"B'luta! Noo!" the huge Orc shouted and threw his iron mace trying to save his friend. Alas, it was too late, the sword had already impaled his head and he was no more. The mace flew through the air towards B'luta killers, but the two females abandoned their positions, avoiding the attack.
R'unda ran towards them in rage, trying to grab the two of them, but a pair of arrows hit his legs and pinned him to the ground. Maria also rushed towards him, brandishing two sharp daggers. The monster tried to grab her, but her speed was too much from him.
She stopped behind and with two swift movements of her hands, cut off his Achilles' tendons, causing the orc to fall face-first into the ground. The green monster quickly searched the ground for something to grab and throw at the dark assassin. Unfortunately for him, as he searched, Freya's steel sword came down on his hand. The sword penetrated his thick hand and pinned it to the ground as well.
The Orc screamed in pain and anger as he tried to grab the girl with his one free hand, "I will kill you, you b*tch. I will tear you to pieces!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. Freya on the other hand easily avoided his desperate attempts to catch her, and delivered a thundering kick to his jaw that completely silenced him. Freya didn't stop at that, however, as at that moment Maria threw her dagger at her and she quickly used to stab his other hand to the ground, completely disabling his movements.
"Finally, we caught this idiot." Alex arrived a moment later with his bow in hand. He had been responsible for slowing down the captured orc, while his teammates dealt with the fast one. In fact, he could have killed the orc long ago, if not for the plan to capture him. An orc's skin may be tough, but Alex still knew where to aim for the killing blow.
"Now, which of you two beauties is going to interrogate him?" the only man asked with toothy grin.
"Allow me." Maria spoke as she got on his back and pulled up his head from his hair before smashing it back on the ground, waking him up.
"You B*tch. I'll kill you!" the monster shouted as soon he woke up from the pain. Maria punched him across the face to stop him from continuing and held her other dagger against his throat before speaking in low threatening tone.
"Keep your tongue silent, if you want to keep it scum." Maria threatened as she pressed the dagger into his throat, drawing a drop of green blood. "Now, if you want to live, speak only to answer my questions. Where is your leader hiding?"
"In your dreams, you worm. I won't answer a single question of you weak scum." The orc cursed as he spat on the ground.
Maria didn't respond with words, but smashed his face into the spit on the ground. In fact, she didn't stop at one, but smashed it two more times for good measure. "As I said, you scum, only to answer my question. Now, where is he?"
"Cough-, I'd rather die –cough - than betray my kind. –cough, cough." The Orc barely replied between coughs of blood. His whole body was in miserable condition. His legs filled with bloody arrows, his tendons bleeding from the cut and both his hands nailed to the ground.
"Kill me, -cough- so that I join my ancestor. My leader –cough - he will avenge me for sure." He coughed another liter of green blood on the ground. Maria looked at her companions with a questioning gaze. She was proficient in interrogating human, but this was her first time questioning an orc and he was proving to be too stubborn.
'She is doing it wrong.' Art spoke to Freya as she saw the bloody scene. 'To threaten someone, you have to know what they value. Orcs do not fear death, but welcome it.'
'Then what do they fear?' Freya asked quickly before the orc died of blood loss. He was their last source on information and they still had nothing.
'They fear dishonor above death.' Art answered wisely, 'These battle hungry beasts think they will only enter the hall of ancestor if they die an honorable death. So follow my instructions, and this weakling will sing like a bird.'
A treacherous smile appeared on Freya's face, she heard her partner's plan. Although normally, she would avoid using such tactics against a beaten enemy and completely reject the idea of this heartless mage but she still remembered the tales of cruelty, she had heard from the villagers during her stay.
She quickly walked towards his head and seeing her approach, Maria passed her dagger to the swordswoman, who grabbed the dagger and held up his head from his hair and spoke, "You see that worthless piece of sh*t there." She pointed to his dead partner with her dagger and continued, "He died an honorable death or more like a dog's death but he will still meet his ancestors."
Freya looked back at him as she played with the dagger with an ice cold glint in her eyes. She brought the dagger to his face and traced the outline of his face as she spoke, "You, on the other hand, I don't think you are so lucky. In fact, I will be sure to humiliate you in front of the people you harmed. I will cut off your limbs and make sure you die of old age, rotting in dark cellar, than on a battlefield."
"You wouldn't dare." The orc growled through his bloody mouth as anger flashed across his face but he couldn't fool Freya. She has recognized the small flash of fear that had appeared in his eyes for just a moment.
"No, in fact, I got a better idea." Freya flashed him a cruel smile. "How about I cut off your manhood and hang it around your head. Then I will hang you from Havenfall's gate so that your friends could see what weak and useless orc you are. I am sure they will see you as disgrace to their kind. Do you think your ancestors will accept you after that?"
The small sliver of fear that had appeared before, had now grown into complete terror on his face. Such a humiliating death was the worst fate for an orc. He could still take his own life, but that was barely better than a humiliating death. R'unda's anger finally vanished as a desperate look replaced it.
Seeing her threats take effect, the woman calmly spoke, "Of course if you answer our questions, I'll give you a quick honorable death."
"And why should I trust you?" The orc finally asked after a few moments of silence. His eyes still skeptical of the dangerous woman in front of him.
"Because at this moment I have complete power over your life and you have no choice but to trust my word." Freya whispered with a confident look in her eyes. Both, Maria and Alex looked at the girl in surprise. They had never expected her to be so witty and commanding. They felt a mixture of pride and fear as they looked at the usually soft spoken and innocent looking girl, so easily dominating a beast of an orc.
R'unda fearfully looked at the human shaped monster in front of him before finally deciding to betray his leader. He wasn't even that loyal, but only followed that Orc for glory and loot. He remembered the first command of their god, 'Honor before all.'
"Well then, sing for me, small orc." Freya spoke in a menacing tone.
