So far, the line had stood strong in the face of thousands of enemy combatants. The invading army had been forced to split into smaller units, after they had entered the narrow streets of the Tournament town.

This stopped the numerically larger force from completely overwhelming the human army. This strategy allowed the few humans to hold back thousands of demons and undead, without sustaining majors casualties.

The mages also provided massive support to the melee fighters from the safety of their position. They bombarded the enemy with a barrage of spells of all the elements. The destructive spells thinned out the numbers of the enemy, but they were still too many.
