Butterbrot With A Side Of Cookies

"Hmm… What should I have for breakfast?"

I softly murmur under my breath. I open my worn out, wooden, refrigerator which was only running with the few mana stones I had, hoping there'd be something in there to make up my mind on what to eat. Only to see nothing. Nothing in my fridge, head to toe. Empty.

"When was the last time I had shopped? What have I been eating for these last few days?"

I said aghast.

In my past life my fridge was always full no matter what! I frown while I slam my refrigerator door closed. I open a cabinet and pull out a slight stale piece of bread. I stare at it.

"Guess I'll just have this then."

I say in a nonchalant tone. I open my refrigerator once again, only to pull out a small block of butter.

I spread the butter across my stale piece of bread with my index finger. I lick the butter of my finger, and I take a bite out of my butterbrot.

"Hm.. it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be."

I say while shrugging. I once more open my cabinet this time to grab a plate and a container filled of cookies, her favorite snack. I placed three cookies on the plate, and put the container with the remaining cookies back in the cabinet. I place the plate on one side of the two person squared wooden dining table while I take a seat on the other side.

I sit in silence, with my mind pondering, while I bite, chew, and swallow my butterbrot. Even after finishing my butterbrot, I still sit in silence.

I quite enjoy this. The quietude of my home, nobody talking, while we relax. Just me and her..

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"Hello!! Anyone in there?!!"

I hear at the front door. My eyes quickly breach open and I once again start to frown, and this time I can really feel the wrinkles forming on my forehead.

I start to grind my teeth while I get up, I walk to the door hesitant on wether I should open the door or not.

"I mean it's not like I have to.. but it'll be rude not to.. hmm.. I guess I just won't open it"

I say unconcerned. I start to walk away from the door until I hear..

"Sylvia. I know you in there."

My eyes widen

"I heard all your footsteps hit your floor. You should really get that wooden floor checked, the creaking sounds make me quite uneasy."

The mysterious man says while chuckling behind the door.

Sylvia rapidly turns around and aggressively opens the door.

"haah.. I knew it.. it's you. Abel.."

I say while I rub my temple and a headache starts to form.

"Well that's quite the welcome. I appreciate it!"

Abel says in a sarcastic but playful tone.
