Chapter 113 Flash and Green Arrow Collab
The forlorn stubble, melancholic gaze, sturdy physique, coupled with the aura of wealth, the charisma of the Cannon King of Star City or Starling has not diminished, even in the heart of the city. Just as Barry Allen was waiting for his response with a hint of sadness, Iris approached with her coffee in hand.
"Barry, this is for you."
"Mr. Queen, here's your black coffee." Iris handed the coffee to the two of them while keeping her eyes fixed on Oliver Queen.
"Thank you," Oliver Queen nodded politely.
Iris turned to Barry and asked, "Can we talk for a moment?"
"Ah," Barry was taken aback, but he got up and followed Iris to the side.
"Pop!" Iris excitedly patted Barry Allen on the shoulder. "You know Oliver Queen, and you never told me?"
"I do know Oliver Queen," Barry Allen replied with a wry smile.
"Really? He's on my list," Iris whispered in excitement.
"List?" Barry Allen asked, confused. "What list?"
Iris gazed at Oliver Queen from a distance and explained, "Three men whom Eddie won't mind me sleeping with. They're the kind of people you rarely come across, and Oliver Queen is one of them. Oh, I can't even express how thrilled I am."
Barry Allen felt a pang of hurt as he observed Iris's excitement. They had grown up under the same roof and should have naturally been together. However, the particle accelerator explosion had left him in a coma for nine months, and when he woke up, Iris was already with someone else. He could only silently watch and feel the pain, and now Iris mentions a list.
Barry Allen didn't know what to say. "I... I'm going back now," he whispered, turning back to Oliver Queen.
As soon as he sat down, Barry overheard Oliver Queen saying, "I can help with this."
"What? No!" Barry Allen was still preoccupied with Iris's list, so when Oliver Queen made that statement, he instinctively declined.
Oliver Queen was taken aback. "You don't want me to?"
"Huh? No, I'm sorry. I was lost in thought just now. It would be great if you were willing to help," Barry Allen reacted with embarrassment and quickly apologized. "The three metahumans are causing a lot of trouble. Let me give you their details."
"I did some research before coming to Central City. If you want to solve the problems here, the three of them shouldn't be your primary targets," Oliver Queen said solemnly. "Stephen is the root cause of everything."
"But..." Barry Allen was torn. He knew Stephen was the source of everything, but even with his speed intact, he was no match for Stephen.
"Having abilities doesn't guarantee victory. Isn't your team working on helping you regain your speed? Maybe we can use that to set a trap," Oliver Queen confidently suggested.
Although Oliver Queen wanted to keep his identity a secret, the current situation required them to work together. Besides, Barry Allen already knew his true identity, so Oliver Queen accepted his invitation to S.T.A.R. Labs and met The Flash team, revealing his own identity. They began designing a trap to deal with Stephen.
Combining his strategic and tactical abilities with The Flash team's technology, they managed to complete the trap in just three days.
"Will this really be enough to trap him?"
Everyone in the basement gazed at the platform before them. Four pillars stood tall, seemingly impassable, but once activated, they would transform into an electronic barrier.
"Definitely, yes! We've installed numerous super capacitors, isolated the space on a molecular level, cleared the turning point, and..." Cisco Ramon crackled with excitement and delved into a sea of professional terms. Oliver Queen listened next to him, appearing confused.
"He means to say yes," Caitlin Snow translated.
Oliver Queen nodded in understanding.
"Then there's only one thing left: how do we lure him into the trap?" Barry Allen said solemnly.
A silence fell upon everyone.
What does Stephen like? What does he care about? What does he want? None of them seemed to have the answers.
Knowing oneself and the enemy leads to victory in every battle, but they knew nothing about Stephen.
Ordinary people can profile someone's character based on their behavior, but... Stephen? Even Hollow Didn't knew what he was thinking.
"Reverse Flash," Harrison Wells suddenly interjected. "He's highly interested in the Reverse Flash and believes that the Reverse Flash is causing him trouble, so... the Reverse Flash is our best bait."
"But where do we find the Reverse Flash?" Cisco Ramon blurted out instinctively.
As soon as he finished speaking, he realized the gaze of both Caitlin and Barry turned to Harrison Wells.
"This is too risky," Cisco Raymond objected without thinking.
"Although I don't know why he thinks I am the Reverse Flash, it's the only way to lure him into the trap," Harrison Wells said to Caitlin Snow. "Contact him and find a way to bring him here."
"Everyone, prepare yourselves."
A moment of silence followed. Caitlin Snow made a call, Oliver Queen double-checked the traps he had set, and then hurried to the corner of the roof, setting an arrow on the bow, keeping an eye on Dr. Harrison Wells in the wheelchair. Once in the trap, as soon as Stephen appeared, Oliver would release the arrow to extract Harrison Wells, and then activate the electronic fence trap of some kind.
Cisco Ramon turned and focused on monitoring the situation, while Barry Allen stood before the switch that activated the electronic fence, waiting patiently.
"Everyone, he's here."
Cisco Ramon had just taken his position when he saw a streak of red lightning rush in from outside. The people below only heard Cisco Ramon's warning that the red lightning had arrived.
The atmosphere instantly became tense.
"This time, I won't give you a gift in haste. I'll double it next time," Stephen looked around, smiled at Barry Allen, and then turned his gaze to Harrison Wells on the fence. "Caitlin said you confessed your true identity? That's not like something you would do."
Harrison Wells slowly took off his glasses, but his usually smiling face now displayed a cold expression.
This acting is incredible.
"You don't know what I'm capable of because I will always be one step ahead of you, whether it's The Flash or you!" Harrison Wells said coldly.
