Jeera lazily looked at the fight going on in front of him. The human female was quite evenly matched with Nazbur, but the Orc came out just a little ahead. The deceptive swings of his spear managed to injure the female badly and he continued his attack with renewed vigor. Then all of a sudden, the situation changed. In a blink of an eye, the human female cast an explosive spell that separated the two of them and threw them in opposite directions.
His lazy eyes became sharp at the sudden turn of events. Within the span of a few seconds, the woman manage to separate herself from Nazbur, and two spells later, his decapitated body lay on the ground as the female roared into the sky.
'Knightmage!' The word unconsciously came to his mind but he immediately banished it from his thoughts. Her swordsmanship was mediocre at best and she could not even use aura, how could she deserve such a mighty title, but what she did deserve was his attention.
Apart from him, two people were even more surprised than him on the battlefield. Kara and Ariane, the only other mages on the battlefield, were in shock at the sudden show of power. Freya had only used three first circle spells, yet their power was something on another level. The two mages were lost for words at the intensive energy of a simple fireball that managed to burn half the body of a seven feet tall orc, when it had landed a meter away.
Back on the battlefield, Freya's triumphant roar finally receded. Every cell in her body felt as if it had been liberated after months of confinement. The moment she used her first spell against the orc, a familiar feeling of adrenaline coursed through her body and she remembered that she was a mage at heart and not a swordswoman.
All that time, when she fought without magic, she had felt as if she had been fighting with one hand bound behind her back and a blindfold across her eyes.
'Finally! I've missed this feeling.' She inwardly shouted at the refreshing feeling of mana. 'Why in hell would you force me to fight without my most powerful resource?' Her question was targeted towards the ancient soul that she harbored.
'Because I want you to grow stronger than you can even imagine.' The ancient mage answered with a hint of irritation in his voice. 'But this is not the time for arguments, focus on the battlefield. We will discuss this later.'
Freya understood his intentions and turned to the headless body of an orc lying a few feet away from her. Her eyes flew to the wooden spear in his hand. She had been curious all through the fight at how a mere wooden spear was able to withstand her steel sword without so much as a scratch.
She slowly walked towards the corpse and calmly liberated the spear from his cold hands. Just as she picked up the spear, a blue appeared, only for her to see.

Just as she was about to retreat with the spear in hand, a couple of orcs rushed towards her. She instantly readied her weapon, expecting an attack, but the ice mage at the forefront raised her hands.
"We only want to recover his body." The mage replied to her aggression. "You can keep the spear, as it is yours by right."
The Orcs quickly picked up the corpse and the head as carefully as possible. They proceeded to carry the body back to their ranks in the distance, where they vanished from sight. Freya waited for them to be a safe distance away before she retreated back to her teammates.
Ariane pulled out a set of bandages from a small bag on her waist and quickly ran to her to treat her wounded hand. "Great fight." She congratulated the warrior, "You used the spells quite cleverly."
"Thanks." Freya thanked her both for her help with the cut and the compliment.
As the two chatted, Alex also approached the duo and spoke, "Congrats on the victory, Freya. You sure taught that scum who's the boss."
The archer of the team was unexpectedly without his signature bow, and instead held a long steel spear in one hand and a round shield in the other. "Can I borrow your spear for this fight?" he looked at the Orichalcum spear that she held with desire. "It would be better than my steel spear."
Freya simply nodded and tossed him the red spear. The hunter caught the Orichalcum spear after letting his steel spear fall to the ground. "Thanks and cheer for me, girls. This will be over before you know it."
His confident voice left them as he approached the midpoint between the two rows of warrior. From the other side, a female orc riding a gray and white wolf approached the battlefield, followed by two ferocious looking wolves.
Roya, the beast tamer, came forward riding a growling wolf with an air of confidence. On her back, she held a small wood and bone bow. The two warriors came to halt about ten meters from each other.
The orc female shouted something in her tongue which the human male to understand but he did reply in snarky voice, "Sorry, my lady but I'm not into Orc girls. I'm afraid you have to look elsewhere."
The tamer also failed to understand his answer, but nonetheless she pulled out her small bow and notched an arrow. With a small whistle from her, the two wolves to her side began to encircle the human male, approaching him from opposite sides.
Alex also got into position, holding up his shield to his chest and the red spear over the shield in a perfect stance.
