Chapter 108 Reverse Flash Is the Murderer...
Reverse Flash's face quickly shook and became blurred, resembling a mosaic. His eyes glowed red as he stared coldly at Stephen, who clapped his hands and smiled.
"Don't cause trouble for me anymore!" His voice exuded a cold mechanical tone.
Stephen chuckled and shook his head. "You're the one asking for trouble. I didn't want to pay attention to you, but you had to jump out to assert your presence and make trouble for me? Well then, come and try. Let's see who kneels and beg."
"You will Die!" The chilling voice faded as lightning instantly surged ⚡.
The Reverse Flash rushed toward Stephen 🏃♂️.
Simultaneously, Stephen moved as well.
Two red lightning bolts intertwined in the hall ⚡, seemingly moving at the same speed. After a few rounds, Reverse Flash suddenly extended his hand, pulling The Flash up, and swiftly headed for the door .
Huh!
Stephen stopped and didn't give chase.
"No, aren't you going after him?" the teleport girl asked curiously. Though she couldn't keep up with their speed, it felt as if they were moving at the same pace.
"If I want to, I can defeat him in various ways. It would be too easy so, I will just make him kneel and admit his defeat or beg, I don't care," Stephen replied, turning his head and chuckling.
A Similar looking man as Stephen with a camera emerged from the nearby corner.
"This...this..."
Upon seeing this man, Multiplex and the teleport girl were stunned.
"You can duplicate too?" Multiplex blurted out unconsciously.
"Duplicate? No, I can't. And I've always found that ability rather repulsive. In a way, it might not be 'you.' Sorry, I'm not targeting you," Stephen insincerely responded with a hint to multiplex. After apologizing, he picked up the camera.
The other individual slowly transformed into an afterimage and vanished.
By possessing enough speed to move between two points, one can create the illusion of doing two things simultaneously. It's fundamentally different from true duplication. Stephen himself performs two actions at the same time, but duplication? Regardless of how Stephen duplicates, he no longer feels like himself once separated.
Multiplex wasn't angered. Instead, a thought struck him: if Stephen can shoot and fight Reverse Flash, doesn't that mean he's much faster than Reverse Flash?
OMG!
How fast is he?
"Not a bad shot," Stephen said, closing the camera with satisfaction and smiling at the astonished Multiplex and teleport girl. "You've also completed your task admirably. Central City is now yours. Enjoy yourselves."
"What?"
Multiplex and the teleport girl were shocked. What did he mean? Were they no longer being coerced? Was he letting them go so easily? No, something wasn't right! They were now infamous criminals, entangled with The Flash and Reverse Flash. If they didn't want to go to jail or be killed, they had to... They had to become enemies of The Flash and Reverse Flash.
Observing their sudden realization, Stephen activated the speed force and disappeared in a flash 🏃♂️.
With them around, The Flash wouldn't have an easy time for a while. As for Reverse Flash? Hehe, Stephen had an opportunity to lend a hand as well.
After leaving, Stephen didn't return home. Instead, he headed to the place where Iris was working, briefly circled around her, and then made his way straight to S.T.A.R. Labs.
In S.T.A.R. Labs
Barry Allen, also known as The Flash, woke up from a coma and found himself surrounded by concerned gazes from Cisco, Caitlin, and Harrison Wells. He felt a bit dazed. "How did I..."
"You were sent back by red lightning speedster," whispered Caitlin Snow.
"Stephen?" Barry Allen asked, confused. "How could he..."
"I don't know," Cisco Raymond shook his head. "But the villain team killed Simon Stagg and... Girder is dead."
"Dead? Why? How?" Barry Allen felt like he had blacked out and missed a lot of things.
"Who knows!" Cisco Raymond shrugged.
"No matter what you're doing, Barry, you can't rely on luck every time. If you want to save people and make a difference, the best thing you can do now is to increase your speed instead of recklessly putting yourself in danger," said Harrison Wells with a serious expression.
"I... I understand," Barry Allen whispered in frustration.
"Huh!"
Suddenly, a red electric light illuminated the room ⚡, and Stephen appeared with a smile, raising his hand. "Hi, everyone."
"Stephen!" Barry Allen stood up instantly, eyeing him cautiously.
"I know I'm cool and badass, but you don't have to get so excited every time you see me," Stephen said with a smile to Cisco Raymond. "It's been a long time. I'm afraid I need your help this time."
"What are you planning to do?" Cisco Raymond asked, his voice filled with concern.
"Don't be afraid. Being afraid is useless anyway. I just need you to assist me with something." Stephen handed the camera to Cisco Raymond, then glanced at Harrison Wells. "Well, he seems quite composed!"
"Oh, and this is for you."
Stephen threw something at Barry, then quickly transformed into a red light and disappeared.
By the time Barry Allen caught the object, Stephen had already moved to another side of the room.
"You..." Barry Allen quickly closed his hand, glaring at Stephen direction.
"No need to thank me!" Stephen waved his hand generously and smiled, meeting Barry's fiery gaze. "Want to know the identity of your mother's killer?"
"You know?" Barry Allen stared at Stephen, then turned his attention to the camera in Sisko's hand.
"Somebody saved you just now," Stephen said, smiling lightly.
"Saved him? So, you're saying it wasn't you who sent Barry back? It was the murderer who killed his mother?" Caitlin Snow asked in surprise.
Stephen smiled and motioned for Cisco Raymond to play the video.
It was a new camera, and it contained only one video.
The video started playing on the screen. It began with The Flash fighting Multiplex, Girder, and a teleporting female, showcasing The Flash's debut. The highlight came when Barry Allen was knocked out by Girder.
The Reverse Flash appeared!
"This is the murderer who killed your mother. His name is Reverse Flash, isn't it? Dr. Harrison Wells?" Stephen narrowed his eyes at Harrison Wells, who remained unfazed.
"Stephen, why are you accusing Dr. Wells?" Caitlin Snow asked, her voice trembling.
"Isn't it obvious from my behavior? Because you, Dr. Harrison Wells, is the Reverse Flash—the one who killed Barry's mother!"
