Beast Hunter Vs Beast Tamer.

Alex held the spear and the shield close to his chest as the two wolves began to surround him. He eyes focused on the female orc that also slowly began to encircle him, while keeping a careful gaze on her tamed animals from a corner of his eyes.

The encircling wolves growled at him, but refuse to attack until their mistress ordered them to. Suddenly, a whistle was heard and Alex's eyes rapidly flashed across his opponents to find the attackers. As soon as his eyes fell on the wolf to his right, it lunged at his face, ready to tear it apart.

Alex brought up his round metal shield to block the attack as quickly as he could. The wolf crashed against the shield and tried to climb over it to reach its target, but Alex pushed him off easily. Another whistle pierced through the air, prompting Alex to swiftly turn around and block another gaping maw aimed at his neck.

This time, however, the hunter didn't remain in the same place and rolled away from the spot, while parrying the lunging attack. Merely a second later, an arrow struck the location where his feet were just now. Alex was an archer himself, and his expansive experience allowed him to judge and dodge the arrows of his opponent.

As soon as he recovered from his roll, he expertly threw his red spear at the wolf that was still in the air. The flying beast was unable to dodge, and the spear pierced its front thigh and pinned it to the ground. Unfortunately, before Alex could take advantage of his successful attack, the second wolf jumped on him at once.

The hunter failed to react in time, as he expected a whistle to accompany the attack. The wolf opened his huge jaw, aiming to snap onto his neck. Alex desperately tried to grab the open maw, but the wolf latched onto his forearm instead. Huge fangs dug into his arm and drew blood. The wolf twisted his neck, trying to cleave off his hand in its jaw.

The human warrior forced himself through the pain and rammed the side of his metal shield in to the wolf's head, forcing it to let go. The hunter rammed the shield once more into the beast's head, disorienting the retreating beast even further.

The archer then quickly readjusted his shield to his back, trying to block the incoming arrow that his instincts told him would be there. And he was right, but his reaction speed was a bit late. However, his small movement allowed him to avoid a fatal blow as the arrow aimed at his heart embedded itself into his shoulder.

The hunter growled at the sudden pain but he didn't stop his steps, using his free hand to snap the arrow stem as he continued to rush towards his weapon. The wolf tamer also rushed towards her tamed wolf towards her injured pet trying to save its life, notching another arrow in her bow and aiming at the running human.

Alex deliberately ran unpredictably, causing her arrows to miss entirely. The Orc female cursed in her tongue, urging her steed to run faster but she was too far behind. Her other wolf had recently recovered its bearing but it was still not in the state to desperately rush after the human.

As a result, Alex managed to reach the pinned wolf long before the other two. He smashed its head with his shield, rattling its brain inside its head. The hunter then pulled out his spear from its injured leg and used it to penetrate its heart, all under a second. The wolf died on the spot.

He was not done yet, as he looked back to find two more wolf running at him, growling in anger. The orc, riding one of them, was also filled with rage as she saw her pets murdered so casually. In their anger, the beasts failed to notice traps set for them by the human. After all, hunters are best when it comes to their traps.

The second wolf that was running to save its partner stepped on a small obsidian rock that was covered with dirt. A neon blue glow of a rune shaped mark appeared on the rock before an explosion of mist covered the whole figure of the wolf. The mist dispersed a moment later to reveal the wolf, its lower body and legs covered in a thick layer of frost. The wolf struggled to break free from the ice and even somewhat succeeded as the ice was slowly being covered in cracks.

Still, the few moments that its movements were halted, Alex once more grabbed his spear from its hilt and threw it with all his might. The Orichalcum spear sailed through the air until it reached the growling wolf. The spear went through its opened jaw and came out of the back of his head. The wolf fell on its side, its eyes lacking any signs of life.

Now, once more without his primary weapon, the hunter once again faced an angry wolf being ridden by an angry orc that just witnessed another one of its wolves die. Roya had sheathed her bow and pulled out a pair of short swords, ready to skewer that damn human.

Unlike her plans though, Alex was ready for her and slid under the big wolf, avoid the amateur slashes of the female orc and pushed his shield against the belly of the beast. He pushed up with the might of his whole body, causing the wolf to tip over its head, throwing off its rider.

Roya, who was a beast tamer and not a real fighter, had unconsciously let go of her twin blades. Alex quickly picked up the two short swords and abandoned his shield. He jumped on the wolf's back before it could recover and stabbed the two blades into its back. The beast went mad and frantically jumped left and right, trying to get the attacker off its back, but Alex held strong. He maintained his grip on one of the swords that was deeply embedded into the beast and used the other to constantly stab the wolf again and again until the beast whimpered into the ground and stopped moving.

Roya could do nothing but watch helplessly as the human killed the last of her partners, the one she was closest to. She tried to shoot him off with her bow, but her flimsy aim and the beast's desperate movement made it almost impossible to succeed.

Once the wolf was dead, she released an arrow at the blood soaked Alex, but the hunter rolled off the wolf's body, avoiding the arrow. She tried again and again, but the human easily avoided her attempts with his agile and athletic movements.

Soon Alex was in striking range and with a single swing of his blades, Roya's bow was sent flying away. The next swing of his blades reached her throat, but stopped just before it drew blood.

"It would better if you give up, Orc." His cold words filled Roya's heart with terror and rage, even though she didn't know his language. His blood filled visage was enough to rattle the strongest of hearts. "I don't want a lady's blood on my hands, even if she is an orc."

Although she didn't understand a single, Roya managed to grasp that he demanded surrender and slowly held up her hands in surrender. And just like that, the score was 2-0.
