"She said her name was. . . Fumiko," said Jiana.

That raises the eyebrows of Zuriel and Helena.

In amazement, Helena says, "Uncle. . . that—"

"What did you say her name was again?" he asks, cleaning his ear with his pinky.

"Fumiko," Jiana repeats. She turns around to see their faces and she's confused why they are looking so surprised. They even stopped walking.

"Are you serious, girl?" he doubts.

"Of course, I am!" she lets out.

"Did you sign any form of contract with her?"

"What's that?"

"I've been told that it's some kind of golden paper where you will write your name on it."

"She didn't show me anything like that so. . . no."

"Thank goodness," he sighs. Helena does the same. "And I just remembered that you're not an Outworlder. They said that woman only chooses Outworlders. So, you're safe, more or less."

"Why?" Jiana asks, being the only one who's left confused now.
