What is going on. When I heard the knock, I had thought it was just some reporter trying to squeeze a few words out of me because of all the rumors but to think it was Abel, the crown prince!
Face of an angel, curly, blond hair to match his blue gentle eyes, symmetrical face, and his perfect jawline. I would have fell for him, if I was straight. I grit my teeth and rub my temple trying to calm down the on going headache raging in my head.
"Quite the nice place you have here. I respect you for putting up with this box of a home. Specially since you are the grand dukes daughter: Sylvia Valadez"
The crown prince says while chuckling.
"What are you doing here Abel. And you better not come up with petty excuses like on how you missed my presence or my cooking. Hurry, spit it out. I don't have all day."
Sylvia says bluntly.
"Your as feisty as ever. But I did quite miss your cooking"
Abel says with a grin
"Get. On. With. It. Now. I have no times for these mind games."
Although I really didn't have nothing to do, I didn't want to spend not even one more second with him.
"Alright, alright. The truth is we need you back."
Abel says sternly while sitting in the chair of the two person squared wooden dining table.
I also take a seat.
"We?"
I say quite confused.
"The entire kingdom. We need you. We need your skills. And your fiancé, he needs you too. Ever since your father had passed and you ran away from your party of becoming grand duchesses, everything as been going downhill. We've been losing our mana stones at an alerting rate. Only you, the last blood of the grand duke can find, and purify the mana stones. Only you. The next door kingdom will soon be coming over. But at this rate we'll have no more mana stones to keep things running. Please. I Abel, the Crown Prince, Star of the Sky, Star of the night, is begging you."
Abel had said in a confident tone.
But I won't go back.
"No"
Sylvia says. Abel had looked quite shocked and confused, I'm guessing he thought such a small speech would move me.
'Does he really think I would be moved by a speech of that caliber?'
Sylvia chuckles as these thoughts roam her head.
"But Sylvia, we're counting on you."
Abel says.
"And?"
I say bluntly
"haah Sylvia, you were always so stubborn. Specially at times like these. I won't force you, but please keep in mind everything I had just said."
Abel says while taking a bite out of one of the cookies on the plate.
I glare at him for eating her cookies, and although his brain might be rotting, he isn't dumb and he took that as a sign to leave.
"Well, I'll be heading out now. You know where to come, when you have your answer."
Abel says while stepping out, and closing the door behind him.
I stare at the door for quite a while before taking a bite out of her cookies.
"Sorry for eating your cookies."
I say with a sullen face.
"But heh, you need me? We need you? Abel can be quite the jokester sometimes"
I say while chuckling.
"Of course they need me."
