Her anger on Arush

When Arush reached the Mallaya mansion he wasn't allowed to wait inside. With time, getting no contact with Pearl he told the butler his identity and his relation with Pearl.

Butler at first was still reluctant. But on Rishi's order he allowed him to wait inside.

However, Krish didn't think that Pearl would take so much time to come. He also got many calls from his home.

Telling his mother that he would stay outside with his friends today he got it handled. In the end, Pearl only came after midnight.

Watching his sister coming back with another man, his eyes squinted little. But her wounds piqued his attention more quickly. Seeing her bandaged forehead his heart got frightened with fear.

Arush ran to her side. "Sister Pearl!! What happened to you?" He wanted to hold her and help her to walk, but Pearl smoothly avoided his touch.

"Why are you here?" She apathetically looked at him.

Her emotionless way of talking scared the little boy very easily. Stepping backward, he stammered as he asked. "I… I was... worried that… Why didn't you come back home, Sister?"

"I am not coming back." She answered simply and straightforwardly.

To her words, an instant lump formed in Arush's throat. Looking around the room he avoided her gaze and asked again. "Sister? You said you would..."

Pearl sighed impatiently. She felt her dizziness coming back. Her brain had started showing its medication effects again. She can't stand any longer. Pursing her lips to hide her pain she asked again but with little anger. "Why are you here?"

Her anger tightened Arush's nerves. His heartbeat raced. His desire to just stay silent was winning over him, however, he didn't want to lose the chance to talk to her. He took the dare and asked again. "I…But... why can't you? You promised."

Emmett saw all the interaction, though anyone would feel awkward to be in that situation, Emmett found it quite funny. More than him, he is sure that Arush and Pearl felt more awkward towards each other than any stranger.

Being a bystander he just wanted to stay quiet and watch the whole show. But, Pearl's pursed lips reminded him about her wounds.

Coming forward, he placed his hand on Arush as he said to stop his interrogation. "Your sister is hurt. Let her take some rest. She needs it."

"Hurt? What happened to her? Sister are you alright?" Arush forgot everything he came for. He wanted to hold her again but stopped himself.

"Hmm." Pearl gave her perfunctory answer.

"Let me help you to your room."

"I can walk." Pearl immediately denied his help.

"I.." Arush felt embarrassed and sad too. He looked at Emmett and then Pearl. But no one has a sympathetic gaze for him.

In the end, Emmett spoke first to Pearl. "Let's walk-in. You need to rest too."

Pearl ignored his words and asked Arush her question again. "Why are you here?"

"I told you."

"No you didn't."

"Sister... please..."

"What?"

"I… wanted to take you back."

"I am not coming back. Now leave."

"Sister!" Arush called her loudly. Her answers were cut to cut. Arush had to gather so much guts to question her with few words, whereas Pearl would deny his every initiative without wasting her glance. It not just embarrassing him but also hurting him a lot. Because of that his voice unknowingly raised with his emotions.

Pearl stared at that face for five seconds. In those five seconds, everyone felt that coldness around them. It was hard to breathe for Arush.

Emmett noted the coldness in her aura. Pursing his lips he controlled his smile. It feels good to see Pearl being angered by someone else too.

Arush looked down to his feet with a guilty mind. Unlike how he behaves with his family he forgot that he can't do the same to his sister. His fist tightened but he apologized immediately. "Sorry I didn't mean to shout at you. I was… please."

"Go back." Pearl repeated.

"Sis-"

"Go back in an instant." Pearl firmly said again.

"I am sorry." Arush apologized again but Pearl's firmness scared him.

"You want my guards to take you out?" Pearl didn't try to hide her displeasure from anyone's eyes.

Arush felt like crying. No one has ever treated him like this. Though he felt sad he didn't hate her for her choice of words. All these days he had prepared himself with all the aloofness his sister would show him.

However, preparing with theory and experiencing it in practice, does make the difference. He is still a kid and desiring love from his sister, made him upset if he isn't getting one.

Emmett sighed with helplessness. Tapping Pearl's shoulder he spoke.

"Pearl it's too late to send a kid back on the road. Let him rest here today."

"..."

"..."

No one said anything for a while. After few seconds Pearl sighed deeply. It was true that it's late. However, seeing such a careless kid infuriates her a little. Saying nothing in reply she walked towards the stairs.

Emmett gave a comforting smile to Arush. Asking Butler to take care of Arush, he followed Pearl to the stairs.

"You are pretty rude to your brother." He commented.

"He is too wilful."

"And you are educating him?" He asked curiously. "If i am not wrong, you never even tried to talk to him properly. Never contacted him before. And after that you are talking about being wilful? You?"

Pearl's steps on the stairs stopped. Looking back to the man following her, she asked with one brow raised. "Aren't you going back?"

"I am staying."

"...?" Pearl had twitched lips and narrowed eyes as she stared at him.

Emmett understands her gaze on him. He smiled before pointing to her forehead as he stated his concern. "You are injured."

"And I clearly think that it's none of your business Senior."

"..."

Pearl instantly felt guilty for being rude. However, because of medication, she was very impatient and her emotions were going up and down continuously.

Emmett noticed her guilty mind and immediately added some more to it. "Aren't you too careless while talking too? Never think about others feelings."

Pearl avoided his accusing gaze on her. Licking her lower lips she avoided the topic too and continued walking. "Whatever." She murmured.

"Where are you going?"

"..."

"...Okay don't reply."

Watching Emmett walking ahead of her suddenly and then taking a turn to her bedroom, she doubtfully asked.

"Where are you going?" This time Pearl asked the question.

"..."

"Are you ignoring me?" She spoke lightly but frustration was clearly visible in her tone.

"You ignored me first." He replied with his arrogant tone.

Pearl didn't want to bother herself with such childish talk. She preferred to ignore his presence. However, his moving step towards her bedroom made her speak again. "That way is towards my bedroom."

"I know." Emmett carelessly replied.

His ignorance irked her. The way he played dumb made her raise her volume as she called him loudly. "Senior?"

Emmett stopped on her call. But still did not turn back. "I am staying tonight with you in your bedroom. Now shhh, and follow me."
