The bone lord who is the boss of the second floor looked menancing with red glow coming from the skeleton eyes. The gaps in between the bones is filled with dark energy. He was holding a gigantic sword in one hand and Axe in another hand.
The main issue with bone lord is the ability to inflict physical damage and also other dark status effects like all types of curses, Dark energy manipulation, Fear manipulation.
Due to Ash's cautious nature he was immune to some effects now due to Curse Immunity and Dark Immunity. Dark Immunity helps him resisting all the dark spells and status effects while curse immunity helps him completely resists curse immunity.
Now the issue with Ash and Raven is to deal with the Fear manipulation and its physical attacks. As soon as the bone lord saw Ash and Raven ti immediately activated its' fear.
"Jump Raven" shouted Ash. They both jumped away from the range of the skill and were able to evade. "Be careful with its fear manipulation and dark spells. They are more than enough for us to get us killed" explained Ash concentrating on the bone lord.
The Bone Lord immediately cast a dark spell "Dark Ray" on Ash.
["Dark Immunity" skill resisted the Dark Ray]
Notifications kept ringing in his head. It kept on blasting dark ray from the middle of the chest bones and came forward quickly to strike Ash using the weapons.
Ash saw that it came too quickly towards. It swinged the sword on him and Ash did a backflip in air to escape the sword. He was luckily able to escape even while dark ray is htting him.
Raven used the longswords with light energy and used them to plunge it on the back thigh of the bone lord. The bone lord felt immense pain and it stumbled back. Ash took aimed the arrow and infused the arrow with some light energy.
He shot it at the dark energy in the chest, but the bone lord reacted quickly and used the axe to strop the arrow. Though there was rebound on the axe due to light energy clashing with dark energy.
The bone lord's target changed. It looked at Raven and slashed the axe on her. Raven jumped and landed on a broken wall. The bone lord did not give her any chance and kept on using two weapons. Raven kept running on the wall and narrowly escaped every hit.
Ash infused three arrows with fire and launched all of them at the bone lord's face. It was able to deflect two aarrows with Axe, but the third arrow hit its throat part, where there was some dark energy.
"KRRAAAAAA" shout came for the first time from the Bone Lord. It used the fear manipulation and Ash got caught it in and could not escape.
Ash could not move and was feeling Fear after along time. Many memories of his past life flooded before his eyes.
He remembered that he was an orphan who was abandoned by his parents at a young age. He spent his time in the orphanage feeling lonely. The loneliness is one of the fear that he experienced in his last life.
He studied hard and came up through life. He learned his combat sports and martial arts to drive away the loneliness and also earned a few friends. He felt the fear of his friends abandoning him like his parents, so he worked hard. Luckily, that did not happen and his friends were good and supported him.
Even after coming into this world, he felt the fear of being abandoned due to his family for first 2 years due to his nasty father and bastard brothers.
But luckily in this life he had a great mother who loved him unconditionally. He has earned three friends Quinn, Rose and Raven who stood beside him.
The bone lord saw the state Ash was in and used the Sword and brought it down on him. Raven came in the nick of time and dragged him away.
"Sorry for doing this." said Raven and gave Ash a hard slap. Ash came out of his his fear state and looked at the surroundings confused.
"What happened?" asked Ash blinking his eyes. "You stupid moron. You got caught in the fear manipulation skill" shouted Raven and hugged him tight weeping.
"Don't scare me like that. You are the only person who were kind to me ever since I was reborn in this world. I don't want to lose you" she shouted while crying.
Ash's eyes widened and he hugged her back. "I'm Sorry" said Ash with a meek voice.
The bone lord this swung an axe, but Ash was ready this time. "Light Sword" shouted Ash and a gigantic white sword materialized and blocked the attack.
Ash gritted his teeth and blood started dripping from his nose. He used a lot of energy to cast the spell. "Looks like my energy reserves will be less from some time" said Ash with a smile.
This is the major drawback in Evocation. The high level spells draw out more energy than required which strains the person's body. Though the magic array is supplying him continuous energy and will not deplete completely, but reserves will be less for some time. During that time, the person will be vulnerable.
That is the reason why combat power is associated with evocation. Ash moved the sword with his internal amagic with white glow appearing on his hands. Using the sword, he pushed the Skeleton sword back.
The bone lord stumbled back. The light sword disappeared and Ash huffed a lot. "Looks like we need to take a physical attack route this time" said Raven wiping her tears and glaring at the bone lord.
"No need" said Ash. "Why?" asked Raven with confusion. "Look at it." said Ash with delight in his voice.
Raven looked at the bone lord and it was staggering. Raven could not believe her eyes. "What happened?" asked Raven with utmost confusion in her mind.
"Do you remember, that I have launched three arrows and only one of them hit it right?"
"Mhmm"
"I had combined the fire arrow with a little bit of light magic and released them".
"Yeah-" was about to say something when Raven stopped speaking and looked at Ash.
"The first arrow you launched was a test to see how it would react. You saw its reaction and launched three arrows instead of one so that it at least one of them would hit it" said Raven with surprise.
"Yes, but you are only half right" said Ash putting back his arrows and took out the blue adamantite spear which he created with his own hands.
He has been using a normal spear for sometime but now he decided to become serious.
"I aimed three arrows because the first two arrows are diversion and only of them would be the attack" said Ash crookedly smiling.
"I definitely underestimated it though. To protect itself, it used the fear manipulation with lots of mana depleting its mana reserves" said Ash.
"It would need a lot of mana to recover. Presently the light energy is inflicting damage in its throat and its combat awareness at a faster pace" said Ash.
"Did.. did you plan all of this from the start?" asked Raven with amazed expression.
"Yeah. A powerful fiend like bone lord cannot be defeated by physical attacks or other elements. You need light magic to defeat it, but it can definitely counter it with physical capabilities." explained Ash.
"Now, let us finish this charade. I don't want to waste more time here" said Ash with blood still coming out of his nose. He opened the status window.

He saw that, he lost 10000 hp because he used Light Sword. The spell had a drawback of depleting Health to activate.
The situation was so dire that, Ash had to do it. "System, inject Grade 5 Health potion and Soul healing potions" said Ash.
"Yes host." said the system and injected a grade 5 Health potion and Soul healing potion. Ash had 200 Grade 1 Health potions, 70 Grade 2 Health potions, 50 Grade 3 Health potions, 40 Grade 4 Health potions and 30 Grade 5 Health potions in inventory, 60 Soul healing potions.
He brewed all these potions before he started his journey to Vixen County. Ash wiped his nose and propelled himself towards the Bone Lord with his spear.
The bone lord may have become weak but its senses were still active. Ash's HP recovered back and he decided to deal with the bone lord once and for all.
He used the Blue Adamantite spear and plunged it towards the Bone Lords knee. The bone lord blocked it with the Axe and pushed Ash which made Ash fly in air. "It tried to use the sword and tried to smash Ash in the air.
Ash blocked the attack by erecting the energy barrier with little magic. "Gotcha" he said and the spear disappeared from his hand.
The spear was a feint, he used to trick the bone lord. In the air, he spinned like an incoming arrow and took out the arrow infused with light to plunge it directly into the chest portion of the bone lord.
The dark energy over there got overwhelmed with the light energy in the arrow. "Raven now" shouted Ash.
Raven released four water chakras which cut off the 4 heads of the bone lord. Without the heads the body fell and was about to fall on Ash. Ash ran and made a acrobatic jump forward escaping the body.
The body suddenly crumbled to dust.

He just missed a level up by 9000 points. But, he was happy because if he hunted other creatures it would have taken a long time to level up.
"A high risk, high reward" thought Ash. "Thank you, Raven " said Ash. Raven gave a nod in acknowledgement.
Raven fell down suddenly. "Ravennnn" shouted Ash and came to her. He touched her her pulse and it was good. He tried to sense the mana with the help of system. The mana in her body is entirely depleted. The body enhancement on her body came off. "You fool, you could have said that" shouted Ash.
He lifted her body which was light even for him and took it to another floor and hid silently. He decided to wait until she wakes up.
