Accident 2

"She put it off." Emmett sighed in relief.

"Thank goodness." Assistant sighed in relief too.

Emmett clicked his tongue and walked towards the girl's car.

"Get the car ready." He said to his driver and assistant.

He walked towards the car. His walks weren't in hurry but not slow either.

Reaching the car, he saw no one around. The hood was up, smoke was coming out, the water bottles were thrown on the road, but there was no sign of that girl.

Emmett got a little worried about the girl's wounds. She was already injured and then the fire took place. He was about to call her when from the side of the car he heard some ruffling sound.

He slightly tilted his head to get a view of the source of that sound.

There the girl was bowing down and taking out her belongings from her bag.

All Emmett could see was her back which looked more like a shadow as he wasn't able to see that clearly too.

He went ahead. The closer he was reaching, the more that body seemed familiar to him. And the next second he realised.

"Noodles?"

***

After leaving the village Pearl realised that Rishi was not wrong. It is neither right nor safe to drive in such darkness.

And within an hour its result was also found. When she was coming back, she lost her balance due to darkness and hit the car.

After hitting her car, she was wounded perfectly. Her elbow and knee had visible wounds. Her old wound on the back of her head reopened.

It didn't scare her much. What bothered her was the deserted highway. The icing on the cake was her phone signal which showed not a single line on it. Full cross.

She was still in the middle of thoughts when she saw a car coming in her direction. Her eyes turned cold. Wasting no time, she took out her knife from her boot's side pocket for safety.

The car stopped and two men came out of the car. The more they got close to them, the more her hold on her knife got firm.

"Excuse me miss. Are you alright?" The driver asked.

Pearl nodded her head in answer. Her back was facing as she was taking rest while sitting on the ground and leaning herself to her car.

"You look injured a lot. Come with us, we will take you to the hospital."

"It's okay. My secretary is coming to pick me up." Pearl replied.

At such a place at night having no one is better than having a stranger by your side. Although she is very sure of her safety, she still doesn't want to create any scene even for her fight.

"But it's not safe for you to stay here like this. Moreover, you are injured." Assistant said.

"I think I made myself clear. I don't need your help. Please be on your way." Pearl's tone was nowhere near to friendliness. Her cold vibes warned those two men.

Having nothing more to say they went back. Pearl closed her eyes in relief. She was about to check her phone network again when she noticed those flames.

She couldn't help but roll her eyes with her bad luck. She knew this would happen and that's why she was prepared with the water bottle. Wasting no time, she extinguished it.

While she was pouring water on her car she saw another man coming towards her with a different demeanour. Pearl sighed tiredly. "Can't they just give me a break?"

She walked to the shotgun seat and took out her bag. Rummaging through her belongings, this time she took out her gun.

She was ready with her pistol but she heard that voice calling her. After crashing her car, getting all those injuries, and then those potential threats to her by those men, not for once she was wavered by any event.

This whole time she was all with a collected mind and knew what she must do or might have to do. She was ready to take all measures without batting her eyes. However, the moment she heard his voice, she wavered.

Once she knew that someone was here for her, those pains and dizziness she was ignoring started showing their presence. She started losing control over herself.

The gun slid back to her backpack and her legs almost gave out with light-headed symptoms. She was about to fall but he came and took hold of her by her shoulder.

"Noodles, are you hurt?" He held her close.

Emmett's heart started beating crazily. His hold on her shoulder got tightened. His eyes turned red instantly. He started looking around in fear. The car's condition was making him lose his mind.

Earlier it was just a mere accident to him. But now that mere thing scared the hell out of him. The impact which looked normal till now became life threatening to his heart.

His eyes started throwing daggers at everything. Pearl's whole body was leaning on him. While his one hand was on her shoulder the other one was on her waist holding her properly and closely. He could feel her body coldness even from the clothes. He was her only support.

Once seeing his face completely, an insane amount of relief surged inside her heart. Knowing that her problem is sorted and she took a deep breath as she regained her strength.

Though she still felt a little headache and it was hard to concentrate, she pulled herself up. Her balance wasn't in her ability, but she created some difference between them.

Emmett didn't move. She might have created some distance between them but it wasn't more than a few inches, as he didn't allow her to do so.

Standing properly she held the hem of his jacket as she shook her head and said. "Nothing. Just a little dizziness."

"You are hurt." He coldly said.

"Let's go back to your car first. I can't stand longer." She said.

Emmett's eyes were darkened by her words. Seeing her condition, her being this injured, was infuriating him. Not minding her expression of keeping distance away, he moved forward and took her in his arms.

Sliding his hands under her knee and waist, he carried her right away straight to his car.

"Senior! Give me a warning at least!" Pearl's voice raised in surprise. Her hands instinctively hugged his neck.

"We have to take care of your wounds. Don't move or I'll be hurt too." He warned her coldly.

Pearl's eyes rolled. Patting his side shoulder she said. "Take my bag at least. It's important."

"Driver will bring it back."

Saying that he hurriedly took her back to his car. His assistant was ready with an open door. Placing Pearl inside the car, he ran around the car before taking his seat beside her.

By then the driver had already bought Pearl's belongings with him. "Drive the car straight to the hospital." Emmett said.

The driver passed Pearl's bag to the Assistant but she immediately asked back. "I'll take my bag."

Pearl bent forward and took her bag from the Assistant personally. Emmett's eyes narrowed suspiciously with her actions. "What is it?"

Not hiding anything, Pearl passed her bag to him before leaning completely to the windshield. "Keep it to yourself. There's a gun inside."

Hearing that Driver's hand wavered in horror. However Emmett sighed in relief. Placing the bag to his other side away from Pearl he scooted to her side.

Once the car started, Emmett pulled the divider between the first-row seat and them. Pearl ignored what he was doing and closed her eyes to sleep.
