Chapter 122 Emergence of a Butterfly

Chapter 122 Emergence of a Butterfly

Observing Laurel's slightly angry squint, Stephen asked with a chuckle, "Hey, Do you like me?"

"Huh? No, definitely not... Weren't we talking about Oliver and Black Arrow? Why are you getting involved?" Laurel instantly denied it, successful in conveying her intentions. Felicity quickly shook her head to make sure she wasn't misunderstood.

Felicity pursed her lips but remained silent.

"Why are you spouting nonsense? When did I ever like you?" Laurel asked Stephen angrily.

"Really? Maybe I was mistaken." Stephen innocently shrugged, somewhat disappointed, and said to Laurel, "So... you don't like me?"

"I..." Laurel intended to say yes, I didn't like you . However, the words that reached her lips refused to come out, as if her mouth was glued shut. When did this kind of relationship start? Was it when Stephen trained her? Maybe it was when Stephen disappeared, or perhaps... Discussing Stephen together every day, unknowingly, he had taken a place in her heart.

Stephen became a topic discussed among the three women of the Birds of Prey. Every time they talked about Stephen, Laurel didn't feel anything out of the ordinary. Even when Felicity returned from Central City to discuss Stephen, Laurel was merely happy, believing they were finally getting closer to discovering the murderer. However, when Stephen kissed Felicity and hugged her, Laurel realized her feelings for him might not be so simple after all.

Hehehe.

Stephen's laughter suddenly interrupted Laurel's thoughts, making her instantly realize that it was not the right time to space out. Wasn't she expressing her true feelings for Stephen in front of Felicity? She hurriedly wanted to argue, but Stephen suddenly activated the Speed Force to retrieve the body bag containing Harrison Wells' body.

"I'm leaving."

"Felicity, take a good look at her. She might like me, haha." As his voice trailed off, a red light illuminated the area.

Stephen disappeared.

Laurel wanted to scream, but no sound came. Felicity couldn't help but feel both amused and frustrated.

"He deceived me," Laurel angrily told Felicity.

Felicity replied with a faint smile, "It's not all that surprising, right? Maybe I really should pay more attention."

"Felicity!" Embarrassed, Laurel rushed towards Felicity and a little argument ensued.

Does Laurel like Stephen?

She knew that Felicity could probably guess to what extent. As for Stephen? It didn't matter whether he knew or not; he wasn't someone who needed others to like him.

Leaving the Birds of Prey headquarters, Stephen first took Harrison Wells' body to the room next and talked to Thea Queen's after returning.

"Were you pursuing another woman again? Did you go to the Birds of Prey headquarters to pursue both?"

Stephen casually sat down next to Thea Queen, and she approached, sniffing curiously. "Is there a feud between the Huntress, the Birds of Prey team, because of you? I've heard that there are several people in the Birds of Prey team. Are you involved with them?"

"Little kids shouldn't gossip," Stephen said casually.

"Are you going to belittle me even now, I'm no longer a kid? Tell me, how did you become connected with the Birds of Prey team and the Huntress? They're legends in Star City, you know," Thea Queen continued disdainfully. The gossip had begun.

Although some people may disagree, rebellious girls like Thea Queen are very intrigued.

Maybe not solely due to an overwhelming sense of justice, but... it's cool!

Unfortunately, Thea Queen had a bodyguard at home every day, so she never had a chance to see them either.

Seeing her excited expression, Stephen laid down and suddenly pulled her onto his body. Being close, Thea Queen wasn't too nervous.

"What?" she asked.

"You have two choices: either stay quiet and obediently be my pillow, and I'll take you to Central City tomorrow, or I can take you to next door where you can sleep alone," Stephen said.

"Next door? I don't care. Do you really think I'm little kid who can't sleep alone?" Thea Queen said disapprovingly.

"Really? Before I returned, there I put a dead body next door, which is over ten years. If you're not scared, I can send you there." Stephen was about to get up, but Thea Queen quickly held him tightly. "No, don't. I won't go. I won't be able to sleep if I. don't!"

"Are you trying to take advantage of me?" Feeling Thea Queen pressed against him, Stephen playfully pinched her butt and teased, "Are you trying to take advantage of me?"

Looking up at each other, their breaths and heartbeats could be clearly heard. There was a hint of shyness and tension in Thea Queen's green eyes, along with a faint anticipation and fear.

Her makeup had already been removed, revealing her slightly prominent nose and slender cheeks, radiating a captivating charm. Her lips trembled gently, as if nervously anticipating something.

"Do you want to try something more exhilarating than drugs?" Stephen said softly.

Badam! Badam!, heat washed over them, With red cheeks as Thea Queen closed her eyes with an inaudible hum.

Rain and Thunder, the waves raged.

Maybe she had been courageous from the start, or perhaps the battle between Stephen and Helena had been too astonishing.

Thea Queen was like a butterfly wanting to emerge from its cocoon, eager to understand this new world and display her beauty. The timid calf dared to face the tiger. Despite her slender frame, she fearlessly fought against the winds, her small body surprising with its endurance and resilience.

In the midst of the violent winds, she fearlessly met the roaring tempest head-on.

Eventually, the winds began to subside.

Though she felt devastated and exhausted, she also experienced sensations she had never felt within the cocoon. Like a Raindrops kissed her face after the fierce wind, and a satisfied smile adorned her lips.

"I think I understand why the Huntress despises you yet chooses to be with you," Thea Queen slowly raised her finger and pointed towards her arm. "This is even more intoxicating than being drunk!"

Stephen responded earnestly, "I think you should take a shower first."

"Just a little longer," Thea Queen whispered.

After resting for nearly half an hour, Thea Queen rose to take a bath, walking with a gait remarkably similar to Helena's. Half an hour later, Thea Queen returned and fell asleep once again in Stephen's arms...
