Preparing for the wave

It was a frenzied time as not just the Jackrixis but the other candidates were preparing for what was to come and sadly they didn't have a religious system.

This meant that they were still just able to watch and hope their race was strong enough to hold on and survive.

As for those with the monster system while they couldn't necessarily talk to their race they had much more control over them.

For the Jackrixis they were all stocking up on food and creating many different types of weapons and defenses that they could think of.

They weren't of the best quality considering their current intelligence and technological level but they did well for themselves.

Some tribes dug up the ground and stuck large wooden spikes into the ground and then covered them back up with dirt creating a basic defensive wall.

Others managed to have walls that would be able to take a beating and give some insulation which would in the future lead to proper housing and construction.

Some of the rixis in the jungle had managed to copy some of the large carnivore plants in their biome and create some basic traps.

It wouldn't kill in large games but it would help slow them down or hold them back since it was better fighting two things at once than three.

There was also an agreement between many of the tribal elders and leaders which is that they would do as best as they could to share information.

They had against the enemies that would be coming so they would have an easier time killing them.

They only had 3 days to prepare so all of the rixis race was involved in the effort even the tribes that were hidden away made preparations.

The different religious groups also took the time to try and spread and increase their number of followers through this time.

They only had a basic language but it was getting better as time went on and they still had paintings and hand gestures to help out.

Like how right now a young believer of the Apexian order was following his elder who was a rixis who had reached the age of 29 which was quite rare.

His elder was a female Jackrixis who had come from the plains biome to the forest biome many seasons ago and made her home with the forest tribe.

She got along well with the tribe members and thought she would end up like the other elder and would not be living for much longer.

But then the awakening happen and her lifespan increased and she felt she could still go on for a few more years if she was lucky.

So she decides that this must be a sign to the gods that she still had work to do so went on to preach and spread the message of their lords as best as she could.

In some places she succeeded in others she failed but she never stopped and with the increase in life span she managed to see much more of the world.

Or we'll the Jackrixis world that they had explored but she had enjoyed seeing the different biomes and meeting other tribes and individuals.

On her journey, she managed to get a few followers and let them join her on her mission as she was one of the founding members of the Apexian order.

So they all held her in high regard not just because of her position but age as she was one of the oldest rixis alive and they got to learn under her.

Currently, the young believer was following his elder who was coming back to the forest tribe after going on another journey to a different tribe.

They had hoped to get an alliance or aid from the other tribes as though they had loyal warriors they focused more on their religion.

They managed to receive one or two warriors which wasn't much but would still help them with the wave that was coming.

Once they were spotted they were quickly swarmed by the young rixis hoping to hear of the tails and tribulations they had to go through.

This didn't bother the elder who calmly spoke and gestured to the children and explained things if she could to them.

The children were also curious about the four warriors behind the group who came from the other tribes.

One was from the crimson guards and another from the mountain slammers and the other two were from regular tribes.

The children tried to climb up the crimson guard warrior while pulling on the basic armor the mountain slammer warrior wore.

Eventually, the kids went off to play or kill a small rodent and the elder and her group came to the center of the tribe where the other elders were.

They gave quick nods to each other for those who were family a quick hug before they got to their discussion.

"Got... Warriors?"-Elder

"Yes got"-Female elder

"Good we stronger"-Elder

"How... many?" -Elder

The female elder showed 4 fingers as they didn't have a number system yet and the elder nodded his head happy with the turnout.

"Make gods proud we must"-Elder

"Yes we must"-Female elder

This was how most basic conversations were and it did the job most of the time but it would get more complex as time went on.

The Jackrixis were working hard in every path they could to either please the gods or become stronger or better hunters.

But that did matter to Jack as long as they help the race as a whole they wouldn't need to pray to him and just need to be loyal to the Jackrixis.

"System can I ask you a question?"-Jack
