20. The call
Ashley's POV
"I love you too babe" I said as I pulled her in for a hug, I felt really guilty for making her spill something that probably still hurts her, I should have known better that she kept it to herself for an important reason, damn fuck me.
It was already getting late so Michelle and I decided to take a stroll and get some fresh air, as we walked while holding each other's hands Michelle's phone rang from her pocket, she brought it out and looked at the caller ID and I saw a frown appear on her face as she slide the phone back into her pocket, I really wanted to ask about it but I held myself back cause I felt that if I was supposed to know she would tell me I thought as I held her hand tightly which made her smile sheepishly, Michelle really loves body contact and she's making me like it too, I never really liked body contact before, I find it quite disturbing and unnecessary but ever since I met Michelle I have started to like it and as of now I think I do like it more than Michelle will ever like it.
After strolling for some time we found a small restaurant so we decided to have our dinner there before heading back, as we stepped in we noticed a few people around and the were all paired and I thought to myself "is this a restaurant for just lovers" I giggled at myself, well this place actually look cool and romantic, its good a thing we came here I thought to myself as I smiled widely in excitement while dragging Michelle towards an empty table, as we settled down and placed our order I heard Michelle's phone ring again which she brought out and sighed as she saw the caller and slide the phone back into her pocket and this time around I really can't play the ignorant game "babe who's that? And why does it seem like your avoiding the person's call?" I asked hoping she would be sincere with me, i mean she has to, Michelle has always been open to me concerning who calls her and who texts her throughout our dating period I doubt if she will start now to start hiding things from me, "it's nobody important babe and by the way I'm with you, I just want to focus on you right now...I will check what the caller wants later, I'm sure it isn't important", she said as she rubbed my hand softly while pecking it a little at the back, I didn't get the chance to react to that except that I know that I'm blushing sheepishly now as the waiter came in with our order.
After eating we decided to take a cab back to Michelle's lodge yea I'm sleeping over tonight and I'm really excited lols I know I shouldn't be cause it's not the first time but whenever I'm with Michelle everything feels new, as we reached her lodge Michelle rushed to the rest room immediately, I guess whatever we ate upset her stomach, after a few minutes Michelle wasn't out yet I was about to check on her as I heard her phone ring again and I went to it, to know who keeps calling as I checked the caller ID as expected the number wasn't saved so I ignored it, if it was important Michelle would have saved the number, as I turned around to get back to Michelle the phone rang again this time around I was really pissed as I went to where the phone was kept and picked the call but I didn't say a word cause my mum used to tell me that these days human traffickers were using black magic to get there prey so if I pick an unknown caller's call and talk first the might use my voice and get me lols I know that's hilarious but I believe my mum and duhhh it's better to be safe than sorry, as I waited for the caller to speak first I was running out of patience as I was about to end the call the caller finally spoke "hey babe why aren't you talking and why haven't you been picking my calls" as I heard the voice I ended the call immediately, that voice was familiar, that was Racheal's voice...why tf will she be calling Michelle, does she want her back?, I thought as I sat quietly on the bed suddenly feeling cold and nervous and scared and many more emotions that I can't fathom, this better not be what I'm thinking.
