Oh my God, I'm sorry for asking that. So sorry. ", she apologizes but I giggle at her outburst.
" It's fine, really. It wasn't all that bad growing up. Plus I had cousins that felt like sisters, growing up. ", I start. And that's how we continue, in her words, bonding.

LUCAS' POV...
I groan, taking off my cufflinks and blazer as I stare at my room, like, fully stare. It looks so different now that it's also inhabiting a woman.
Speaking of which, I noticed a change in her mood when she met Dani.
That girl has the type of energy I can't fully comprehend as of yet.
There's a note from Amyra on the mirror reminding me to not leave the toilet seat up. I roll my eyes and do as it says, chuckling as I notice the change she's bringing in.
Dominating my whole space.
It's refreshing in a way.

" Hey, Amy asked us to come over for dinner sometime. Mama, Dad and I. "
" But, I wanted us to ask you first. See if I'm not disrupting anything. ", Amyra says, pink tinting her cheeks, so I know that's not all they talked about.
" I can make out time. Will tonight be good? ", I ask as I sit opposite Amy, staring at her.
" Tonight is perfect. I'll go finish up dinner while you call them. ", she moves to get up but I stop her in time.
" But I haven't even had dessert yet. ", I say, watching as she shuffles uncomfortably, clearly not used to this kind of open flirting, I guess.
But she's my wife, so I'm allowed to flirt.
A lacy fabric catches my eye and I see it's sticking out from the bag my sister gave her earlier.
" I need to freshen up. ", she says as her exit line and grabs the bag, rushing out of the room.
" Pervert. ", my sister smirks at me as my eyes follow her out.
" I'm allowed to be one. She's my wife. Anyways, what were you guys talking about before I came. "
Dani scoffs in my face, looking at me smugly, " None of your business. "
" Brat. ", I mutter.
After calling my parents and confirming that they'll be coming, I have the helpers set the table and go freshen up in my room.
I'm immediately greeted with the sight of my wife in a towel as she exits the bathroom.
She hums and wipes her hair with another one, proceeding to sit on the bed, using lotion on her legs.
My eyes shamelessly roam down her legs before she notices my presence, letting out a little scream in surprise.
" What are you doing?! ", she asks and I rub the back of my neck as I walk in.
" Sorry, I just got here. I need to freshen up. "
" Okay. ", she says slowly, watching my every move.
" Uhm, I've already studied the rules. I can follow some of them, not all. ", she frowns.
" Which are the difficult ones to follow? "
" For example, you can't prohibit me from having male friends. Or say that I have to ask your permission before hanging out with them. It's absurd and an invasion of privacy, Lucas. ", she says disapprovingly.
" We can always amend certain sections, I guess. ", I nod as I try to look anywhere but at her.
Eventually, we agree to set a meeting with my Lawyers as soon as possible but to also follow some exclusive parts of the contract which includes dinner with my parents once in two weeks.
Tonight being a coincidence which has also worked in my favour.

About an hour later, Dani comes to call me from my study as mom and dad have arrived. I make my way downstairs to see Amyra already with my parents.
She looked absolutely breathtaking in a simple blue fitted jeans and a sleeveless shirt, pairing her outfit with sandals. Her long, black hair cascades down her back in loose curls.
" My goodness, honey, I've missed you so much. ", my mom says as she hugs me. My dad gives me a pat on the back as we all walk to the dinning area, exchanging pleasantries.
" Please sit, I'll get the wine. ", Amyra says as she walks off into the kitchen. She returns almost immediately with two bottles of wine.
" Oh wow, this smells and looks delicious. ", my mother cheers excitedly as Amyra insists on serving us.
" What recipe is this? ", Dani asks.
" It's actually something new I'm trying. Fried rice and shrimp with a little twist. And some roasted chicken. ", Amyra smiles.
" Oh my, this is amazing. What's the twist? "
" It's a secret, Mr Landon. ", she says and my dad lets out a deep chuckle.
" Guess I can live with that. ", he smiles.
My father hardly smiles around.. other people.
" You'll fit just right in this family, dear. "
" Welcome to the family, Amyra. ", my mom beams.
