Chapter 5

Xeos woke up a few days later and decided to head to the dungeon to get stronger. He remembered that his goddess wants him to get stronger and stronger for some reason and honestly he didn't care. He left the tower and went to the guild to register his new info. Once he finished with that he headed out to the dungeon and decided to head down to the 7th floor today since his goddess warned him to not be overconfident.

He finally made it to the entrance to the dungeon and saw stairs heading down to the first floor with a bunch of different adventurers and supporters leaving and entering the dungeon. He didn't give them another glance and headed down himself. His blood was itching to kill something and the urge was very strong. The closer he got, the more his blood gets excited.

He ran past everyone in a blur and entered the first floor and decided to get away from all the canon fodder around him. He doesn't care about them and should they get in his way, he won't hesitate to kill them if he can. He spent the next few minutes exploring the floor and walking around the corridors and he saw the stairs leading to the second floor.

He suddenly heard a sound of something breaking and turned around and notice three goblins coming out the wall. Without waiting, he rushed towards all three and killed them before they could leave. He heard more things breaking and continued to spawn kill the goblins for a bit since they were weak and he was much faster than a normal level one. To be fair his goddess told him due to his unique circumstances that his skills and reflexes/speed are equal to a level 2 because of all the shit he went through.

After a few more minutes, he went down to the second floor and continued to kill the goblins that were spawning. He picked up all the drops as he went and went down to the third floor where he saw a few kobolds and goblins mixed together having already spawned. He decided to learn their fighting style just because it could be useful later. The only reason he didn't do it earlier was simply because his blood-lust was pretty strong at first.

He spent the next few minutes dodging and toying with the monsters and was taking notes in his head on their speed, reflex, attack patterns, their recovery, and what not. After he got all the most useful information he needed, he killed them all and went on to the fourth floor. Technically speaking his strength is good enough for the early middle floors but his goddess wants him to take it easy enough.

So he decided that today he will go to the seventh floor and the next time to the tenth. Then he would go in increments of 2 so that way he makes progress. He just continued to kill for the next couple of hours collecting information and drops and was generally just having fun in his own way.

He returned to the surface after a while and headed towards the guild to turn in his drops. He earned roughly 35K Valis. Quite a haul but he never cared about the money but he does represent his familia now even though he doesn't truly care about them except for his goddess and even then it's mostly out of respect and gratitude. He decided to explore a bit and saw a little pallum girl being pushed around.

He thought about interfering but decided against it. It wasn't his problem and it didn't concern him. The pallum girl was crying and was able to escape from her abusers and ran out the alleyway and crashed into our MC.

Xeos looked down at her and couldn't contain his annoyance but didn't do anything to stop her. The pallum girl despite being afraid and hating adventurers, felt safe around this person for some reason and hid behind him and clung onto his back.

The adventurers from earlier approached Xeos in a menacing order and was about to demand him to stand down and walk away. Xeos couldn't stop the anger he felt from being annoyed and immediately attacked the fellow adventurers and knocked them out. He told the pallum girl she was safe now and walked away from her to continue exploring.

The pallum girl couldn't contain her shock at seeing this guy knocking out her fellow familia members and notice him walking away. She yelled out her thanks and said her name was liliruca arde. She asked for his name but saw that he was no longer there and was confused. She looked around and decided to give up and thank him properly if they ever meet again.

Xeos heard the pallum girl thank him and said her name but at the moment, he couldn't care less and was still annoyed from being dragged into a situation he wanted no part of. He only fought those adventurers because they pissed him off thinking that they were superior to him. After a couple more hours of walking around, he went back home to his goddess and had his stats appraised and saw that he did indeed grow stronger. {I'll add a stat sheet next Chapter at the beginning.}
