He looked worried and a bit guilty. Well, he should be he didn't come to see me when I woke up. I just look the other side and pretend as if he was not there as he sat beside me. He sighs,
"Look Luna, I know I didn't come to see you when you woke up I just didn't know how to talk to you," he says.
A chuckle escapes my mouth and I look at him, "You didn't know how to talk to me or you got afraid of the past?" I ask.
"W..what do you mean?" he asks.
"You know what I mean Blake. I know you know the truth. That day you lied to me and you hid the past. My past!" I answer.
"Luna look...I'm sorry. I was afraid you would go back to him," sounding miserable and dejected. He looked genuine, "I'm sorry love," he whisper as he strokes my cheek with his thumb.
Even though I was pissed I couldn't help but bury my face against his chest. He embraces me and nosed my neck, his body very close to mine. I felt my body quiver as he let his aura push against my own, making me relax. He stroked my hair and rubbed my back in soothing motions. I held onto him tightly, for dear life, being in his arms, I didn't want to let him go, he was mine and I was his, but what Adonis had said earlier made me wonder why my life was turning this way.
I just wanted my life back where werewolves, vampires, and witches were all myths and legends. I wanted to have my life back with my friends. Of course, I'm okay with Blake being my soulmate but I just didn't want it this way. 'I'll kill him, every person you and he adores in front of you' Adonis' words echo in my head.
"Shh Luna, what's up?" he asked in his soft and gentle tone.
"I...I Ad..adonis t..told me that...," I stutter.
I couldn't get it out, I was crying too much.
"What did he tell you Luna?" he asks, sounding like he didn't want to ask that question, nor hear the answer to it.
I feel his aura again calming me down. "He said that he will come back for me when I turn eighteen and he said if you interfere he will kill you and everyone else who is dear to us. He will activate my vampire genes," I tell him.
"I'll mark you," he told me.
I shook my head. I was still crying, my hands fisted in the back of his shirt, my face wetting the fabric. "He said it won't work," I tell him.
"There must be a way," he whispers, sounding oh so very sad, "We will find one". He lets out his aura even more making me feel sleepy. I fall asleep wishing this would be just a dream.
It seemed like I was asleep for a long time. I wake up in my room. Chintico was humming a tune as she floated in the air playing with a fireball. "Good Morning sleepy head," she says.
"Hey Chant," I say.
"Hurry go take a shower," she says. I chuckle a bit and say, "I don't feel like moving, can't you do a bathing spell".
"Darling, I don't get along with water but here, let me do you a favor," she snaps her finger and the next thing I knew I was falling inside the bathtub. The water wasn't hot or cold, it was just the right temperature.
I bathe and go out with just a drying towel on. Chantico was no more in the room but she left me a note. 'Gone for detention. Love ya' was written on it.
'That girl,' I say as I smile.
I put on my uniform and tie my hair into a low puff and twist it into a bun. I go out of the room to be greeted by Blake.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
He scratches his head and replies, "I'm here to get you".
"This is a girl's dorm," I tell him putting my arms over my chest.
"I know, they are out for their lessons so I decided to come here. You need to go and see the nurse before you start your lesson," he explains.
"Okay, thanks," I tell him walking out past him.
He stops me and pushes me onto the wall pinning me there. "You're still angry," he says. He didn't sound angry but somewhat sad. "I apologize, Luna, I'm sorry," he says.
I could sense his sadness or maybe guilt. "It's not that," I say pushing him away, "I just need time alone".
I needed some time for myself, time to adjust to the drastic changes that have happened so far. Time away from here. He sighs and asks, "Do you know where to go?".
"I'll find my way," I say.
I didn't know but I didn't want him to help me get there. 'At least he understood,' I say.
'You can't stay away from alpha,' Minsi tells me.
'How are you so sure?' I ask in annoyance.
'The longer you stay away from each other, the next time when you guys meet, lust will be in the air,' she tells me.
'Shut up Minsi,' I growl.
She just giggles as her tail swayed up and down. I walk away leaving Blake standing in the hallway.
I walk down the hallway as I look around looking for Mrs. Beth's office. This school sure is big. I try remembering the paths we went through during the tour but I couldn't because I wasn't paying attention. I have been wandering the school grounds looking for her office. 'If only I could make that fucking door appear,' I think in fatigue.
As I turn right I expect another hallway with dozen of doors but instead, I bumped into a wall.
"Ouch," I whisper as I rub the pain away.
I look to see a frame 'The Principal's Office' written on the paper inside it.
'Wow, magic does exist,' I think.
'Of course, it does, What am I?' Minsi replies.
'An animal in my head,' I reply.
She growls and I growl back making her shut up.
I enter the room to find it dark. 'Why is it dark?' I ask myself.
I look out the window and I see a moon. 'Moon!?' I think, 'Isn't it morning'.
I turn around to find the door I had entered through gone. 'What the heck'. I was confused.
I walk down the hallway looking for a torch or light switch but I couldn't find one. I continue walking hoping I don't find any monsters -if they exist.
'Of course, monsters exist. If there are witches and vampires then monsters exist,' Minsi tells me.
'Not helping Minsi,' I tell her.
She just chuckles and lies down. I hear footsteps from behind me and they were getting closer. I could smell him, 'Adonis'.
Minsi frowns and says, 'Walk fast!'.
'Even if I do, it won't help he's a vampire remember,' I tell her.
'You're also a vampire'.
'But at the moment I'm a werewolf'.
'Well do something and get us out of here.
'Why don't you do something, only sitting in there letting me do the walking'.
She scoffs and lays her head back down. I hid behind something I think is a vase and wait for him to go but I feel a hand on my shoulders. I get up to run away but I'm stopped by a hand around my wrist. "Let me go, you monster," I said shoving the hand off but I couldn't.
The next thing I know I'm pinned on the wall starting straight into bright crimson eyes. "What are you doing here?" I'm asked.
The voice sounded like Adonis' and for sure it is him. "You forgot you brought me here," I say, "You took me when I was entering the Principal's Office".
"I did not," he replies as his eyes narrow at me, "You need to go. It's not safe for you to stay here. It's a full moon today," he pauses and looks around, "The portals will be disconnected soon. Come".
He grabs my wrist and drags me to I don't know where. Because I couldn't see through the dark and the fact that Minsi was in no mood to help me I bump into a few stuff as I walked before he carried me.
"I was gifted legs to walk by myself," I say.
"I know but I had mercy on those legs of yours. You'll lose one if I don't," he says looking me straight in the eye. I keep my mouth shut as he continued.
He turns a dozen times and at times I felt him shiver a bit as his eyes shone brighter. "We need to be quick, it's almost time," he whispers his voice a little shaky, "Can you handle a little speed?".
I do not think twice and nod. "Well hold on tight," he instructs me and I do as he says. I wrap my arms around his neck making sure I don't lose my grip and I press my head on his hard stomach. He felt warm for a vampire. He began to increase his speed and within minutes we stopped. "Hurry, go in," he says putting me down.
He opens what seemed like a door and as I was getting in I hit a wall. "Is this a prank?" I ask feeling anger making my blood boil.
"No no no no," he whispers, "They disconnected the fucking portal".
He takes my hand in his and out of nowhere I was in a room. At least it had a bit of light. He takes out a can and hands it to me, "I guess you are staying the night," he says with a grin on his face.
"Excuse me!" I yell.
"Anyway after every 30 minutes spray this on the spot your aura comes from it will covert it up and prevent the vampires from finding you. Keep the door locked, don't open the door no matter what until the sun rises," he explains.
"You are leaving me here!?".
"I have to, if I don't I'll only hurt you," he sounded sad for some reason, "Promise you'll stay here and do as I said".
I just nod my head trying to stop the tears that attempted to come out. He opens the door and as he was about to leave he says some words I didn't get but I see my body glow a bit. He closes the door and I run to lock it. I take some chairs and a much and place them on the door to be secure. I make sure the windows are closed and I go and check the bathroom windows too.
'Should I lock it too' I ask Minsi.
'I think you should, the windows don't seem strong,' she replies and I lock the door securing it with chairs and a dressing table.
I sit on the couch and spray the part where my aura comes from. I felt Minsi withdraw it from coming out as she lay down.
'It's just me and you in this game of life and death huh Minsi,' I say.
'We'll be fine,' she reassures me.
'How are you so sure?' I ask.
'Let's just say that's a power I have. To predict the future,' she winks at me with a smirk on her face.
I roll my eyes at her and lie down.
