Her Strength was now more in line with her Agility, and her Dexterity also helped in improving her movement. Lastly, her Insight stat increased her reaction time and battle awareness.

The Goblin Chief, having realized she was no ordinary opponent, ordered the whole pack to attack the assailant. A total of sixty goblin warriors rushed towards her with scream and shrieks. Although she had killed many of them, there were still a huge number of them left.

The Goblin Chief himself led the charge. He swung his bone mace with great strength towards her head. Freya avoided the mace and attacked the smaller goblins following behind him. She easily beheaded the slower goblins and kept moving to prevent them from surrounding her.

She was about to end the life of another goblin when she had to jump back. A mace fell on her previous location, cracking the earth beneath it. The chief pulled out his mace and rushed at her, ferociously swinging his mace. His eyes red with fury and a vague red mist rising from his skin.

'Bloodlust.' Art instantly recognized the skill, 'Be careful, if he can use that skill, he must be a high level creature.'

Freya used her sword to block the mace but was surprising pushed back a little. She swung her sword with all her strength, trying to suppress the raging goblin, but he wasn't alone as her senses warned her of an approaching attack, causing her to swiftly retreat. An ice spike passed where her head was a moment ago.

A rain of arrows was launched by the goblin archers, forcing her to keep moving. The goblin chief continued to chase, not leaving her any room to breathe. Whenever she crossed blades with the chief, she had to allow a few arrows through her defense to avoid the mace, but her leather armor defended her effectively. The shaman also continued to attack her with spells, forcing her to reply with her own, dividing her attention in multiple places.

Luckily, the goblin army was also spread out a lot, allowing her to thin their numbers with a few spells. The clash of her spells with the shaman's spells were also causing a lot of injuries to their ranks.

However, the shaman persisted as an annoyance. Whenever she saw an opening through the chief's attack and went to deliver the killing blow, a spell from the shaman would cause her to retreat. And whenever she tried to cast a high tier spell to deal with the shaman, the chief will increase his ferocity, stopping her mid-cast.

The two had formed a synergy that prevented her from dealing with them. Freya also stopped them from taking any rest. She would use her spells to keep the shaman busy, wasting her mana. Also attack the goblin warriors whenever the chief tried to retreat, forcing him to defend his subordinates.

The weird deadlock continued for a while as the number of goblins continued to decrease. The surrounding fire ring continued to stop them from escaping. The Bloodlust skill of the Goblin chief was limited to boost, and he soon began to run out of steam. It allowed Freya to push him back and deal a few cuts with her sword.

Freya herself was not in much better condition, as she was also covered by cuts caused by arrows that had managed to pierce her armor in some weak spots. The Goblin Chief was exhausted after using his skill for such a long time, and the shaman had also almost out of mana.

The surrounding goblin had also been reduced to a small amount. The archers were completely dead, while the remaining warriors refused to approach Freya in fear. The previous warriors that tried to intervene in the duel were either mercilessly cut down by Freya or crush by the rampaging mace of the goblin chief. Out of more than eighty goblins, only twenty remained.

Freya quickly rushed at the exhausted chief and attacked with even greater ferocity. Due to the bonus objective of the quest, she couldn't use magic against the chief, or she would have dealt with him sooner.

She continued to wound the goblin chief as he tried to avoid or block the attacks. The shaman tried to help, but with her last remaining mana, she could no longer cast any powerful spell. Freya continued or block the weak spells with her sword.

Midway through slaughtering the goblin army, she had levelled up. She instantly invested the newly gained stat points in her stamina, alleviating her exhaustion. She continued to slash and thrust her sword, and the injuries on the goblin chief continued to accumulate. The mage finally got an opening as one of her cuts caused the larger goblin to drop his mace.

Freya instantly rushed behind his back and used all her strength to cut off his head. Seeing the dead body of their chief, the goblins began to run away, even throwing themselves into the fire to get away from the monster that had annihilated their whole community. Unfortunately, the flame was a second circle spell that was boosted by Freya's trait. As soon as they touched the flame, they were tuned into ash.

Freya had surprisingly levelled up once more after killing the chief. She promptly scanned the battlefield to find her second target. The shaman having seen her chief die was also trying to escape. She was standing at the edge of the fire ring, using the last of her mana to create a pathway through the flame and escape.

Freya noticed the shaman trying to escape, immediately cast a spell to stop her attempt.

"Lightning Flash!"

A small stream of electricity erupted from her hand and flew towards the shaman. The female goblin instantly noticed the fluctuation in mana and turned around to summon an earth barrier, using her staff to stop the attack. The stream of electricity collided with the earthen barrier and destroyed it in a blast. Still, the barrier did its job and the shaman succeeded in avoiding the spell. The goblin held onto her staff and channeled all her remaining mana into it. A moment later, a large bolt of lightning emerged from the staff and flew towards Freya.

Freya, seeing the electric current rushing towards her, did something that an old opponent of hers had done in the past. She pulled her sword in front of her and stabbed it into the ground. The large metal sword acted as a conductor and attracted the lightning towards itself. The spell hit the spell and safely dissipated into the ground.

Freya prepared her own spell in retaliation, "Lightning Bolt!" Another bolt appeared on the battlefield. However, this one was far larger than the previous one and jumped through the air with even more ferocity.

The Shaman tried to jump out of its way, but she was too slow. The spell hit her dead in the chest, and she died on the spot.

The Shaman's staff appeared in her hand, which she placed on her backpack before recovering her sword.

Having completed her bonus objective, she instantly got her bonus reward, but the primary objective still remained. She looked back at the remaining goblins that scrambling to get away from her, some even went back into the den to escape her.

Unfortunately for them, there was no escape for them. Freya began to quickly slaughter the remaining goblins. She placed a wet rag across her face and lit a small flame before entering the den to kill the last of them and recover the goods they had stolen.

She came across the last few goblins that remained and easily beheaded them. With her primary objective completed, she gained the rest of her rewards.

She had reached level 18, only two levels away from her aim. She searched the den until she found the room where goblins had hoarded the good they had stolen. The room was filled with wine bottles, expensive clothes and other trading goods but Freya was looking for any stuff that she may find useful but found none. She just left the den and sealed up the final entrance with a spell. She would report the location to the guild, and they will send someone to recover the goods.

Freya then collected the heads of the goblin chief and also cut the shamans head. She also collected a single ear from the corpses of the goblins as proof. After all, she may have enough silver coins, but she was not going to give up 100 silver coins after going through so much trouble. She put them on a piece of cloth and wrapped them in a bundle. She finally deactivated her fire ring spell and fire died down. Furthermore, she picked up the bundle and began to walk back to the city.
