Here it goes—my next shot that I bet will hit the Stabode Bao. I pull the trigger and feel the recoil on my shoulder. It was a good shot, I can tell. I watch it shooting through the skeay, leaving a trail like a comet until the very moment it explodes.
Then there it is—the Starbode Bao, glowing in the darkness. Even though I have seen it, I'm still overwhelmed by its massive size. Then it lets out its loud noise. I feel like my brain is gonna melt! Argh!
"Excellent shot!" Parallax compliments. Stella makes loud angry clicks and pulses as an answer against the monster she hates. "Calm down, Stella," he says, caressing her head. "Let the Captain heave it to the surface." I think it's him who needs to calm down because of his blazing glare. "You will have your chance for revenge."
I bet everyone on the Regina far behind us is seeing this now. So I look back and see it gaining on us with its rear radiating light and leaving a glowing trail.
